Spring 2024 CSE 390Z Workshop
COURSE OVERVIEW:

CSE 390Z is a workshop designed to provide academic support to students enrolled concurrently CSE 311, Foundations of Computing I. CSE 311, as described in the course catalog, “examines the fundamentals of logic, set theory, induction, and algebraic structures with applications to computing; finite state machines; and limits of computability.” While these concepts are at the core of computer science, they are very different than what many students have experienced in CS courses before. During each workshop section for CSE 390Z, students will reinforce concepts through collaborative problem solving, practice study skills and effective learning habits to succeed, and build a community for peer support to help support students throughout their time in the major.
