Second half goals from Carlisle United's Jamie Devitt and Hallam Hope condemned Cheltenham Town to a third successive defeat in League Two.

The result leaves Michael Duff's Robins in 21st and only two points clear of the relegation zone ahead of three home games in a row against sides around them in the table, with Macclesfield Town, Cambridge United and Yeovil Town all visiting the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Defender Charlie Raglan made a solid start to his loan spell from Oxford United, but there were not many positives for Duff at Brunton Park, where Cheltenham have now gone 12 Football League appearances without a win.
