We are both sophomores at Marist School and we're super excited for our campaign! Ella plays softball for Marist and is a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan. She has an older brother who has signed up to be on our team and help our campaign. Grace Caroline plays soccer for Concorde Fire and Marist. She has two younger brothers, one of which has also signed up for our team to help save lives. Over the summer we were nominated to be candidates and we gladly jumped at the opportunity! We are leading a team in an effort to raise money and awareness for blood cancer research to find a cure.

Thank you!

Hey guys! Ella and Grace Caroline want to thank you so much for supporting us through this campaign and helping us achieve our goal and fight cancer! Please remember that every dollar, no matter the amount, goes to helping people fight and find a cure for blood cancers. Thanks!

Welcome to Team Claws For A Cure's SOY Fundraising Page!

Dec 05, 2019

We are honored to participate as candidates for the 2020 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are proud to raise critical dollars in honor of Autumn Murray, a young patient hero who is currently in remission from lymphoma.

Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

I am proud to contribute to this great work from Grace Caroline and Ella. Childhood cancers remain a significant problem worldwide and important research is underway to find cures for these horrible diseases. Our contributions will help eliminate leukemia and lymphoma by funding critical studies to find effective treatments for pediatric cancer.

My Dad Ron had Hodgkins disease when he was 40 in 1984 and beat it. However, he died from Bladder Cancer at 62. I've had Doctors tell me that a possible contributing factor to the Bladder cancer was the Radiation etc he went through to beat the Lymphoma. Research and more effective and less harmful treatments back then may have prevented his death. Good luck and God Bless you for your efforts. Mark Thompson

Way to go Grace Caroline! Leukemia is something that’s near and dear to my heart because my dad lost his battle with it when I was 15. Treatment has come so far since then and with people like you taking interest in it- who knows where we’ll be with treatment in the years to come!!!! Thank you!!!!
