About this ebook

Live-in tutor wanted for four-year-old. Must be willing to relocate to a remote mountain estate. $3K/week cash.

On the run from ruthless killers, I’m down to ten bucks in my wallet and a half-tank of gas in my ancient car when I spot the ad. The job sounds like the answer to my prayers, but there’s a catch.

The child’s father is the most beautiful, most dangerous man I’ve ever met.

Darkly seductive and filthy rich, Nikolai Molotov is a tantalizing mystery, a lethally alluring contradiction. Bruised knuckles and tailored suits, tender endearments and dirty promises—my new employer draws me in like a magnet, even as my instincts scream for me to run.

I should’ve heeded them… because I’m not the only one with secrets.

My safe haven just might be the devil’s lair, and once he’s claimed me, it will be too late to run.

Audiobook: Narrators - Ava Erickson & Teddy Hamilton This is the Gold Premier of narration! Either of these narrators alone is enough for me but put them together and it was sheer perfection. Both of their male/female voices was performed in such a way that my mind never consciously recognized that a they were doing the opposite sex’s voice - which is usually where I struggle with audiobooks. I was pulled completely into this story through the emotional depth portrayed by both Ms. Erickson and Mr. Hamilton. Loved how their work fused together so seamlessly. This was filled with lots of dark danger and desire making it impossible to stop once I started. Chloe captured my heart pretty quickly as she had a certain amount of innocence about her while danger was hunting her down. I love a heroine that needs rescuing and Nikolai was perfect for the job. However, there is something dark lurking within him and surrounding his life. His obsession with her was palpable and quite delicious. It kept me on the edge each time I had his point of view. I loved the way this author wove the plotline with so many variables. Even the secondary characters are questionable as to whether I could trust them with this heroine. I was nibbling on my nails throughout this whole book. However, experiencing Slava through both Chloe’s and Nikolai’s eyes was so sweet and endearing. I can’t wait to find out how his relationship with his father is going to work out. With a cliffhanger that had me shouting in denial at leaving me hanging as it did, I’m imagining all sorts of scenarios with this couple as well as Slava in the next book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review. Live-in tutor wanted for four year old. Must be willing to relocate to a remote mountain estate. $3k/week cash. On the run from ruthless killers, I'm down to ten bucks in my wallet and a half-tank of gas in my ancient car when I spot the ad. The job sounds like the answer to my prayers, but there's a catch. The child's father is the most beautiful, most dangerous man I've ever met. Darkly seductive and filthy rich, Nikolai Molotov is a tantalizing mystery, a lethally alluring contradiction. Bruised knuckles and tailored suits, tender endearments and dirty promises-my new employer draws me in like a magnet, even as my instincts scream for me to run. I should've heeded them... because I'm no the only one with secrets. My safe haven just might be the devil's lair, and once he's claimed me, it will be too late to run. This book is absolutely amazing. Once you pick it up you are not going to be able to lay it down. I loved it so much and feel so hard for Nikolai. Oh holy cow I don't know that I've ever fallen for a lead male character so fast but he is absolutely amazing, even if I am not so sure what it was that exactly he does. I have my suspicions like Chloe does but I'm still just not sure if its the mob or the mafia or something else. He is powerful and lethal and dark but when he sees the picture of Chloe on her application he knows that that is the one who was the other half of him. I am getting ahead of myself though I am so crazy about him. Chloe is on the run and she doesn't even know from who or why. She comes home late from college and find the her mom in the kitchen dead and in her haste to get in the house forgot her phone and purse in her car but hears the men and hides. Seeing one of them while hiding then she runs but a black truck has been trying to run over her and then they get brave and shoot at her in public in broad day light. Then she sees the ad and applies for the job and gets it. On a remote mountain she feels so safe and is the tutor for the cutest four year old that is also going to steal your heart. But he really isn't connected to his dad. That broke my heart but never fear Chloe will work her magic. These two have an instant connection but then things happen and you will be on the edge of your seat. I can't tell you a thing about that for it would be a spoiler, but I will say that I had my heart in my throat terrified for Chloe and to say I need the second book now is a understatement. Yes this is a dark romance about a dark dominant super protective businessman who had this super protective side who will steal your heart but it is also one beautiful story about family too and I loved it so much.

Enter this devil’s lair! 4 stars I was pulled into this story right away, and it never let me go. When Chloe entered Nikolai’s life and home, she unknowingly entered the devil’s lair, and I was excited by it all. They had an instant attraction, and their chemistry was intense. He was fascinated by her and felt a pull toward her. She felt it too, but she also felt his danger and darkness lurking underneath his civilized appearance. He wanted to possess and protect her, and she was the light to his darkness. Her light also had some dark moments, and I felt for her many times. She was a smart, kind woman that I liked. He was my kind of anti-hero and devil who was not afraid to get his hands dirty along with his dark, possessive, protective qualities. What started as an instant attraction between them turned into a “powerful connection” that captivated me. But with that connection came mysteries that intrigued me and kept me reading. The events that transpired at the end of this book had me on the edge of my seat with tears in my eyes, so as I read the last page I was already anxiously awaiting the conclusion to this duet! I definitely recommend you enter this devil’s lair! I requested and received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review that I am voluntarily leaving.
