About this ebook

Reagan:

I hate him. Jude Titan is everything that’s wrong with the male sex: cocky, domineering and loaded with swagger. Oh, and did I mention he’s a Republican? Yeah, the guy’s so conservative he leans to the right when walking. And lucky me, I’m running against him for Senate. But I’ve got plenty of fight in me. A golden boy war hero opponent with a smile that leaves melted panties in its wake? Bring. It. On.

Jude:

Damn, she’s sexy. Reagan Preston intrigues me from the moment I lay eyes on her. And speaking of laying…I want between those thighs. But I want to make her burn for me first. Every debate and stolen moment is foreplay for us. She claims she hates me, but her body tells a different story. I plan to win this election, but I also want to win the sharp, fiery Democrat who captures my attention like no woman ever has. Politics is filthy, just like all the things I want to do to Reagan Preston.

This book has everything political drama, secrets revealed but overall it is a love story. Jude and Reagan are opponents for the Senate seat vacated by Reagan’s father. Jude is considered the underdog. No political experience, ex-military, but has great ideas on changes he wants to bring to Washington especially concerning Veterans. Reagan is considered the establishment, daughter of a politician and currently serving in the State senate. They should hate each other but at the first moment of interaction they can’t deny the attraction. Jude is the last guy Reagan should want. How can they win each others heart when there can only be one winner for the Senate seat? I really liked this story. I love that underneath everything it was a love story without a lot of drama. I also loved how strong Reagan was. Even though she wanted to make her dad proud of her she wanted to do it her own way. I also like how neither played those political games. My favorite part of the book was the sneaking around. It was so cute. So without spoiling this book any more than the tidbit I gave, you should really read this book. I am a fan of Brenda’s work and she really did a great job with Chelle.

******** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ******** Well this is a total first for me, I’ve never read Brenda Rothert before and now I’m getting her combined with Chelle Bliss. After three books from Miss Bliss, I’ve come to see that she writes some incredible sexy times. I can’t seem to get enough of her naughtiness! These two together are a hit! I don’t really read political stories. I don’t enjoy the issues and the underhandedness that comes with it. Lordy, Jude and Reagan are in a fight against each other. I found this a bit funnier than the other Bliss books and I attribute that to co-writing. I liked it though. The characters were interesting and very developed. You can’t go wrong with these two narrations. Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York was a match made in perfect ear heaven! There’s this rough and gruffness to York’s voice that I just loved. Miss Leigh has a really enjoyable counter sound to York. He’s hard and gruff while she’s soft and airy.

Go buy this book. Seriously, why are you reading my review? I gave my opinion which is go buy the book and devour it. It's like the Pringles ad - Once you pop (open the book) you can't stop. Why the overt fangirling? BECAUSE ITS AWESOME THATS WHY. For a first time duo team writing, they could have written under a pseudonym Brenelle Blishert and I would have thought it was one person. Their writing styles blend effortlessly. I've read from both authors and immensely enjoyed their individual storytelling. However, when they come together - just as fun, just as HOT, and just as much my sentimental heart loves in a romance tale as I would expect them to deliver. I loved seeing the dual POV from Jude and Reagan portrayed as the story unfolded. Each character was strong and carried their piece of the romance without overpowering the other. I loved that their love story carried the novel and wasn't a hidden agenda for anything else. Did the story premise have some ups and downs? Of course - any time you meet someone you are 'pre-destined' to hate, the story to HEA isn't going to be smooth. But Bliss and Rothert give you a story with just enough, you don't feel emotionally rung out and most importantly - when you get to the end you want MORE. And did I want MORE? Yes, I did what any self respecting fangirl does. I told them on FB (rally the troops) that my book was too short, missing pages. Because I loved it so much I didn't want Jude and Reagan to end. Now, I have a book hangover. I feel sorry for the next book having to live up to this 5++ star read from me. I truly hope this isn't the only time that Bliss/Rothert team get together to deliver a fantastic story - I hope this is a many more to come. 5 out of 5 wish I could give more stars stars Before I forget - yes, I got this as an ARC from team Bliss/Rothert but it was already on my radar as my dear friend Janett let me know "You will want to read this book". So regardless - gifted or purchased I'd be feeling the same. Oh, and on release day, I'll be re-reading this bad boy because I love to have the first read happiness (again).
