Leadership for Inclusion Award sponsored by LINC

The LINC consortium partners (Mary Immaculate College, Early Childhood Ireland, and Maynooth University – Froebel Department) wish to recognise and highlight some of the great work occurring across the country concerning the inclusion of all children within Early Learning and Care settings. This award focuses on the pillars of an inclusive culture, inclusive practice, and inclusive pedagogy which are the foundation of the LINC Programme. The award is open to all Early Learning and Care settings and seeks to recognise a setting that exemplifies the aims of the LINC programme, supporting the inclusion of all children.

In this short video our CEO, Teresa Heeney explains why the range of Early Childhood Ireland National Annual Awards are key to ensuring that our sector receives the recognition it deserves for all of the important work over the last year, including creating the best possible environments for children, ensuring partnership with parents while also exploring new and innovative ways to provide excellent experiences for children.

Being and Becoming Mathematicians Through Play

In this book, the Educators take a maths lens and make visible for us the wonderfully enjoyable and rich process of young children being and becoming mathematicians.

Throughout the pages of this book, the children demonstrate how they engage in mathematical learning. In their everyday play and interactions, they experience and explore their world developing and growing their mathematical understanding. Page after page the power of play in a child's life is made visible.

Course of the week - Manager's course
Did you know that by becoming an administrator on the Learning Hub you can view the progress of employees as they progress through the Skills Programmes? Have you considered how much time you want staff to spend doing training on the Learning Hub and what skills you want each employee to focus on? Do you know how to assign courses to each employee?

The Welcome to Managers course on Early Childhood Ireland’s Learning Hub will show you how to get the most out of this incredible member benefit. The course is short and can be accessed and repeated by managers at any time. This gives managers the ability to assign courses, track learning and provide key insights for discussion with employees during support and supervision.

Please note that manager access will be cross-referenced to the primary contact on the Early Childhood Ireland membership.

If you haven’t registered yet, you can log in here. If you are registered, you can access the course at the link below.
