Even though this Mafia Romance follows a different couple (Gabriel and Victoria), it should be read after book 1, From Son to Soldier (Jefferson & Giovanna), as the general storyline starts there.

I eagerly awaited the 2nd instalment in the Vicci Crime Family series and I wasn't disappointed. I also thought there was something more in Gabriel's past, something that he kept hidden, and with his best friend Angelo now thrust back into the family business after Gabriel's 20-year-old daughter was kidnapped, his past could tear him apart.
Retribution is a dish best served cold, but now Gabriel's job is to kill all the firstborns in retaliation for the recent hit on the family. The only trouble being that one of those firstborns is the only woman Gabriel has ever loved but was forced to give up all those years ago. Victoria never got over her love for Gabriel, she is just getting on with her life, then Gabriel steps back into her world. Time is running out for Gabriel and Victoria, he needs to find a solution or he will be forced to do the unthinkable.
Please don't make me wait for the next instalment, like any good drama, you just want the next episode now!

From Past To Present had me holding my breath and my heart in my throat as you were taken between the then and now. Heartbreak, loyalty, devotion and sacrifices were only part of what your heart will be taken through. Decisions that were made in the past now affecting the present will have you on the edge of your seat. There was angst, anticipation, suspense, regret and a yearning for what should have been. Gabriel and Victoria’s story is one that will make your heart ache and have you wishing on that same star. Two people that had loved each other with their entire hearts will need to grab hold and trust like they had never done before. An ending that has me more enamoured with this series and counting down the days until we meet again.

Book 2 in the Vicci Crime Family series. Gabriel is part of a Notorious crime family who gave up his true love for her own safety. This book takes place after he is given an order to kill the first born child of other crime families. Some will be easier than others. Victoria was living her life as well as she could without her true love. When they are thrown back together what will happen? Can they be together now? Will it work? This was a great read not only did we get caught up from the last book we got a great deal of more information. This was a great quick read that was worth the wait. Of course the twist and turns and uncovering of more information has me wanting more. The next book can not come out fast enough! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

We hear more about Gabriel in this story, and his past come a knocking and a crime family is part of his life, and having orders is part of his living. Some orders easier than others, killing children one of the hardest.
This was a great read. Lots of different characters, with unexpected twist and turn,
more information in the story to sink our teeth in and steamy scenes to heat the sheets.
I can’t wait for the next encounter.

On The Edge of My Seat!!
What happens when you have to give up the woman you love because it was ordered of you to do so? Gabriel is ever the loyal soldier for the Vicci Crime Family…until one day maybe he is not. Years later the order has come to kill the first born of a rival crime family and guess who’s on that list!!
This book was full of angst, loyalty and love and it was a page turner for me. I can’t wait for more from this series.

Theo’s book was definitely a page turner continuing off from the last book questions answered and yet more needs to be resolved especially with the bomb at the end (not literally) wow what’s gonna happen next ? I only wish there was more to read !! I can’t wait for the next book !

Gabriel and Victoria’s Second Chance.
What full-on ride this book was!!! FROM PAST TO PRESENT is the second book in Author K.L. Myers’ Vicci Crime Family series and is best read after the novella entitled FROM SON TO SOLDIER, Jefferson and Giovanna’s book, which I’ll tell you now that I absolutely loved, AND which set the scene perfectly for Gabriel’s second chance with his first love. Hell’s teeth, I was desperate to find out how he ended up married to someone like Giovanna’s mother!!!
I also want to add that I was introduced to the important background characters, and to Angelo and Bethany Rizzuto, and Bethany’s son Jefferson, in her earlier LOVE at Last series, and while you don’t need to read them, you’ll be missing out on some pretty awesome books that feature some serious alphas. Not all powerful men are from within the realms of the mafia.
Ms Myers kept the angst, the cracking pace and the heartbreak on high as we were privy to Gabriel and Victoria’s deep and adoring love, and their initial enforced separation. I was gutted!!!! In the dual POV, Gabriel catches us up on their history till we get to the job that Angelo has given Gabriel to complete. End the life of his former love. Thankfully Angelo is still the romantic mafia character that so many readers of Author K.L. Myers have fallen on love with, “Find me a solution, then. One that saves Victoria’s life and doesn’t make the family look weak.” Gabriel’s best friend is still a man who will listen to the counsel of another close to him. The thing is, the mafia world created by Ms Myers has more twists than your average pretzel!
This is not just another mafia book. Oh no way. The Vicci Crime family work hard, and take the trash out when it’s required. They also love hard, love loyally and love unconditionally. Our heroes are most definitely all very alpha, but their women are more than capable of holding their own!
Again, I am addicted to this author’s writing, and I’ll be stalking social media waiting for her next release!!!! For this one though, it’s 5-Star strong! 🖤ೋ

Ok I admit I got confused at times in this one, so many similar names and families either different ones or connected by marriage, trying to figure out who was who from where had my head spinning. Having said that this plot is intricate it has a lot going on and is continued from the first book, multiple POV's as well, I didn't find it as easy reading as the first but enjoyed it none the less. Characters are great and interesting, most of the action or event scenes are either fast or only mentioned after the fact or in planning. There are a few jumps in time. I would have liked a little more of the couple since really she is only in a small part of the story so I didn't feel I got a chance to know her that well, romance is really only a tiny part of the story most of it is the betrayal, threats, and various families fighting each other. A possible solution maybe family tree or run down list of who's who either at the front or end of the book just to help readers keep it all straight. It is well written and as powerful as the first book, it still held my focus for the most part and I definitely enjoyed reading so it's still worth the score and others may find it easier to follow the names/families than I did. I think it's just a small complication of having lots of characters and the subject of mafia families in general as names get used down the generations. Overall this was a great read.

Don’t you just love it when books within a series get better and better with each installment? I know I sure do! And that was the case here.
While From Past to Present follows Gabriel’s story, it HAS to be read after book 1 since the general “mafia” storyline starts there. In fact, this book picked up right where book 1 left off so to avoid any potential spoilers of From Son To Soldier, I won’t get into the plot. Just know that things developed VERY WELL along the way and had me feeling the NEED to find out how it would all unravel.
After breaking her heart many years ago, Gabriel never imagined he’d get a second chance with Victoria. His life revolved around his daughter (book 1’s main character) and the crime family he was a part of. But of course, things don’t always go as planned and heck, life sometimes surprises us in the best way possible.
It wasn’t easy for them, though. Victoria had to not only forgive him, but understand and accept the reality he brought along with him. And things were not simple.
Secrets, betrayal, drama — suffice it to say, I was hooked. Gabriel and Victoria’s story did not disappoint and I am already dying for book 3!

K. L. Myers is the author that has written this book and she knows what she's doing.
Her writing is raw and wild, intense and emotional.

One heads up. You must read From Son to Soldier first. This book is the beginning of this series and the events that happened there will continue with this new book.

From Past to Present is Gabriel's story, and while it's a short(ish) read, it packs a great big mafia punch which I have missed. He fell in love with Victoria when he was younger, but was told that he couldn't be with her so he had to break both of their hearts to keep her out of his life & safe. Now he's not that young man anymore and has a grown up daughter, and very close to his boss, Angelo. Things are chaotic with betrayal so Gabriel has to kill some Mancini capos firstborn kids, in which he sees that Victoria is on the list. I mean that's a hell of a complication since he never stopped loving her, so he has to find a solution before he fails the family and/or she's dead by another's hand. Will Gabriel be able to do so in a very short time?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Once again author KL Myers has outdone herself! What a great continuation to the Vicci Crime Family series!

Another terrific Vicci Crime Family romance! The picks up where the first book, From Son to Soldier, left off with Gabriel ordered to do what he does best...end lives. Until he comes up against his true love and the girl he was forced to give up. He's in a predicament. How can he end his forever girl? But first he has to make amends with Victoria after he broke her heart. Can he really disobey orders and save her? The drama is high as this romance plays out amid the backdrop of brutal battles, secrets, and betrayal. Loads of twists and turns in this thrilling mafia romance with delicious characters in Gabriel and Victoria. Worth the read!

From Past to Present was an amazing book by KL Myers! I was hooked again from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down! The characters and story just draw you in and keep you interested. A definite must read. 4.5⭐️

PERFECT! I love KL Myers and this series is one of my newest top favorites! Gabriel and Victoria’s was amazing! I love a well-written mafia story and this one killed it! AMAZING!
