Keep Freshman Press as part of Washington University in St. Louis' pre-orientation program. The program has been around for nearly two decades and has always been self-funded, given that it is connected with Student Life, the entirely independent, student-run newspaper at Wash U. Hundreds of students have gone through the training, offering them a chance to become actively engaged in campus life and with their peers. Freshman Press has been an instrumental part in the careers of many students, who have gone on to careers in the field.
