Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

Reviewed: Flirting With A Good Time by Willow Winters.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another Note: This story is part of an anthology: The I have Lived and I have Loved Anthology by Top Shelf Romance. I will be reviewing the other books in the anthology soon.

This story was a 3 chapter story of a heroine wanting love, when every other friend of hers had found it, and her past crashes with her present at a convienient time, to give her another chance at love and redemption.

A sweet story overall, with plenty of romance, steam, and a quick plot and good writing. I hope this short will be converted into a full novella (someday) to find out more about the heroine and the hero overall. I loved it anyway.

Until the next read,

This might be short but it doesn’t skimp on the sweet! Autumn’s friend Sharon just wants to find her soulmate and her longtime crush, Cade seems like the right one. This is short, delightful read and gives you a glimpse into the new series, Tequila Rose. Part of the Live a thousand lives charity anthology.

From the beginning to the end, I Have Lived and I Have Loved is filled with captivating, romantic stories that will stay in your heart long after you have read the last lines.
As you look at the titles and authors, you feel like you are in an amusement park, with all those rides and attractions, and you just do not know which one to choose first. Which order is right for you?
And whether you decide to start with Cade and Sharon and their long-held desire that explodes when these two see each other after years. Flirting with a Good Night by Willow Winters is another proof that her storytelling skills are masterful. Like all her stories, this short story will also set your kindle on fire.
Or the combined story ‘Baby, it’s Cold Outside’ by Corrine and Melanie about two strangers, whose story begins with a Christmas tree and turns into something so emotional, fun, and charming. Believe me, this story will delight you with its perfect mix of romance, sweetness, and humor.
Maybe forbidden love stories are more your cup of tea. Then be sure not to miss the story of Jenna Hartley, who with her main characters Wolfe and Sumner will leave you speechless. A short affair, a young heroine who will turn the world of the older guy upside-down. Packed with hot scenes and sweet moments, this story will bring a smile to your face for sure.
If you are also fascinated by stories about sexy alpha men and innocent girls then White Ribbon by Aleatha Romig is the right choice for you. Van and Julia and their cabin will capture your attention from the first few lines. Attraction, chemistry, and the present moment ... everything culminates when the two are together ... And the ending just promises a lot…
One, two, or all stories ... whatever you choose, you won’t be wrong. From funny and hilarious moments to steamy scenes, sexy, swoon-worthy heroes, and amazing heroines, there’s something for everyone.
Finally, I must admit that I am delighted with this wonderful anthology, and not only with the wonderful stories, but also with the very gesture of the authors. I am especially glad that some of my favorite authors are amazing, socially responsible people, who devote their time and talent to such a noble cause. Who selflessly give something of their own to help those who are not so lucky. For that very reason, all of us readers should support this initiative. And the fact that we will undoubtedly enjoy these romantic stories is an added bonus for us. Bravo.

Shaken by Livia Grant was an awesome tease of a story! I need more!
These characters Lanie and Jacob! And my heart broke with Lanie's story and how she was treated.
This story was quick, too quick, and very endearing.
The Devil's Chessboard by Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde
Hades and Persphone set in the Tanglewood setting. I need more of this story.
White Ribbon by Aleatha Romig
Van and Julia's unexpected meeting and coming together and their blissful reunion.
Once Upon a Snowstorm by Jennifer Bene with Flint and Brinnah, two people meeting again after not seeing each other for years and it is a stormy meeting!

This is my review for Flirting with a Good Time and it was a sweet and steamy short read. Sharon and Cade have been dancing around each other for a while but neither acted on it until they had a little push from a friend. Great chemistry between them. Loved this quick read. Highly recommend getting the Live a Thousand Lives Charity anthology.

It took me a bit longer than anticipated to get thru my read of this collection because every time I’d read one of the stories and/or moments in time I’d immediately want to jump on Amazon to see where/when I could get more which always turned into me going down a rabbit hole of new books and time always gets away from me when this happens.

But I digress! Let me tell you something about this collection, it is delightful! I smiled every time I picked it up to read and kept smiling the entire time I read! It is just a lovely collection of love stories that give you a snippet into the writing style of so many different authors! It is a gem of a collection and I highly recommend it to all romance fiction readers!

OK this is a review based on the story by Livia Grant. "Shaken"is one story out of several in the "I Have Lived and I Have Loved" Anthology. I am part of her ARC group and so I was able to read her story earlier than most. I really love Livia's stories so I feel that it is a privilege to be able to read her stories as part of her ARC group, that said I am always honest about what I read and you can trust my opinion.

Shaken mostly takes place in an elevator that was disabled after an earthquake in an multi-story office building. Alaina Bennette CPA is trapped in the elevator for several hours with a man who identifies himself as "JR" and they talk. Alaina talks about her day and gets to know JR, after a while they really get to know each other with some pretty hot sex. Of course they eventually get out of the elevator and they continue the day together.

I really liked this short story, it has really excellent dialog. Most of the story consists of Alaina and JR talking and getting to know each other. I am certain that you will like this story too.

MINI REVIEW
I had the pleasure of reading an arc for Jenna Hartley’s Inevitable from this anthology and I really enjoyed it! This forbidden age gap love story had me hooked from the start. For being short, it had plenty of feels and fantastic steam! I want a full book of this couple!! It also has me wanting to read the rest of this anthology to see what other gems are included! Definitely check it out!

I received an ARC for Inevitable- a story within this anthology for my honest review.

This is a wonderful collection of short stories by an impressive group of writers. Plus, it raises money for a great cause, the Live A Thousand Lives charity.

My favorites of the collection are Inevitable, White Ribbon and Christmas At The White House.

Inevitable by Jenna Hartley
It's a forbidden romance between Jonathan and Sumner. Jonathan is Sumner's father's best friend and her boss. He's also twenty-three years older than her. Since she was a teen, Sumner fantasized about being with Jonathan. After seeing her all grown up, Jonathan is finding Sumner hard to resist. They tried to fight it, but were they inevitable?

There's a lot in this short story that encompasses a six-month time frame. It is a story about finding love where you least expected it and the importance of pursuing what makes you happy. I enjoyed this fun, steamy romance. I would love to read more about Jonathan and Sumner in the future.

White Ribbon by Aleatha Romig
Julia is engaged, but the upcoming marriage is more of a business deal than a love story. After discovering her fiance's infidelity, Julia decides to take a new job out of town immediately. On her way, she's caught in a surprise snowstorm and has to be rescued by a stranger. Has she been saved or captured?

Good things do come in small packages; I need more of Van and Julia! Their story is a romantic-suspense prequel for a new release, Red Sin, out in October 2021. So, thankfully, there is more to come. Successful businessman Van is linked to Lennox Demetri, his onetime enemy and current mentor. I love Lennox from Romig's Infidelity series, so I want to know more about his connection to Van. The twist at the end of the story definitely left me intrigued!

Christmas At The White House by KA Linde
Brady and Liz are one of my all time favorite couples. There’s just nothing like them! Those new to The Record series get a great introduction to the series and the special magic that is Brady and Liz. Fans of the series will delight in this glimpse of Brady & Liz during their first Christmas in the White House (yes, the White House!!!). This incredible short story is one that I’ll revisit any time I need a quick Brady and Liz fix.

Grab I Have Lived and I Have Loved today for some captivating romance stories! I enjoyed stories from some of my favorite authors and found some "new to me" authors to read in the new year.

I have lived and I have loved is not only a fantastic anthology but it is a fantastic anthology that is going to an amazing cause. I love when I can support a great cause and get little tastes from some of my favorites or even new to me authors. This collection was just that. From the beginning to the very end, each story gives you the very best of what we all desire. It cuts right to the heart and gives us the sexiest, swoony, and sweetest moments of these sinful and delicious short novellas. I fell in love with each couple and loved that they were all so perfect and different. Each writer or duet of writers captured my attention quickly and held it every moment of their story. I can’t wait to read more from the new to me authors and to check out the rest of the stories that have “more to come.” Nikki Ash really delivered with her story bringing us Sierra and Kolton’s story( Keegan’s brother from Fool Me Once) There are just too many great to name them all.

Cr8zysockbookblock’s wrap up
If you want to read “all the good parts” This the book to read on a cold winter's day. It will warm

I love a good charity anthology- not only because I love supporting meaningful causes but because it gives me a chance to have quick visits with loads of my favorite authors and perhaps helps me find some new ones. There are a ton of sweet and swoony and sexy reads in this anthology- a great chance to get a quick bite of a story as you relish in the different writing styles and story telling approaches of these fantastic and lauded authors.

While I found all of the short stories in here to be 4 or 5 star reads, my absolute favorites were Jenna Hartley’s, Corrine Michaels and Melanie Harlow’s, and Nikki Ash’s.

Jenna Hartley is such a gem- her stories are sweet and sexy, with an underlying tenderness and gentleness. Here, she tries her hand at her most forbidden story yet- and it is a triumph. Super sexy, definitely taboo, but still with the heart that I love about her books. Even in this short- you fall madly in love with Jonathan and Sumner as Sumner falls in love with her fathers best friend, also her boss, and 23 years her senior. We get heat, amazing chemistry, and a heroine who is mature beyond her years and incredibly likable. It is steamy, but also about not holding back from what and WHO will make you happy. I loved it.

Corrine and Melanie are such a dream team- with a spirited story that had me feel all swoony and festive. Two strangers who meet because of a Christmas tree. This has everything I love about both authors- heart, some light hearted humor, charming characters with well scribed voices, and an unlikely but serendipitous meet cute scenario. A total delight!

Nikki Ash’s is the meatiest of the bunch- and to me, had the most emotional resonance. These were new to me characters, but Nikki sucked me in straight away. I loved this story about second chances and forgiveness. Nikki always creates such dynamic chemistry between her characters, and brings great steam, too.

Loved these quick reads- the rest of the cast is enjoyable, too.

Specific story in anthology being reviewed:

Inevitable by Jenna Hartley

In Inevitable we get an age gap/forbidden romance between Wolfe and Sumner. Wolfe was a secondary character featured in a couple of books in Hartley's Love in LA series, however it is not necessary to have read those before reading this story. I really enjoyed this story. It was a really fast read but the characters were still developed well. It almost read like a little slide show/snippet of their time together. The story starts with them having a short love affair while on a week long work trip and then follows them for a few months after that period. Overall I thought the characters were enjoyable and the story had all the elements you could want.

I read White Ribbon by Aleatha Romig

This was a really lovely story and I was able to read it while taking a bath it was just the right length.  While the reason for Julia being caught in a snowstorm was horrible, the outcome was amazing and brought tears to my eyes but I didn’t want it to end and am so looking forward to reading more.

I also read Shaken by Livia Grant

Lanie has had a horrible day and then to top it all there is an earthquake and she is trapped in an elevator with a handsome young man. Jacob did what her bosses should have done, he listened and drew the correct conclusion.  It must have been terrifying to be locked in without food water or light and yet in a strange way it brought Lanie and JR closer together.  This was a lovely short story and the ending was wonderful.  I hope we hear more from Ms. Grant about this couple.

This is a review specifically for Inevitable by Jenna Hartley.

This is a fathers best friend/age gap romance and I couldn’t get enough. Wolfe has been previously been mentioned in other stories by Jenna so I was happy to see him getting a story.

Sumner is an intern at her father’s company and is working with Wolfe. While on a trip the have a short lived. However, after they return they can’t deny the connection and the chemistry that is between them. I couldn’t get enough of these two and their relationship. There were so many sweet moments, plenty of steamy ones and a romance that will make you fall in love.

Flirting With A Good Time is short and sweet, instant gratification!

This read may only be a few chapters but it definitely doesn’t skimp on the steamy goodness. Cade and Sharon have small sparks of chemistry between them that both have noticed years ago, but neither acting on their attraction. Now they’ve both grown up and Cade’s back in town. Ready to finally give in to their true feelings, when these two get together it’s all kinds of HOT! Fun and steamy!

<>iI Have Lived and I Have Loved has star studded line up and some amazing power packed performances. Every romance lover needs this anthology in life. Sexy. Steamy. Sweet. Emotional. These stories cover the full spectrum of romance and will make you want to read more and more.

BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE By Melanie Harlow & Corrine Michaels was my favourite story. It's a holiday romance and I just loved all the cheery , sweet and adorable feels.Harlow and Michael meet through a neighbourly incident and hit off instantly on a snowy night. This was full of steamy chemistry and swoony emotions.Cute. Flirty. Sexy. Just amazing.

THE DEVIL’S CHESSBOARD By Skye Warren & Amelia Wilde is an example of what happens when two masterminds come together. Featuring Gabriel and Avery from Skye Warren's The Pawn and Hades and Persephone from Amelia Wilde's King of Shadowns. These two alpha men are definition of antiheroes. Rough and soft. Possessive and ready to give life for the women they love. My heart and body melted. If you haven't read about these men, you are missing big time. My only regret- I need more!

WHITE RIBBON by Aletha Romig is a lesson in how to deliver a novella that is equally enticing and brilliant like a full length novel. The author captured all the drama and steam so beautifully. Socialite Julia finds herself in a snow storm after leaving her fake and empty life behind. And she is rescued by a gorgeous and confident man. Little does she know that Van is so much more than what he shows and her life is going to change. Sensual and sinful. Dramatic and explosive. Sweet yet sassy Julia and alpha deliciousness of Van will capture you instantly. I am in love and lust.

THE INEVITABLE By Nikki Ash is almost full length novel with the author's signature blend of steam, feels and swoon. Characters with complex backstory and their angsty emotions hooked me right in. Kolton is so dreamy and perfect but not without demons. Sierra had a rough past but she is resilient and strong. The chemistry was on point.

SHAKEN By Livia Grant is my first read by the author and I absolutely loved it. It was a fun read with loads of hot and sweet feels. Lanie gets stuck at an elevator with a stranger in a distressed state after getting fired wrongly by her company. Shared food, wine and kisses later, the real identity of the stranger is revealed. And Lanie is shocked. It was a good time and I enjoyed it so much!

INKED FANTASY By Carrie Ann Ryan is Liam and Arden's novella from Montgomery Ink series. The couple spends a dirty night of fantasy as Jack and Jane. It was super steamy and surprisingly emotional. It makes me want to read all about Arden's personal struggle and their complicated love story.

CTRL + ALT + BANG By J.D. Hollyfield is the beginning of a new story. And it's so good!I totally want to read the full story. Melanie is set up on a dating site by her friends after dumping her cheating ex. She has no idea the sweet and nice guy she is chatting with is Lucas, the cocky ahole she cannot stand! Lucas is arrogant and oh so delicious and I loved to see him falling for Melanie. This girl is pure fire. The banter and chemistry is on point! The enemies to lovers hotness was irresistible.

YOU WALKED IN By Tia Louise is just the beginning of Scout and Daisy! It was so swoony and sweet. I cannot wait to read the whole story. I know it will be angsty and heartbreaking. BRIDGE OF LOVE By Nana Malone , the beginning of the story from London Lords is one of my most anticipated romance from the series. Bridge and Emma will be angst central and I am dying to read more.

This anthology also features:

*FLIRTING WITH A GOOD NIGHT By Willow Winters (steamy and sweet small town second chance story of Sharon and Cade)

*CHRISTMAS AT THE WHITE HOUSE By KA Linde ( Holiday novella about Brady and Liz)

*THE SCENE By Marni Mann

*FIRST DANCE By Amelia Wilde (Dayton and Summer's marriage from Before You Were Mine)

*INEVITABLE by Jenna Hartley (father's best friend romance)

*ONCE UPON A SNOWSTORM By Jennifer Bene ( sweet second chance romance)

*DELICIOUS By Dylan Allen (sexy and emotional love story)

*I’M CALLING DIBS By Harloe Rae (teaser story from an upcoming series)

I Have Lived and I Have Loved is a very solid anthology. A number of the stories do connect to other stories (some past, some upcoming) by their respective authors, but none of those need to be read prior to diving in here. That said, readers who are new to some of the connecting books/series/worlds may find themselves wanting to explore further afterwards, so have those debit cards and gift cards handy. ;)

If you're like me, when you're considering an anthology you look for a listing of the TOC and any info on series that might relate, hoping to get another glimpse of your favorite characters. As mentioned above, a number of the stories within I Have Lived and I Have Loved, do have some connection to other works. Since the blurb doesn't contain a listing of the stories inside, I thought I'd include that, with notes I made as I read, about past or upcoming connections.

Anthology includes (in order of appearance):
Flirting with a Good Night - Willow Winters (1)
Christmas at the White House (Record #5.5; Brady & Liz #3.5) - K.A. Linde
Inked Fantasy (Montgomery Inked: Boulder short) - Carrie Ann Ryan
The Inevitable - Nikki Ash (2)
The Scene - Marni Mann (3)
Baby It's Cold Outside (Imperfect Match World short) - Melanie Harlow & Corinne Michaels
You Walked In - Tia Louise (4)
The Devil's Chessboard (Endgame/King of Shadows crossover) - Skye Warren & Amelia Wilde
Bridge of Love (London Lords World short) - Nana Malone
First Dance (Wounded Hearts #1.5) - Amelia Wilde
Shaken - Livia Grant
Inevitable (Love in LA World short) - Jenna Hartley (5)
White Ribbon - Aleatha Romig (6)
Once Upon a Snowstorm - Jennifer Bene
Delicious - Dylan Allen
I'm Calling Dibs - Harloe Rae
Ctrl+Alt+Bang - J.D. Hollyfield (7)

(1) Set in the same small town world as Tequila Rose, coming February 23, 2021.
(2) Features Sierra and Kolton whose HEA was originally seen through the eyes of Keegan and Blakely of Fool Me Once. In The Inevitable you'll see it firsthand.
(3) Connects to Signed (The Agency #1)
(4) Intro Story. Their full length romance, Twist of Fate, is coming February 15, 2021.
(5) Connects to Unexpected (Love in LA #2), though you do not need to read Unexpected first.
(6) Intro Story. Their full length romance, Red Sin, is coming October 19, 2021.
(7) This is not the full story. The full length novel of Ctrl+Alt+Bang is coming in 2021.

A beautiful collection of short stories by fabulous writers that let the reader know there are so many ways to love and be loved. From long term crushes becoming soulmates within shorts by Willow Winters and Jennifer Bane, to what really can go on in the Oval office from K.A. Linde there is so much in this book it is hard to pick my favorites. There are blind dates from Carrie Ann Ryan and dream dates from Marni Mann. Corinne Michael and Melanie Harlow wrap their tale around a stuck Christmas Tree and Livia Grant will keep you on the edge of your seat with embezzlement and a broken elevator. Nikki Ash will have not one but two brothers getting their HEA and Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde wil have a chess game filled with danger and romance. Snow plays a major factor in Jennifer Bene and Aleatha Romig's stories and Dylan Allen gives us a sexy new neighbor. Tia Louise makes sure a homecoming ends up bringing happiness to a bright future and Harloe Rae throws in a breakup to win all breakups - but ends in a HEA. J.D. Hollyfield brings a new twist on having friends make up a fake profile and Nana Malone reminds us that not all bad things come from falling for your best mate's sister while Jenna Hartley throws in a taboo relationship. This is a wonderful collection for a great cause. These little snippets have give the reader new authors to read and more than enough sighs of happiness.

This is a really wonderful collection of short stories that have been peened by some of todays top authors in support of the Live A Thousand Lives charity. While the stories themselves may be short, the feels are huge. This collection is a great way to treat yourself while showing your support to a great cause that as readers we can all feel a strong connection to. I am posting a candid review of my own volition. While I feel that the whole collection is well worth reading I particularly enjoyed:

Flirting With A Good Time by Willow Winters: This engaging short introduces you to Cade and Sharon. You only get a few chapters but these two seriously will hit you right in the feels. I'm not going to lie, there is not enough her to satisfy but it is more than enough to have you needing and craving more. Sweet, poignant and emotional.

Shaken by Livia Grant: This short brought some humor and cuteness to the table. Lanie and Jacob engage in lots of witty banter and generate lots of sparks when fate steps in to bring these two together. Very fun and hot.

The Inevitable by Nikki Ash: Sierra and Kolton's story is very emotionally intense and powerfully moving. Trust me when I say that the feels are plentiful as this couple struggles with what the heart wants, while your head is telling you something different. It is cute, sweet, fun and all about the feels.

While most of the short stories in this are 4 or 5 stars, I have to admit my favourites were Ctrl, Alt, Bang by JD Hollyfield, I'm Calling dibs by Harloe Rae and The Inevitable by Nikki Ash. This is a very well collated anthology. This is a wonderful collection of short stories by an impressive group of writers. Plus, it raises money for a great cause, the Live A Thousand Lives charity.
Ctrl Alt Bang by JD Hollyfield is kinda sketch, premise wise, but the banter between Melanie and Lukas (who met over a hookup up while also bumping into each other IRL) was god tier. I'm gonna need the full length version now please.
I'm Calling Dibs by Harloe Rae is a sweet one. Rayne is upset after finding out her long term boyfriend was cheating on her, but Seth swoops in and fairly sweeps her off her feet. And it was adorable.
The Inevitable by Nikki Ash.... All about forgetting and forgiving ones past. And pushing forward. Now I know I hold zero sway over upcoming releases but if full length versions of the highlighted stories found their way to me, I'd be a happy person.
I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

I Have Lived and I Have Loved is a wonderful collection of short stories put together for a charity anthology, it not only gives you the opportunity to support a worthy cause it also gives you some quick reads from some of our favourite authors.
At this time I have only read Baby It’s Cold Outside by Melanie Harlow and Corrine Michaels
This is a sweet story about two strangers who meet because of a Christmas tree and as you would expect from these two authors it has the perfect mix of love and humour. It’s a fun, entertaining, light hearted read that will appeal to all lovers of the holiday season.
All the profits from this anthology are going to the Live A Thousand Lives Charity which is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to making audiobooks more accessible to individuals with low to no mobility. Live A Thousand Lives provides audio players preloaded with classic stories to individuals in hospitals, care homes and nursing facilities so with that in mind I urge you to one click and support this great cause. I was lucky enough to get an early addition but I have still preordered my copy.
