Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who called a corrupt kingdom home sweet home.

Protected and sheltered from the worst the world had to offer, she fell in love with the crumbling city that burned and blazed around her. Every dirty corner, every scary shadow, found a place within her heart. So did a man who was violent and dangerous, just like the streets she claimed as her own.

He was all business and brutality, except when it came to her. With her, he was calm, caring, and heartbreakingly patient.

He warned her over and over that he wasn't the man for her, but she refused to listen. She never expected either the streets or their enforcer to hurt her, since she'd given her heart so completely to both.

She should have known the streets in the Point were always going to be savage, and so was the man committed to keeping control of them in the hands of criminals and bloody kingpins.

Blindsided by a betrayal which cut so deeply she was sure the wounds would never heal, the princess fled the home she loved and the man who broke her heart. Throwing away her rusted, twisted crown was supposed to help her forget. All it did was make her long for everything she left behind. She told herself she would never go back, but in this tormented kingdom, family is everything. Eventually, she has no choice but to return.

While she was gone, the people who loved her worked hard to make the city safe, and the man who destroyed her sank deeper into the darkness. Going back shouldn't feel like surrender... but it does. As this pretty princess hovers on the edge of the unknown, the past attacks with a vengeance. It's a good reminder that puppy love eventually grows up and turns into something with sharp teeth and one hell of a bite.

She never asked for the keys to the kingdom. She'd much rather go out and build her own.

This was the final book in The Breaking Point series... of course author’s always save the best for last!!! Booker was introduced in the first series about the Point, and he had a sixteen year old girl who was totally in love with him... even worse...it was his boss’s step-sister... in other words; a no fly zone!!! Booker was a bad ass; but he did have morals, so he never touched her!

Fast forward to many years later and we end up with a story about the girl who is all grown up, and my favourite character of all; Booker!
I did enjoy this book, although I was a little disappointed in how my badass Booker was portrayed... I felt he didn’t come across as bad ass enough. I wanted him to be unstoppable... and I wanted him to back down for NO ONE!!! He did get redeemed later on in the story but I just wanted more when it came to him!

All in all though, I loved this series and I am sad to see it end. I’m hopeful that there might be a spinoff by what happened in the end... I will be watching what the author comes up with next!!!

I was anxiously awaiting Karsen and Booker since they featured in Race’s story. I thoroughly enjoyed it not only for what it was, but for what it wasn’t. Not only was the story very true to the main characters, flaws and all, but it also showed a different dynamic to Race and Brysen. It wasn’t a flattering view. It straight up shows the ugly. However, it humanized them and although Race has always been my least favorite of that story line, it made him all the more real to me.

Karsen and Booker were a great match. I loved their chemistry and exchanges. I wasn’t a big fan of what made them estranged but I understand it had to happen. They both experienced growth but I felt that Karsen gave in too easily. I would’ve liked to see not only Booker grovel but those who sought to manipulate her. Booker wasn’t as intense as I expected but I got the impression that he would grow to be so.

The writing was wonderful as always. The pacing, with the exception of the resolution was solid. The imagery and prose was on point.

Safety: There is no cheating. However, before they are together but after they are interested in one another there are others. No rape or abuse.

"Letting Karsen into my life was the first time some of the shadows that owned me had been chased away."

Respect was an okay read for me. There was nothing that really stood out or made this story exceptional in my opinion. I did love Jay's writing style, it was really easy to read and it had a great flow. The story just felt a bit unfinished. The majority of the story was spend on the road to home, and it was okay at the start but it got a bit monotone after a while. I even started skipping sex scenes, because I wanted to get back to the story. I did love Karsen and Booker together. I think they were a great match who balanced each other out. There was definitely character development, but not enough to satisfy me completely. There was some action and suspense, however most of it happened in the last quarter of the story. Most of the exciting things happened in the last quarter, which felt a bit rushed and forced. Like I said, Respect was an okay read that just didn't intrigue me completely.

Light is easy to love. Show me your darkness.
~ R. Queen

I love books bathed in darkness with a sliver of light, as they dig deeply into the depths of hell but somehow find a bit of heaven. Jay Crownover is a mix master of black, shadowy stories that still shine like gold. This master storyteller makes you love the 'baddest' of bad boys in her powerful series called The Point and The Breaking Point where the men who sway from criminals to heroes, the boyfriends that mothers would hide from if you brought them home, the boys you should probably run from too. But you can't help but adore these saints and sinners that snag your heart.

Respect is the story of a broken-hearted but brave princess who has to flee the corrupt kingdom because she thinks the big, broken and bold prince doesn’t see her beyond a young friend. Oh how wrong this heroine is; the powerful prince sees her but does not want to corrupt her. Neither realize the power of fate. Fate has other plans and is the real ruler of this kingdom.

Time was supposed to heal all wounds, but mine felt like it was still wide open and bleeding all over the place.

Scorching, spine-tingling, and oh-so strong, Respect is the perfect fusion of light and dark, heaven and hell, and sin and salvation. Gritty with bits of glam. Dark with bits of light. Dangerous and daring. Respect is a HEADY HIGH! I was ADDICTED to Karsen and Bookers’ journey that is as emotional as it is explosive. I LOVED being back at the Point! I can’t help but become fully vested in these characters—the baddest and bravest boys with the biggest hearts and the bold heroines who stand beside them. From Bax to Booker and Dovie to Karsen, I’ve fallen for every one of the heroes and anti-heroes of the Point.

”Don’t regret this later, Karsen. If you do, it might kill me.”

Fire-hot, formidable, and full of feels, Respect is a fresh spin on romance. Jay Crownover always brings a uniqueness to her words that I’ve called ‘Crownover Crack’ since meeting Rule years ago. From Better When He’s Bad to Respect, The Point and The Breaking Point series are perfectly imperfect stories that slay with strength and soul. Respect is the perfect farewell. A HIGH-OCTANE, HEART-POUNDING ROMANCE that delivers all the way.

”The only person whose touch I ever needed was yours.”

What a powerful finish to a powerful and poignant series! I so don't want this series to be over. Jay Crownover rocked all of these brilliant bad boy books out of the park! The addicting anti-heroes—villains fused with victors—of the Point will mark your soul, grab your heart, and stay with you forever. Bad has never been so good!!!

It was a place that was so bad, so dark, so lost in crime and violence it didn't have a name...we simply called it the Point. It was the ending point, the breaking point, the point of no return...it was simply a place where only the strong survived and anyone else was bound to die trying.

“Other people see the Point as this awful place full of crime and terrible people. To me, it was always home. It’s where I felt the safest and most loved.”

I’m just feeling all kinds of emotions right now. It’s always such a bittersweet feeling when one of your favorite series comes to an end—it’s so exciting to finally see where everyone’s at at this point, but it also hurts my heart something fierce to say goodbye. I’ve loved this group of intense and possessive criminals, and strong, yet softhearted women ever since Jay released Better When He’s Bad. Now, after years of anticipating for more of this badass crew, we’ve ultimately reached the end of the road. And with the way this book ended—having everyone’s loose ends tied up—I just wanted to breakdown and cry.

Jay Crownover definitely saved the best for last, and delivered one of the most epic and unforgettable finales of all time. I feel like I’ve been waiting for Booker and Karsen’s story for forever—this book has been brewing since the Welcome to the Point series—and now that it’s here, all I can say is that... it’s absolutely worth every single second of the wait.

I worked so hard to be bulletproof, but none of my defenses were ever good enough with her. She slipped through all the barriers without even trying.

Noah Booker stole and melted my heart completely. I just have a soft spot for huge, cold-hearted men who look like nothing and no one can topple them over, but deep inside, they have a heart—just like anyone else—waiting to be revived and taken care of the way it’s supposed to be. Booker crippled me—I felt every single ounce of pain, remorse and guilt he felt when he thought he was only trying his best to do what’s right. When he ripped both his and Karsen’s hearts out, I felt it down to the pit of my stomach. But truthfully, if you’ve known this man and his journey throughout the entire series, the more you’ll just grow to love him. Because when it comes to Karsen Carter, you’ll see how different he is.

She might be the princess of the Point, but she was the Queen, the undeniable ruler, of my crooked and shady heart.

Karsen Carter might’ve been younger in age, but she’s got an old and beautiful soul. She’s just like this beacon shining in a pitch dark sky. She became the light in Booker’s world of darkness. The one who chased away the demons that always lurked in the depths of his soul. She’s this sweet girl, with a heart full of love, who became his source of hope. I adored Karsen—not only when it came to Booker, but also when it came to the town she considered her home. Most people would probably be desperate to flee the dark and dangerous streets of the Point, but this girl? She embraced it. It’s in her blood. And it highlighted just how brave and fierce she truly is.

“Turnabout is only fair, Karsen. I get to claim you as mine. If anyone puts their hands on you, I won’t be jealous, I’ll be lethal. Keep that in mind.”

I loved Booker and Karsen’s story with every fiber of my being. Among all the couples in the series, I think they’re the truest, rawest and grittiest ones to represent the Point—broken, damaged, and isn’t afraid to get blood on their hands; but at the same time, strong-willed, loyal to a fault, and would go to great lengths just to protect the people they love—the people who matter the most.

Even though this series has already come to a close, it’s one that I’ll surely crack open and keep revisiting in the future. It’s one that has found its own special nook in my heart. Every book will just take you on a rollercoaster ride, give you an adrenaline rush like no other, and have your palms sweating the more the plot unravels. And don’t even get me started with the characters—you’ll get attached and hooked onto them right off the bat. You’ll just continuously want to know more about them even long after it’s all over.

If you love a romantic suspense that’s packed with action and mind-blowing twists and turns, and with a couple you’ll root for until the very end, you need to read this. It’s certainly one of Jay Crownover’s most brilliant works to date.

Unfortunately I just couldn‘t quite get into this one. First the premise of the book is already a little hard for me, I don‘t like to read about this kind of betrayal.
And second I had a big problem with how the heroine was all bark and no bite. There were a lot of passages were she is described as a fighter and badass and whatever and where threats were thrown around, but she did basically nothing at all. Throughout the whole book. And since I loved Key from book one, a badass who earned her place, this was kinda disappointing to me.

But all in all a nice. Just were expecting a little more.

I devoured this book.

Although I’m actually not surprised that I did. I’ve been wanting Karsen and Booker’s story ever since seeing them in Better When He’s Bold and after months and months (technically years) of waiting, Jay gave us their story and did it perfectly. It had redemption, and heartache, and action, and romance, and you'll be surprised by all that happens in this book and with these characters. If you've loved this world and have been waiting forever for this book, you truly will not be disappointed with what Jay delivers here.

Finally Booker and Karsen's story! I have been waiting for this for so long! Yes, there is an age difference and she was young in the beginning of the series, but I always thought it was handled very well. And I think the author did a good job of balancing all the factors to make their story work.

Everyone thought Karsen just had a crush on the big, bad enforcer, Booker. They wrote it off as puppy love and her family was determined to make her leave the Point and go to college and find something more for herself. But in order to get her to leave, something drastic was necessary. And it sent them both into years of pain, loss, anger, and resentment.

Years later, it is time for her to figure out what she is going to do with her life. And she has to figure out what to do once and for all about Booker. But there is also danger lurking in the background. Someone is trying to stop her from returning home. And someone is out to get either her or him.

Can Booker keep them safe long enough to get her home and then deal with the consequences of their actions? And is there any way that he can win the trust and heart back of the Princess of the Point and actually have a chance at keeping her?

I just love Booker. This big, burly, broken, deadly, and and dangerous man also has a caring and giving heart. He is protective, strong, and loyal. He lives on the dark side and does dirty deeds for Nassir and Race. But he is also vulnerable when it comes to Karsen. She always saw him as man instead of monster. She was his light, his hope, and the person that mattered the most to him. But she was always off limits due to circumstances. And despite his hard-edged persona, he was also self sacrificing and did not feel worthy of something good.

Karsen might be younger than the rest of them, but she is tenacious, brave, smart, and fearless. Those around her always wanted to protect her or questioned her choices. She just wanted to be taken seriously. She always hoped that one day Booker would reciprocate her feelings, but she left with a broken heart. After being away she still misses her family and city, even if she is also wary of seeing him again.

So it is now time to deal with the past, face their demons, and make a stand for what they want. It is time to really open up and share the things that have shaped them or caused pain. They also have to realize that there are people that have their back and learn to accept help sometimes. But this is the Point and they are also surrounded by any number of people that could want to do them harm.

This is the finale of this series and I loved getting to see more with all of the couples and even some cameos. These characters have all been through so much to survive and thrive in this dangerous and unpredictable environment. They are a diverse and dynamic group that live on the edge, but have their own niche. They have flaws and make mistakes, but they also love fiercely and protect those that they care about even if it is not always the right way to go about it.

There is mystery, tension, danger, and suspense. There are possible multiple antagonists. It is a puzzle they have to figure out. It is not only an actual journey for them to a destination, but also one of personal growth and of trying to see if they can mend their broken relationship.

This is ultimately about respect, purpose, love, and paying it forward. These two are survivors and fighters. They had a connection and feelings that were so embedded in them that could not be broken by time, distance, or even pain. But they will have to fight for acceptance and a chance. Things in their lives will never be black and white, but they can hope with the support from those that respect them that they can all live fully and happily in their spectrum of gray and find their own purpose.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Caratteristiche: romantico, emozionante, sensuale, ambientazione dark
Stile narrativo: scorrevole

I loved this one ❤

First Impressions
Respect is the finale in the "Breaking Point" series. This is where we get the story featuring the story with Karsen and Booker. I didn't have to wait on this book like others had to as I have yet to read "Better When He's Bold" but you can bet that is next on my list to read soon. I really wanted Booker's story though as I saw his connections to Naasir. I was beyond impressed with this one. If you love a more gritty contemporary, the look no further than this one. I do think you could read this as a standalone if you wanted to. Its written in a way where its definitely compatible in that way. I feel so deeply for these two and their forbidden love story....

First Line
Finally! It felt like I'd been waiting forever for my eighteenth birthday.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Booker
The Heroine: Karsen

Respect begins with our heroine fighting for the man she has been in love with but been waiting for her to mature and be of the legal age as he is a bit older than she is. But on her birthday she learns a painful lesson and her heart is bitterly broken and she leaves the point, the only place she has known as home and leaves for college in Colorado. But now she has graduated and is preparing to go home for her sister's wedding. What she doesn't expect is to have a stalker or to have the man she has loved and never stopped loving to come back into her life seeking redemption. Booker had no choice but to hurt Karsen, but now he is determined to win her no matter how forbidden or what the consequences may be...

What I Loved
So many aspects to this book just had me all over the place with this one. I had such a love for both characters. I really fell hard for Karsen's character. She is a mix of tough and sweet. She can handle herself on the streets, having grown up on the streets, but she has a sense of innocence and love to her character that I instantly gravitated towards. This is what Crownover is really talented at, in writing characters that are so loveable. Then we have Booker, who has had a rough life. He is tormented by his time in juvie and suffers aspects of PTSD still from it. Your heart breaks for these two. Even in the prologue, you just know that there is more going on than meets the eye but its painful to see what it does to their relationship. But when Booker fights for Karsen, its so deeply resonating and emotionally just connects with you because you see his struggle and pain but willing to RISK it all for her and for her to know the truth about what really happened.

What I Struggled With
Honest there wasn't anything specific I could even pinpoint that I struggled with. I loved the epilogue but I kinda want to know what happens with the kids----it kinda left us hanging. haha But if its in her other books---let me know!

Narration
HAUNTINGLY CAPTIVATING! That is the best words to describe how well this narration done. I just didn't want to put this audiobook down at ALL. I had such a blast with the blend of these narrators and how easily they pull you into these characters and make them just come alive.

Overall View
Respect is the finale in the Breaking Point and it packs a punch of resilience, healing, and connection and a beautiful heart of a story!

Favorite Quote(s)
I was powerless where she was concerned, and for the first time in my life, I was okay with that.”

Other people see the Point as this awful place full of crime and terrible people. To me, it was always home. It’s where I felt the safest and most loved.

She might be the princess of the Point, but she was the Queen, the undeniable ruler, of my crooked and shady heart.

I feel like I have been waiting a lifetime for this book! Ever since reading Better When He's Bold, I have been waiting for Booker and Karsen's story. If you know anything bout Jay's books they are never for the light hearted and they aren't for the weak. The stories of the men and women of The Point have a level depravity to them but the one thing that they have in spades is loyalty, family and love.

When Booker and Karsen first meet she's obviously off limits. She's underage and she's also the Boss's girlfriends sister. Which makes her even more off limits. In fact they went to great lengths to make sure that Booker and Karsen would never happen. Jay sets this book four years after Karsen's eighteenth birthday, she's all grown up and graduating from college. She has to return to the place that she loves more then anything for her sisters wedding. But she's dreading it for one reason, and that reason has just showed up at her front door.... But when odd things start to happen, Booker and Karsen realize that they are in a race against the clock. What type of clock they are unsure, and what type of threat remains to be seen....

Karsen was always a tough young girl, but she's grown into a fierce, but lost woman. Leaving home was never part of the plan. On her eighteenth birthday she expected to ride off into the sunset with the man she'd fallen in love with. Finally of legal age, she was ready for everything this life was going to bring her. But fate had other plans. Plans that drove her from the happy home she'd created with her sister and with Race. Karen seemed so lost when this story first started. I feared that the fierce girl with all that fire and defiance was really snuffed out by the past and the hurt inflicted on her. But it didn't take long for the flames to be stoked and for Karsen to blossom back into a formidable woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to get it. The Point isn't a place for the weak and it doesn't take long for Karsen's hard exterior to be rebuilt by the betrayal of those around her.

Booker is no stranger to loss, death and violence. He lives and breaths it on a daily basis. Comes with the line of work. That doesn't mean he doesn't have regrets and the one that he harbors the most is hurting someone he cared for. He's such a big force. I always loved Booker in the previous books, but this time being able to get inside his head and really see his character was not only haunting, but beautiful in a sense. Underneath that big burly and rough exterior lies a man that would do anything to protect someone he loves, even if it's a fight till death....

This story packed a serious punch. But knowing what I know about these awesome Jay Crownover books, is that even in the face of death and disparity, rises a love like no other. One that's fierce and willing to take on the hounds of hell, to come out on the other side. Maybe a little scared and beaten but always standing on its feet. Karsen and Booker's story was everything I hoped and imagined it would be. Jay never disappoints to deliver a story that has passion, intrigue and danger! I loved getting to see all the characters of The Point series and I'm sad to see this be the end for them. Its a fabulous series, one that I will revisit again and again!

I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Blog tour on 15/8.

One of my most favorite and anticipated couple's of the Point series finally got their story! I loved Booker and Karsen and how they tried to fight for their attraction, even loving each other despite the cruel and hard world of the Point.

The plot grips you from the start and quickly you have a scorching relationship with truths revealed and enemies lurking in the corner.

Jay Crowover deliver an amazing ending to this series, and I couldn't be happier!

Respect by Jay Crownover is a sexy bold suspenseful romance that was brimming with so much intensity and yet had that raw emotional punch of love, yearning, and forgiveness that keeps readers like myself addicted. Karsen and Booker’s story was one that instantly demanded your attention right off the opening pages. It consumed you as you can’t help but be transfixed with their flawed, broken relationship. But most importantly, it was real. Honest. And I applaud Jay Crownover for showcasing that. Not every relationship is a cookie cutter kind and the best kind of love stories are the ones worth fighting for. The ones that gives you hope. And for Crownover to wrap this series up, I want to thank her for giving us these flawed characters who took us on one hell of a roller coaster ride that left us breathless and wanting more. Trust me when I tell you that Booker and Karsen is definitely the kind of story that was unforgettable.

★★ 4.5 stars! ★★

It’s been a long time coming for Booker and Karsen’s story, but it is finally here–and OMG it was well worth the wait! Jay Crownover does not disappoint and brings every bit of the delectable tension, explosive chemistry, and life-endangering drama you would expect from the characters of The Point. Long story short, it was SO worth the wait!

Karsen has always been the ‘little sister’ of the series, delegated to off-limits status where Booker is concerned. After having her heart broken at 18 and running away to college, she thought the time away would diminish her love for Booker, who she has always loved from afar. What she discovered is that once you grow up in a place like The Point, there’s no such thing as a normal college experience. She’s all grown up now, but Karsen is aimless and something important is missing from her life.

Enter Booker, the enforcer and henchman of the rulers of The Point. He’s done some very bad things in his life, but loving and protecting Karsen wasn’t one of them. After four long years, he’s finally going to reclaim what’s his. Booker knows that it won’t be easy, but fighting for Karsen is exactly what he’s willing to do, even if it costs him his life or his freedom.

I’ve been chomping at the bit to get my hands on this story! Karsen and Booker were THE COUPLE I couldn’t wait to see come together, but knowing that it is the final book of the series made it slightly bittersweet. However, I would change nothing about this story. From start to finish, it kept me on the edge of my seat, it broke my heart by revealing details of Booker’s past, it reinforced what I already knew about Karsen’s goodness and light, and it kept me reading until the wee hours of the morning.

I love the ‘dark and dirty’ side of Jay’s writing and this series is unforgettable. I highly recommend it if you like gritty, twisty, and suspenseful stories about fighting for struggling underdogs, reclaiming a place in the world through dubious means, and dangerous men brought to their knees by the women they love.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Honor (The Breaking Point, #1)
Dignity (The Breaking Point #2)

This is Karsen and Booker’s story. Karsen was in love with Booker but he broke not only her heart but her. She fled and has stayed away for years. Now that she is back she comes face to face with Booker. Can she see the differences within him? Will she be able to forgive him for the past? When danger hovers will it take everything away or will Booker make sure that she stays safe? Will they be able to get over the pain of the past in order to move on with a future? Or is this the beginning of the end?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

2,5 No, non ci siamo. Bocciato!!

There is a reason Jay Crownover is one of my most favorite go to authors!!!
I love how she brings real types of people to her fictional character. We get all the feels and HEA's we want in a book with the grit and raw attitude of real life. She says it like it is but doesn't take away the hope and the notion that everyone wants love.
Being that this is the end to the Point crew (I'm really sad about that), I really enjoyed how Crownover tied up all the stories of all the characters. They have been some of my most favorite characters in all the books I've read.
I felt so nostalgic in reading this final instalment. It gave me all the feels without making it too "puppies and rainbows."
Booker and Karsen's story was filled with so much growth and understanding. While it wasn't necessarily a coming of age story, it was a life rebirth of sorts. The chemistry between the two of them was crazy good and hot. Booker's nickname for Karsen in any other book or set of characters would have bothered me but I absolutely swooned when he called her by it.
This series is so worthwhile and much more than a hot book boyfriend.

Respect is a little bittersweet for me as I have been DYING for Karsen and Booker's story since we met then in Better When He's Bold. Omg did I want their story and that need and want just got more intense as the storylines progressed from Honor to Dignity and now Respect. Respect was absolutely brilliant and everything I loved about a Jay Crownover book and yet I am so sad that it is over. This series is just one of those things that literally came out of nowhere. I wasn't expecting it yet I know I am better off having read it.

There really is no way to read this story if you haven't read the earlier books. Karsen and Booker were honestly astounding. It was meticulously written as the culmination of a six book series (Yes I count Bad, Bold and Brave) where all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed. This story continued the storylines from the previous books and we find out why exactly things turned out how they did. I seriously am so in love with Karsen and her light, strength, determination and all around badassery. She was the perfect match to Booker and his dark and broody persona. I loved this couple so hard and was so looking forward to seeing their eventual explosion!!

My favorite takeaway from this story was the fact that Booker and Karsen fought for their love and for each other like the bosses they were. More importantly, it was a fight like how all fights in the Point are - a no holds barred, take no prisoners kinda battle where eventually love and light always shine through. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

I've been looking forward to this book for awhile. I've been dying to read about Karsen and Booker since they were introduced together. Imagine my surprise when I got to the end of the book and Jay mentioned she hadn't planned on putting them together or writing a book about them. Basically because of the age difference when they met. I'm glad she did, though. She couldn't tease us with them and not deliver (even if she didn't mean to). :)

I did enjoy the book but it felt tainted by the old "he did me wrong, so I'm going to screw every man I can to punish him" trope. Can't we think of something different? Like the heroine having a bit more respect for herself than to throw her self-respect away to punish a man? Really? Anyway, that brought it down a star for me. I was hoping Jay wouldn't go that route but she did. What makes it even worse is that

It was sweet to see how much they loved each other and were willing to fight for each other. Booker had a crappy life and suffered greatly. I'm glad he finally got his HEA with Booker. The epilogue was adorable with but has me wanting to know if we get a book with what Karsen does to help Campbell and his little family!!! Come on, Jay!

Anyway, nice close out to this series of anti-heroes. It wasn't my favorite series of hers but I was entertained by it.

"I knelt at her knees knowing I would follow her anywhere she wanted to lead me. I would battle every single dragon she asked me to slay. I wasn’t much of a white knight; my armor was beyond rusted and ruined. However, I knew there was no one who would give as much, or go to the lengths I would go, in order to keep her safe. She might be the princess of the Point, but she was the Queen, the undeniable ruler, of my crooked and shady heart."

I feel like I’ve been waiting for Booker and Karsen’s story forever. I think I went into this with my expectations set too high. Because of that, I’m a little disappointed. I had absolutely NO issues with the age difference. Maybe Jay thought she’d turn readers off if she started their love story when Karsen was 18?? I don’t know. But I hated what Booker did to Karsen to push her away. There was more to the story, he didn’t have a choice, blah blah blah. I didn’t like it. So Karsen runs off for 4 years to attend college. THEN Booker enters the picture!
No. No. No. And NO.

The epilogue was fantastic. I wish it were longer.

I feel like I waited for this book forever. It is bittersweet always when there is an ending of a series.
And every time when I saw an "old" character appear I was so excited, especially Bax, he is still one of my favorites ever and certainly favorite character by Jay.

I'm saying a goodbye to the Point and all of the amazing characters in it. This was very special place. Dark, raw, cruel. I leave you all with the happy end you deserve.

Thank you!
