Turns out I’ve got a low tolerance for being ignored.

It was Cam who offered occasional dates.

It was Cam who suggested we be exclusive “bed” buddies.

It was Cam who slowly began to disappear from my life, and I’m tired of feeling like nothing more than a warm body.

I deserve better.

When I find myself spending more time with my friends, it’s Sebastian who’s here for me when I need him most. There's always been that "something" between us, but with his string of girls and Cameron in the way, I never really entertained the idea.

Enter one ex-girlfriend and another addition to my list of bullies.

One betrayal changes everything. I'm not settling anymore. I'm not doing what's best for everyone else this time. No, this time I'm doing what's best for me.

I'm tired of standing under this umbrella alone.

This is the SECOND EDITION. Reworked and revised.

Not all plot twists are created equal.

Some plot twists are just dumb plot contrivances disguising as plot twists.

**SPOILERS AHEAD**

If you've read the first book, then you'd know about Cameron and Olivia. Cameron isn't a perfect hero. He's the typical NA hero but he was written in a such a way that you believe his love for the heroine.

They have their HEA, and then boom! An ex of Cameron enters the picture.

Now, I wasn't worried. Ex-drama can be good when done right. Unfortunately, the ex drama in this book, like so many other dumb things in this book, was insipid and lacking depth.

I won't go into details but Alison, the ex, made Cruella de Vil look like Jesus incarnate. Alison is nothing but walking, talking caricature of a villain.

Which leads us to how thoroughly the author butchered Cameron's character in this book. It's a bloody character assassination, and poor Cameron doesn't even know what hit him.

This character went from the jerk who secretly pined for the heroine, looked after the heroine without her knowledge, struggled and worked towards winning the heroine's affection in the first book, to being a first class d-bag in the second book. ALL WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION!!

Oh wait. Let me rephrase that because that's totally wrong. There was indeed an explanation for Cameron's sudden 180.

Football.

Yup. You read that right. Football. Please don't even ask me to elaborate because I can't.

Has Cameron taken too many footballs to the head therefore changing his personality? Was his body taken over by aliens? Did he suffer from temporary amnesia? Was Olivia unknowingly transported to another dimension where D-Bag Cameron resides?

The author didn't really offer a feasible or believable explanation as to why he changed. Why? They were loved up and committed and in the next page, literally the next page, he suddenly turns into a douche. Just like that.

And the worst part? There was no effort to redeem the character. He was just written off as someone who didn't really care about the heroine contradicting all his actions in the first book.

So the book ended with the heroine with another guy: her friend Bash, *vomits at the insipid name because duh, he's the real hero after all. And this happened not in the middle or maybe 30% into the book. All this--Bash being the hero--happened around 80% to 90% of the book. I shit you not.

So the Bash and Olivia rode off into the sunset and lived happily ever after...or at least until some other guy comes into the picture that is.

Don't read if you don't want spoilers.

I am honestly not sure about how I feel about this book. I read it pretty quickly. Not sure if it's because it's a quick read or because I just went through it that fast.
I didn't like how it ended. I feel like there was no real character development. Cam's story could have rounded out a little more. I don't see how he could just fall out of love with her. He was pretty intense in the first book. That drastic of a character change is only substantial for psychopaths. There should have been more there.
Sebastian was the only one that had consistency. While I feel Olivia was justified in her actions, I think she could have questioned things a little more. Maybe made a little bit of an effort in her relationship with Cam instead of blaming it all on him. If the book was flushed out a little more it would have been an awesome read. I don't know if I am upset that Olivia and Cam are not together or if I just don't like the change in Cam. He understood his faults, but if it were a little more developed, it would have made more sense. I think Anne Mercier wanted to give a shock value. And she did. I just feel like it would have been better a little more flushed out. It feels like it was done quickly to meet a deadline, which sucks, because it had so much potential. In some ways I hope there is a 3rd book so we can see more development. It seemed unfinished for me. Cam HAS to redeem himself.

Review by Jen Skewes

I could not wait for this book. I fell in love with Cam and Olivia in the first book and Ms. Mercier left us hanging in a big way. I needed to see what would happen between these two. I was a bit nervous the week leading up to the release of this book. I read the author’s posts and wondered what could she possibly do that will have my stomach in knots. So I came up with all of these scenarios in my head trying to figure it out. Was I right? Well let’s just say that not one of them was correct and I had every reason to be worried about this book

I don’t want to give too much away because saying too much will completely spoil this book. This picks up exactly where book one ended. Cam’s crazy ex Alison is back in town and she has every intention of making life hell for Olivia. How far will this girl go? Too far. Trust me she is not a nice person and she really does make things very difficult for Olivia. But that is not the only issue in Olivia’s life. Between school, a crazy ex, and Cam’s football schedule, things become a little rocky for the two of them and Olivia finds herself leaning on her two best friends to cope. Will Cam and Olivia be able to get through the struggles or will it ruin them?

This book was certainly intense and at times yes I did have knots in my stomach. And there is a plot twist that you do not see coming. I have to say that I really did enjoy this book for one or two reasons and it is specifically because of the end. After reading this book and thinking about it the entire next day I realized that while I was happy with the ending there was one thing that did bother me and that was the actions of a particular character that I just did not agree with. I felt like it was so out of line from who this character was. For me it was a little disappointing to see the change in him His actions and words just confused me and angered me at the same time. With that being said Anne Mercier is a fantastic writer and even the parts that I had issues with were well written. They obviously made me feel something towards the characters.

Again I enjoyed the way it turned out it was a lot of the in between that I had some issues with. There was certainly enough angst and drama to keep your heart racing. And Ms. Mercier delivered a wonderful happy ending that I loved. I look forward to reading more about these characters.

Really weird ending!
What was the point of the struggles if she ends with someone else towards the end.
In some ways I can understand this as Cam does certain things to sort the ex out BUT I felt all that battle and ...... I kept expecting him to explain his actions and get her back but no... the other guy.

I did wonder whether in Cam's book (Book 5)we will get an explanation of his actions and that will make it okay but I am not sure that can happen. It is possible he gave up his own happiness for her to live her life without all his issues from his past but it's a massive risk to write it like that as readers I think will feel disappointed and may give up after book 2.
As it stands from book 1 and 2 I am afraid only 1 star from me.

The Way with You is the second book in the Back to Me series by Anne Mercier. You really need to read the first book, The Way Back to Me before you read this one. In the first book we watched Olivia Brennan deal with the devastating loss and heart break of losing her boyfriend and closest friends in a horrible accident. Olivia was the only survivor in the crash that killed her four friends. We watched Olivia struggle to go on and move forward alone. Olivia is an incredibly strong woman who not only didn’t give up but she learned how to love again.
In The Way Back to Me we watched Olivia and Cam fall in love and overcome many obstacles to do so. Cam helped Liv learn to move forward without guilt and we loved him for it. Cam and Liv seemed very much in love and happy with each other.
In this book The Way with You things take a different turn. Olivia and Cam have even more obstacles to overcome if they want to be together. Unfortunately some obstacles are just too big for this couple. Cam is so focused on football that he doesn’t have any time for Liv. Cam never tries to make Olivia a priority which is deeply upsetting to her. Things really take a bad turn when Allison, Cam’s ex shows up wanting Cam back. Allison begins bullying and threatening Olivia so much that I was worried for her safety. Yet Cam does nothing, he doesn’t help Liv or support her when she needs him the most. When things get out of hand Olivia has to decide if things with Cam can even be saved.

“I’ve begun to wonder what I’m doing with a guy who calls me his girlfriend but doesn’t treat me like one.” -Olivia

Throughout everything that Olivia goes through Lex and Bash are by her side. These two prove what real friends are. I absolutely loved Bash from the start. I wanted Liv to see him as more than just a friend knowing he was the right one for her. What will happen if she does? I know most want Olivia and Cam together but not me. I think Bash has proven over and over again that he truly cares about her while Cam doesn’t.

“This is true love, the stuff that happily ever afters are made of.” -Alexa

I really liked this book and if it would have been a standalone I would have given it 5 stars. However I just don’t understand how we went from watching Olivia and Cam fall in love in the first book to watching him completely change in this book. It was like Cam was a completely different person from one book to the next and I didn’t like this Cam. Don’t get me wrong I’m very happy with the way this book ended I just don’t understand why it all happened the way it did.
I would really like to see Lex get her own book next. She is a fantastic character that I would like to see more of.
This book deals with many emotional situations, everything from death, bullying and depression that may affect some. I think Anne Mercier handled this all amazingly well. I felt everything Olivia went through. I wanted to crawl into this book to give Olivia a hug and to punch Cam in the face. It takes a good author to get these kind of reactions from her readers so I congratulate you Anne Mercier on doing so.

Wow, this book took a turn from the first one. I have to say after reading it completely, the author did the best thing ever. I could make this review about Olivia and Cam, but it was seriously about Olivia, her strong friendships and how much she has grown since book one. You definitely want to read book one to have a full understanding of what goes on in this one. There was a spicy little ending that leads into this one. Olivia and Cam seemed like the perfect couple in love. Someone from their past comes to purposely put a wedge between them. It doesn't help that Cam has a good chance of going pro in football. He is so busy and not giving Olivia the time of day. Olivia is being bullied and tells Cam. He doesn't quite get how bad it is and sits back and does nothing. Thankfully Olivia has Lexi and Sebastian. They have her back. Things just get worse and the only person that is constantly there for her is Sebatian. He is the hot tattooed guy she bumps into in the first book. They have become great friends and form a bond that teeters on friendship with lots of flirting on Sebatians part. At the beginning of the book I was so pro Cam and soon became so disappointed in his actions or lack there of. He really doesn't deserve a great girl like Olivia. The ending couldn't of made me any happier. I highly recommend this book.

4 stars - intense and emotional

What a rollercoaster of emotions for both the characters and us readers. Olivia had already been through so much losing her friends and being the sole survivor of that horrific accident and I started this book hoping that things were going to be easier for her and Cameron but they weren’t.

Olivia went through so much in this book. Anne did a great job describing the bullying and the emotions and how scared she was. I was left frightened for her and rightly so it would seem. Cameron was largely absent, focusing more on football and partying then Olivia who he never seemed to have time for. He provided her no support or understanding at the things she was experiencing and having come to like him in the first book, i really began to change my mind again.

I loved Sebastian - I did in the first book and i grew to love him more and more as this story went on. He looked out for Olivia, cared for her unconditionally and was the rock she needed when things were tough. The strength Olivia showed was amazing, coping with everything that was thrown at her with the unfailing support of both Sebastian and Alexa.

This was a really quick read and one that i thoroughly enjoyed. Full of intense and emotional moments and a great follow up to the first book.

The Way With You is the second in The Way series by Anne Mercier and another great book! When I started this novel, I expected there to be drama, due to the slight cliff hanger at the end of book one. What I hadn't counted on, was how different it was going to be from what I was expecting.

When book one ended, we were briefly introduced to Cam's ex girlfriend Alison, who had also bullied Olivia in the past. You knew from that moment, that the next instalment was bound to be intriguing. As I delved into this book, Alison didn't let us down, she was nasty, conniving and vindictive and did everything she could to make Olivia's life a misery. What I wasn't prepared for was Cam and the direction his character took. To say I was shocked, is an understatement, but that's what I love about Anne's books. You should never just assume that they are going to be just like everyone else's.

What I loved about this book, that many probably wouldn't is the direction Anne took with how Cam and Olivia's story was going to play out.......... would they get through the drama and continue on their journey of love.......... or will the pressures of a pro football career and nasty ex-girlfriend doom them. Throw in a hot as best friend and it makes for a fantastic read.

Want to know more? Go buy the book, I don't believe you will regret it xx

Terrible...

This was a waste of time. It's like all the character development from the first book went out the window. SPOILERS!!!
SPOILERS!!

Cam became a selfish jerk, spending time playing football and drinking heavily. All of which was out of character for him. Suddenly he was this terrible person who went from doing all he could to get Olivia to stand on her own to feet and let him in to being a distance selfish jerk. Honestly it felt like it was only done to make Seb come across as the better choice.
While Olivia reverted back to being the damsel in distress. All that time in the first book that she was standing up for herself went out the window. She allowed others to fight her battles and stayed quiet about her feelings.
Seb suddenly became the rescuer of any girl's bad boy dreams. It was hard not to pick his side when Cam was made out to be so terrible in this book. He honestly did nothing but enable Olivia by being her voice and protector. I spent the whole book hoping that Cam would be back to his original characterization and that Olivia would find her strength from the first book. But the author spent the whole book trying to sell me on Seb leaving me annoyed with the outcome. Save yourself the time a pretend the first book is a standalone.

I really loved The Way Back To Me so I was expecting to love this book just as much. Although I was a little disappointed I still ended up loving the story.

I loved Olivia in the first book and that didn't change in this book. I think I loved her a little more when she started sticking up for herself and not letting people see how scared she really was! Her attitude was great and I loved her relationship with Bash.

I was bullied most of my childhood and I think Anne portrayed the fear and other emotions felt by the victim really well. I felt scared for Olivia and I really wanted to protect her.

Cam was a jerk, I couldn't believe some of the things he did and I totally wanted to junk punch him repeatedly!

Bash was such a loveable character, he stepped up to the plate when things got hard and was constantly there supporting Olivia.

I'm really hoping we get a story from Alexa, I would love to find out who it is she's hiding! I'm thinking its Brax or Dekker!

This was another great read from Anne, it was quick and kept me hanging on every word. I wish we could have had dual POV through this story that's really my only criticism.

The first book I gave five stars. I truly loved it and love Anne's work but this book has killed the entire series and its not just because of how it ended, it was far too short, it was pure character annihilation, no explaining just that cam busy, busy with FOOTBALL, you can't be that in love one page and the next you don't care about one another... SPOILER.. I don't care that livvy gets with bash because cam was MIA and a D-bag but personally I don't think there was a proper build up to there relationship, yes they are best friends but the next their in love and liv doesn't think she was truly in love with cam, sorry what a load of BS, sorry but I wouldn't have read the sequel, the first was a beautiful story, totally immersive and written beautiful but this lacked depth and story, it needed to be longer, to explain what the hell was going on!

Review:
5 star review for this roller coaster

The main thing that comes to mind when I think about this book is WTH?? I Did NOT see that plot twist coming. So many emotions ran through my head as I read this book and I absolutely loved that.

So let me give you a little back story. I am new to reviewing in the blog world. You sign up for books review them, and move on to the next one. Well that's how it goes till you find out that the co-owner of the blog you're reviewing for is also the PA for the author. So ya thats a scary thoughts going into the book, right??? I had so much worry that I might upset one of the ladies I'm working with. What if I hate the book? I sure hope this isn't a flop. Lets just say i did not have to worry about that. I will be reading all of Anne’s books.

This book starts off with Cam and Olivia having a rough patch. He is busy with football. She is having a hard time adjusting to the fact that cam’s ex-girlfriend (Alison) is in town. Alison was a bully to Olivia in high school and Olivia doesn't need anymore troubles. She has gone through so much in the last few month that all Olivia needs is to heal. As the story goes on Olivia has every right to worry about this witch. Alison has been nothing but a thorn in Olivia's side. So Olivia keeps trying to talk to Cam about all this and all he does is brush her off. Thank goodness for Olivia's bff’s, Alexa and Sebastian, they have been Olivia’s rocks though all of the crap Alison is doing to Olivia.

So the story continues on like this for a while until Olivia has had enough of Cam’s BS. she confronts him and is going to call it off but doesn't want to give up on him so quick. She give him another chance and he is doing better. Then the “OMG” moment. And after that first heartbreaking moment it doesn't stop ripping your heart out. That's as much as i can say without giving the book away.

I was all over the place after i was done with his book. There are moments when i wanted to smack Cam upside his head. I truly was so heartbroken for Olivia. This book did not feel done for me. So I was so happy when I found out there would be more books in this series. Now the “patiently” waiting begins *sighs* I’m sure the wait will be worth it because it feels like there is way more to the story that hasn't been revealed. So I hope you read this series and happy waiting.

I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN ON A HELTER-SKELTER

THIS IS BOOK 2 FOLLOWING ON FROM OLIVIA AND CAM'S STORY

Book one left us with a huge cliffy and I was counting down the day's until book 2

The Way with you did not disappoint, Anne Mercier has written a brilliant college romance with the trials and tribulations of Olivia and the ups and downs that have taken place in her life along with her love life.

Praise goes to Anne Mercier as The way with you and The way back to me raises the seriousness of bullying and the LONG TERM consequences on the victim.

The plot itself had me flying through a mixture of emotions that at times I could feel my heart hammering in my chest.

Brilliant writing is when you no longer feel like your reading a story but merely an onlooker in the life of a girl who's had more burdens and baggage to carry than a camel in the Arabian desert. Does she get the hump? no she plods on with backbone. I admired Olivia's character.

The Twist? this had me tutting at Anne. Thank goodness for the break in-between books, I was team Cam all the way in the last book and finished the last few chapters on a happy sign as the plot in book 2 went on though I saw it coming and whas actually happy when I was right. what was it? you will have to read and find out.

What you get with The Way books is a great story told in Olivia's pov with enough angst and drama to keep you hooked right to the end.

Two books, Two love story's, one girl, One happily ever after.

Another brilliant read by Anne Mercier

Olivia and Cameron find themselves going in different directions at the start of this book. Cameron is now focused on football and getting drafted, while Olivia feels left behind and taken for granted. Olivia still has Lex and Sebastian to lean on but finds herself wondering why Cam can't find time for her. When Alison shows up and starts harassing and bullying Olivia, Cam doesn't really do anything to stop it. He feels she needs to understand his focus on football and just fend for herself. Many times during this book both Olivia and Cam find themselves disappointed with each other. Sebastian is there for Olivia through it all and Lex can't even defend her brother after a point. When things come to a breaking point, Olivia knows what she must do. It definitely has bullying and abuse elements to it so be warned if those are triggers for you. I will say that a relationship takes 2 people to work and you can't just depend on the other person to make you a priority. Olivia could have easily gone over to Cam's and tried to see him more. She found the time to hang around with Lex and "Bash" so she could have easily found some time to see him at the frat. It seemed she wanted him to keep jumping through hoops and proving himself to her, but she didn't put all that much effort into keeping it going herself. Her feelings were pretty obvious but she kept hoping for the Disney fantasy. It was nice when she finally owned her feelings and took the path she was meant to take. Overall it was a good, but short read. I was quite happy with the ending and found it worked for all involved.

I absolutely love The Way with you. I love that Olivia is so independent and smart doesn't take anything for granted and loves with her whole heart.  I Love Sebastian he is such a great friend outgoing funny caring he loves with his whole heart. I love that Olivia had such great friends that were there for her no matter what was happening they stood by Olivia.
I love that Sebastian and Olivia finally got to together. Olivia and Sebastian had feelings for eachother but they were to stubborn to admit that to eachother. Anne Mercier did an amazing job on Writing The Way with you. When I was reading the way with you there was heartbreak courage Love all in. The bullying parts of the book hit home for me it was hard to read it. You can tell anne mercier worte the story  with  pain and love.
I can't wait to read more from anne mercier.

What a amazing book! I've sat here contemplating what to say in my review, I don't want to give anything away but I want everyone to know how great of a book this is.
There is heartbreak, fear, love lost and love found. My emotions were all over the place, there were times I wanted to jump in the book and hug Liv and other times I wanted to stand beside her.
There is a story in this book that needed to be told and Anne did a wonderful job telling it. The story line of bulling will be close to home for lots of readers and she did a great job writing about it. This is a wonderful book and series! It's a must read!

Another amazing read! I loved it. Made me fall even more for Sebastian :-) The things Olivia had to go through and the way she coped with it, made you want to crawl into the book and comfort her. But one way or the other, she finds her strength and a way to stand on her own two feet and not depend on someone else. This book just got every feel and let you down that rollercoaster ride again, like the first book! Don't think I could've asked for more when Olivia choose the right path... I let you all figure that one out when you read it!

Another great book by Anne Mercier.

This book takes you on a journey full of emotions, Olivia has gone through so much in her life, you just can't help wishing and hoping she gets a break. Cameron cares for her which does come across, but just has to much going on. I love Sebastian and Alexa's character's they are Liv's support system when she needs them most. Love Anne Mercier books.

This book is a roller coaster of emotions and experiences for the characters in this story. Anne has done a great job in keeping this story fresh and gripping as the first book in the series. I loved how much Olivia and Cameron cared for each other and the length they would got to for one another. A great new adult romance story packed full of emotions and intense situations.

“‘Those are words I’m going to hold close every single day because I know you’d never say them unless you truly meant them. You’ve made me the happiest man alive, Livvy.’”

5 who needs an umbrella anyway stars!!! Hold on tight for an epic plot twist!

Book two picks up exactly where book one left off. Cam and Livvy are blissfully happy and enjoying each other and then Cam’s ex shows up and makes Livvy’s life a living hll. She starts leaning on Sebastian for moral support and comfort, now that Cam is busy with football. . And with that one relationship starts to crumble another starts to take off.

I won’t say much more about my review, but hang on to your seat for one HUGE plot twist. And while most people will be upset over the direction this book takes, I will say I loved it!!! I found that it fit perfectly and both characters deserve(d) the happiness that they’ve found within each other! Anne knows how to write one heck of a book and I’m a huge fan! I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in the series...

Thank you so very much Ms.Mercier for sending me a copy of The Way With You! I'm very honored and grateful!! :)

4 Surprising Stars!!

First of all can i just say how much i adore the cover of this book? I totally pictured them as the two main characters in the book. I wasn't sure what to expect after that surprising ending in The Way Back To Me i was very anxious to see what would happen next! The things that happened in this book left me shocked, angry, and happy all at the same time. Yes, you could say i felt a lot of emotions while reading this book and at times i could have thrown my Kindle against the wall but i hung on and I'm glad that i did. I'm sure others who have read this book was as shocked as i was. Ms.Mercier truly is such a sneaky Author in the sense that she left me stunned because of what happened. I don't want to give too much away due to the fact that this is a sequel but all i can say is have an open mind and be prepared for some major twists you won't see coming!

Olivia Brennan was a character that was finally living once again only to have a road block of sorts thrown in her way. I could have smacked her a few times for some of her choices and for her not opening her eyes soon enough. In my opinion she had more of a backbone this time around than she did in the first book. I liked that she had two best friends who truly supported her and was always by her side. Her friendship's with Alexa and Sebastian was stronger than ever. Honestly, i didn't like how some people treated her and she deserved so much better. So i don't spoil anything i'm going to leave my review at that so others can enjoy this book for themselves.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who read the first one in the series and wan'ts to find out what happens next! It might not be everyone's cup of tea but please don't let that dissuade you from picking up both books! It's worth the chance and emotional turmoil. If you've read the first one and haven't already One-Clicked this one , What are you waiting for?! Pick it up today! I hope you enjoy it as much as i did and like the outcome! 4 Stars all around!! :)

Finding Yourself

This book picks up right before the first book left off. With Cameron and Olivia in love, blissfully happy! Until the knock on Cam's door to end all knocks... his first girlfriend, who was a bigger bully to Olivia than Cam. With Cameron being busy with football, classes, and scouts, he has little time for Olivia. She is upset, but supportive, and hangs out with her new best friends Alexa and Sebastian (Bash). They know that they will never take the place of The Fab Five, and they understand that, as they start hanging out more and more. The bullying from Alison is getting worse and Cam just blows Liv off about it. Even Alexa is sick of the way her brother is behaving and treating Liv, and she's the one who tells Bash. With everything going on and still some free time to herself, Liv starts to rethink everything! Past, Present, and Future... Her friends, boyfriends, and starts doubting everything, even whether Danny and/or Cam and herself know what/how to love, and her own ways she's been working hard to find herself. She decides that it's time for a break, but Cam pleads with her, that he can learn to manage his time better. She agrees, with the condition that he starts taking her seriously about the threats from Alison and if he needs a break, to tell her. Bash is upset when he finds out, but accepts her decision. After all is said and done, Liv, Alexa, and Bash go to a huge football game! In a surprise twist of events...when she wonders how much more she can take. Who will be there? What path will she take? I once again highly recommend a box of tissues! This author, Anne Mercier, rips my heart out with this book and series! If she can pull me in and make me feel like I'm Olivia, then she's doing an amazing job with her writing! I will somewhat repeat what I said before, this is an amazingly beautiful heartbreaking journey of discovery! However, my review doesn't even come close to giving this book the justice it deserves!

Alright everyone, please simmer down. I get it. I was so totally Team Cam from the first book, and yes, when I first saw spoilers about this book, I didn't know how I felt about reading it. I was torn, conflicted and I actually had to go back and remind myself, from the first book, who Bash was. All that being said, I still read the book. I still found myself drawn to the story and now, I really want to see Cam's redemption. Don't get me wrong, I actually feel very happy for the characters of Liv and Bash, that's what love should be. So enthralled with someone, you can't help but want to be with them, no matter what else is going on in your life. Bash had that for Liv.

I still feel so strongly though, about the personality flip that occurred with Cameron. Maybe he just wasn't as strong as we thought, maybe he has more issues than we know about. What I hope for, but that is up for the author to decide if the character is pulling her to tell his story, is a book were Cam learns from this. Remember, the guy is only 20 (ish)! At some point, there has got to (I hope) be a person that lights a fire under him, hits him over the head with a stick (how many alliterations do I need here) that will have him change his ways? Who knows?

All that being said, overall, the story has what I have always loved about Anne's books, strong characters, drama value and a HEA, but maybe just not the way we expected.

PS - Please, do not just write this book off because of spoilers that you may have read - and don't get mad just because of your own personal views! READ THE BOOK!

3.5 star

After the first book in this series I was expecting the same if not more of a great story. I was sadly disappointed. The story has pain, secrets, suspense, twists & turns and complete heartbreak.

Before reading this story normally I would recommend reading the first book (listed below) but really after reading this one not sure you even need to……..
The Way Back To Me (The Way #1)

This is more of Olivia’s story. Olivia and Cam were connected but somehow this book broke them. Will they be together or will they both change so much that they have to move on with other people. Secrets and obstacles get in the way and people change and become almost completely different people. It was weird that this couple fought their way to each other only to more or less fall out of love… I might have loved this book if it was before the last book. But after all the pain and struggles this couple went through it was like throwing it all away…. Cam’s character was completely different from the first story. It was like reading about a completely different person. If you read book one you know he helped her pull herself out of her grief but this book made him into a completely different person that I didn’t like or understand. What happened to the Cam we all loved?

Not sure if I will continue this series.
