They say autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go… but I’m keeping Ryan’s beard.
Past Chloe has a lot to answer for. She’s made a number of questionable decisions, but drunkenly turning Ryan down on a dating app? Currently top of my list.
I love fall most of all, but oh my gourd, Ryan’s beard is fast becoming a close second.
Luckily, he’s ready to give me a second chance. We have everything in common, from art to weird history facts to the correct opinions about Titanic. And boy, does he know how to pumpkin spice it up in the bedroom.
We could easily be the cutest new couple in Boulder… if we ever leave his place.

Omg the ending... mind blown!!! I loved this instalment of Chloe’s dating adventures, it was hilarious and so steamy, but I’m going to need the next book ASAP, please and thank you!
Maybe Ryan is that perfect boyfriend on paper. But no one wants to date a cardboard cut out of a man - and his mother. Fall Hard is all about Chloe finally standing up for herself and realizing she deserves more than to have to settle for Mr. Close Enough. It's not so much about finding your match as finding your missing piece.
This installment of Dating Season is fresh, funny and just a bit melancholy. You can almost her the crunch of the leaves and smell the smoke in the air. And that cliffhanger. Let's just say settling in for the winter just got a hundred times more interesting.
Bacon legs. Bacon legs. Bacon legs. That’s it. I’m done.
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Bacon legs.
Bacon legs who?
Just Bacon Legs.
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
How do you make a perfect sandwich?
I can’t even get up to answer the door because I’m rolling around the floor laughing. It could only be better if I was rolling around laughing on a canvas on the floor covered in Prussian Blue paint. Making art.
At least Austin will come out with his swiffer to clean up after me.
Please just read these books. I’m so madly in love with Chloe, and Austin is beardiful.
Fall Hard was the perfect pick me up that I needed today.
I've looked long and hard for the perfect sandwich recipe and I think I found it...
Ryan and Chloe seem perfect for each other, in Titanic proportions. Love Chloe's creativity and painting skills and her willingness to bearly try new things.
I'm absolutely invested in Chloe, but I really want this next book because I want to see how Charlotte's wedding turns out. It's a big mountain to cross to the finish line.
Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee give you THE ENDING.
And then they make you wait for the next book before you find out if Chloe gets the man she deserves.
First, though, she needs to date Ryan, he of The Beard. Chloe had no idea that beards could be a thing, but after an outing or two with Ryan, she discovers just how much of a Release a beard can unleash. She also needs to sort out her friendship with Charlotte, which has hit a bump. Charlotte's wedding plans have run into in-law interference, and I loved how McGee and Paige showed the many variances of how parents can influence relationships.
Chloe worries, of course. Ryan is her third boyfriend in nine months. Will she find Mr. Chloe? Can she? If her heart belongs to Austin, can she open herself up to another possibility?
Yes, you will laugh. Yes, your naughty bits will tingle. And, yes, your eyes will leak a tear or twelve.
Where will Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee take Chloe next?
You will fall hard for FALL HARD ( pun intended) by Laurelin Paige and Kaytic McGee. This story will give you the exact fall feelings. The colourful passion. The warm , soft and bittersweet emotions. Chloe and Ryan's hilarious and sexy dating days will make you laugh, love and swoon.
It's a new season in Chloe's dating life. And this time it happened through a mistake as she and Ryan got assigned to the same table in art fair. And Chloe is delighted to find an artist who understands her quirkiness and who fulfils her childhood dream of having a bearded boyfriend. But will it last? Or Is Austin aka Chloe's roommate aka her hopeless crush right about her dating life?
This series is taking sarcastic goodness and witty banter to whole new level. I haven't laughed so much while reading any other book recently. Also this series reminds me of the simplicity of romance and its greatness. We can love complicated characters and twisted feels but this kind of simple yet heartwarming love story feels like a welcome break. My girl Chloe has learnt a lot from her past adventures. Like she shouldn't keep a relationship going when red flags are coming up just because she wants it to work. Ryan is a great guy..artsy, goregous, charming, cutely weird and whole lot of sexiness. Chloe has an amazing level of friendship and comfort with him. But it seems Ryan and Chloe both has a lot to work out about their past..and of course Chloe's feels for Austin acts like an obstacle. This was a sweet and swoony and steamy story that was all about uncomplicated fun. And Austin, my man, please make up your mind!
Fall Hard by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee is good time and better feels wrapped in wicked humor and delicious hotness.
Another sexy and fun read in the series of dating catastrophes. In this installment, Chloe (the Heroine) didn't meet her newest man through the dating app as she had previously done. They happened to meet organically. Well, sort of. This man and his beard. She is all about that beard. ;) But then she meets his mom. While each novella can be read as a stand alone, they all go together to form the whole story. There is no HEA ending.... yet. I would highly suggest reading them in order to get the full story, as there are parts that carry over from book to book as we follow Chloe on her quest to find 'The One' all the while trying to keep her spirits up. We are also watching her try to get over her longtime crush on her roommate and good friend, Austin, as she realizes he is getting closer to popping the question to his girlfriend. There is sexual content that is suitable for mature readers. There are lots of laughs. No tears included. This is a good fun light-hearted story.
First thing first.. bacon legs. Now that that’s out of the way, Ryan was Beardlicious. I mean, artistic and somewhat funny. He was the perfect hipster sounding guy that definitely fits his name. Chloe is adorably clueless and so fun. I love how she’s growing into her own person. Charlotte annoyed me a bit and Austin.. yeah. He’s just Austin, in the best way. I laughed so much. Definitely a mood booster! That ending though! How am I supposed to wait until July for more?!! Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go and umm make me a sandwich.. yeah, a sandwich.
5 Star Review of Fall Hard (Dating Season #3) by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee
This addition sees Chloe dating the beaded Ryan. Could she have finally found “the one”? As with the previous two books, this novella has a lot packed into it. Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee write so well together that I have no idea who writes what or where one author finishes and the other takes over, such is the seamlessness of their storytelling. There was plenty of heat, witty banter and humour and all in all it made for a short but highly entertaining read. However all is not at peace in Chloe’s life, her relationship with her best friend Charlotte is strained and this is affecting Chloe. Can Chloe really open herself up to finding love with Ryan, or anyone else, when she still has feelings for Austin? There were times when I laughed, times when I was brought to tears and times where I thought “oh no”. Now all I have to do is wait not so patiently for the next book to release.
Will Chloe ever find her Mr. Right? Although, this one has been the best so far. They have so much in common. Their love of art and history. Parts will have you laughing so hard tears will flow down your cheeks. These novellas are perfect. They keep you hanging on every word and at times have you thinking will this one be the one or what will happen to break them up. Although with each one, Chloe learns more about herself and makes changes for the better. No longer the shy one. As quoted from the book the student has become the teacher. Chloe is growing with each new relationship. But is she letting go of Austin and moving on? I loved how this one ended and curious how it will affect future relationships. Well done Laurelin and Kayti. Another incredible, humorous, and enjoyable story.

What?! You end this book like THAT?! Wtf?! I need book four. Like now!
Okay...I’m done with my melt down. Maybe. Seriously though, I am completely smitten with this fun steamy serial. This book was funny, packed with steam and beard. All hail the beard! I loved it. Super fun and light to read. Great fast paced flow. Now I’m just curious what kind of craziness is going to happen next. With an ending like that I know that it’ll be over the top! So excited.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I'm so loving Chloe and her dating adventures. Each time I get to the end of an episode, I want to scream out loud, "Somebody get me the next episode NOW!" Fall Hard brings us Ryan, a.k.a. The Beard. I laughed so hard at times while reading this episode, I cried. The dialogue is filled with wickedly delicious humor, conjuring up all kinds of visuals in my head. I just couldn't stop reading! Fall Hard is wonderfully written, fabulously funny and endlessly enjoyable to read. Don't miss it!
OMG - that ending!!! Finally something is going Chloe’s way in a romantic sense. But the majority of this installment is Chloe’s adventures with Ryan. They clicked right away and seemed to be almost perfect together. Until you realize that they are basically dating the opposite sex’s version of themselves. Plenty of laughs to be had as they navigate their relationship and the way it eventually ended was perfect for the pair. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
The humor and the fun times continue as Chloe pursues her quest to find a good man. I have to say that so far, this is the best one yet! I mean come on...Ryan HAS A BEARD! Fall Hard is such a great novella and all I have to say about the ending is YES PLEASE!
Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee continue with their lighthearted rom-com series. Fall Hard was a fun and crazy read that is sure to make you laugh.
Chloe is still looking for the perfect man and she’s found it with Ryan or Ryan’s beard? What!? Even though Chloe seems to hit it off with Ryan, especially when they have so much in common, things for her never go as planned. Fall Hard is novella #3 of the Dating Season series by Laureling Paige & Kayti Mcgee. Told from the heroine’s point of view with an unresolved ending. Genres: Romantic Comedy | Contemporary Romance

Chloe and her hilarious dating adventures continue when she meets Ryan's beard! Chloe is moving forward with her pottery business. She rents a booth to sell her pottery but there is a mix-up and Ryan is assigned to the same booth. They connect and have fun right from the start and begin seeing each other. They have so much in common from art to love of history facts, to their explosive chemistry. Chloe and her friend Charlotte swoon so much over Ryan's beard, that even her roommate and not so secret crush, Austin, starts to grow one. Ryan is sweet, funny, adventurous, but a total mamma's boy, making things awkward at times. When he never comes to pick her up on dates, Charlotte and Austin begin questioning his worthiness. When Chloe and Ryan really open up about their pasts, and the secrets they're keeping, will they be able to keep their hot and steamy romance going? I love Chloe more and more with each adventure. She loves her friends, owns up to her faults, and then grows from them. I love her quirks, inner thoughts and sense of adventure. There are so many clever and hilarious moments but the sandwich making and pottery lesson scene is the absolute best! This episode was so hilarious, heartfelt, and sizzling hot, and the ending made my jaw drop! I just can't get enough of Chloe's dating adventures!
Our intrepid heroine is still trying, valiantly, to not only figure out dating but also trying to avoid having to die on any hills. And, really, both are pretty important things to have a handle on...and, she is trying.
So, in her current attempts to avoid her feelings for Austin AND find the love of her life, she meets and begins a relationship with Ryan. Well, possibly with his beard.
What you ask? Although, at this point in our journey with Chloe you should be well past asking "WHAT?" and just embracing her as she is.
Ryan goes pretty well...until he doesn't. As that is how all of her relationships seem to go...although the writing for this one was on the wall earlier in the relationship than it has been in the others, which I think is showing some willingness to grow on Chloe's part, which is good.
I am still hoping Austin is the end game, possibly because I really want Chloe to get what I want her to have...but I am also certain these authors have a plan for our heroine and I will love the ending, no matter who she ends up with. (Although, seriously, it had better be Austin.)
Firstly I want to say I have a girl crush on Chloe. Once you meet her you will too. Secondly, I want to say that I didn't know that you could 'butter' a beard. So not only is the Dating Season series funny as but it's educational too and I'm for all education and 'buttering' the beard especially if it belongs to the delicious Ryan. In Fall Hard we find Chloe meeting Ryan (he can fall on me any day) by chance when they are squeezed together in the same booth at the local craft fair. The romance blossoms, could he be the one for Chloe? He's good with his paints and hands and beard. Seems just perfect until we meet his mum.....ugh and Chloe starts to have doubts. We catch up with the other characters in this series who are just so lovable. They add so much to Chloe's journey. Charlotte is having problems with her MIL (another mum causing problems....rolls eyes) and Austin well he's just Austin being his usual sexy self, making the perfect sandwich and voicing his concerns where Chloe is concerned. He seems to know before Chloe that the guy she's with isn't the one for her. Maybe that's because he's the one? Fall Hard ends in the most perfect way. Here's hoping Winter Bloom gives us and Chloe her happily ever after......minus any interference from anyone's mum.
So far Chloe hasn't found Mr. Right, but nine months into her dating season, she meets Ryan. They hit it off and everything is going well. They have similar interests and he's got a beard which Chloe loves! Then she meets his mom and things change. Ryan might have seemed to be the perfect boyfriend, beard and all, but his mom is a deal breaker. Chloe is back on the market, but timing is everything!
This series is so much fun! The ending has me excited to read the next installment! Will she finally find her Mr. Right?
Fall Hard book 3 in the Dating Season Series is another win in the book dept...but will it be for Chloe. I am so wrapped up in the dating world of Chloe I feel like we are best friends and she’s telling me her story. I love it. I feel like I’m living vicariously through her lol. She’s everything a dating woman wants. Willing to try new things, sweet and caring and willing to find love in places others wouldn’t think of going. She is continuing to learn what’s she’s willing to live with and what is a no go for her. In Fall Hard she may have found herself in a perfect mate...or not. You’ll have to read it to find out. Rather it’s a match made in artistic heaven or another flop you won’t be disappointed in the ride. I received a free advanced copy to read and review.
The search for Mr. Right continues. Love is only a season away. Will this be the season for romance? Fall Hard for a slightly bruised heart, a tempting chance at love and maybe the perfect book boyfriend. Paige and McGee find the humor in Mr. Wrong, while helping Chloe find her perfect fit.
Chloe's journey to finding love has taken us on quite a ride so far and Fall Hard is no exception. I laughed so freaking much while reading about her relationship with her seemingly perfect match, Ryan. I legit belly laughed several times. Chloe and Ryan (er maybe more like Ryan's beard) had great chemistry. I truly thought this could be the guy to help Chloe move on from Austin, but he is always right there on the fringe. Now on to the most important part: THAT ENDING!!!! GAH!
I can't stress enough how much I love the concept of this series! Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee are quickly becoming one of my favorite writing duos.
Oh Chloe, Chloe, Chloe. What am I going to do with you?? That's the question I asked myself the moment this ARC showed up on my kindle. I thought I knew what I was getting into-but these authors definitely know how to keep it fresh.
I'm loving Chloe and all of her quirks. I appreciate that she owns them all; she doesn't hide from who she is. She both cracks me up and has me shaking my head at different times. I'm really enjoying her dating roller coaster-even if I'm ready to see her finally have her happiness with a certain someone. Please, let it be Austin! :)
I love how these authors are weaving this series. These characters are fantastic. The writing is funny, real and honest. I swear it's like visiting with friends each time I read the books in this series. Now, this one had me frantically trying to turn the page at the end of the book-I wasn't ready for that little cliffhanger!!! Bring on the next installment, please!!!
I enjoyed this book very much and would absolutely recommend it.
I am loving the misadventures of Chloe and her dating life lol. This one brings us Ryan who Chloe just wants to rub her face all over and all is good between them, really good until it’s not! Can’t wait for the next one
Another season of dating for Chloe… here’s what you will find:
1. An interesting meet-cute 2. Fun with beards 3. Blue paint 4. Gummies 5. Talking art 6. Mother visits 7. Wedding fight 8. Living with Austin
Will living with Austin help her get over that crush? Chloe gets insightful. And where is Lucy?? All of this and so much more…. Here’s hoping that this is Chloe’s season! (Fingers crossed)
