Necklace Trilogy #3

When I Say Yes

Rate this book
I believe that there is one person in this world that can both break us and make us whole. One person who can love us more than life can hurt us. With this comes deep, intense passion, and a burning connection. But in turn, that person can destroy us, cut us, make us bleed in ways no other ever could. They have power over us.

For me, that one person is Dash Black.

He walked into my life in a rush of sunshine, in the darkness of heartache and uncertainty. We were broken apart, and whole together. He healed me. I believed I did the same for him. Until the past became the present, and every moment of suffering in his life consumed him. Instead of seeking refuge in me, he pushed me away. As the famous quote from an unknown author says, “If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it’s yours; if it doesn’t, it never was.”

I've set Dash Black free. Now, I wait.

When I Say Yes is the third and final book in the Necklace Trilogy.

ABOUT THE SERIES
A dirty-talking alpha who just happens to be her boss...
A proposed marriage of convenience so he can inherit...
A passion neither of them can deny...

Tyler Hawk is a man with secrets and a dark past. A man who has known tragedy and betrayal. He wants for little, but what he wants is more power, a legacy that is his own, and not his father's. There are obstacles in his way, one of which is the scandal his father left behind and a will with certain demands.

Behind the scenes he is a man on edge, and only one woman sees the truth hidden beneath his strong will and dominant rule. Bella is somehow demanding and submissive, fiery and yet sweet. She can give him everything he wants, she just doesn't know it, not yet, but she will. If she'll just say yes and sign on the dotted line.

Sometimes closure is truly accepting there is nothing you can do to change a situation.

This was such a fascinating tale, and I loved every single moment that brings us to the conclusion. Just like book one, book two ends with a teaser, and you just know that you need to continue on with book three. The first half of this book is wildly intense, as Allie and Dash come to a conflict within their relationship and it will take some craftiness of our heroine to bring our hero back from the brink. Dash has some dark demons that haunt him from his past, he has a scary addiction to fighting, and Allie will need every friend they both have to save him and we see what it almost costs Allie, but as she endeavors to save the man that she loves, there is a danger just lurking that could destroy them all.

“You chose,Dash, and it wasn’t me or us.”

“I was trying to save you, Allie, from me”

This BOOK had so many depths to it and I was so hooked on its conclusion. This author definitely knows how to break a heart yet can heal it all at the same time. I was so entranced by this story and seeing our couple really find such a beautiful love and learn to fight for it, even at such a personal cost to themselves. We have a conflict that builds between the relationship and man my heart just broke for these two and it worked out in a way I NEVER expected. This author definitely knows how to keep me on my toes here. And we also see the mystery that has been teased since page one of book one, actually be revealed and man my heart. I really didn’t know what I expected or who the villain would turn out to be ….it was NOT whom we see be revealed. And now I need the next trilogy that is connected to this one because dang it, this author really worked me so well .

He wants, needs, and even demands my submission. Because submission is trust and tonight tried to tear away the new and fragile trust between us

Overall I would have to say I ADORED this trilogy so much, it kept me eager and waiting, I couldn’t put these books down and I read the trilogy in ONE SITTING!! I adored every part of Dash and Allie’s journey and I can’t wait to delve more into the magic of this author’s writing. If you haven’t picked up this author, I can’t recommend her enough to you!!

“It just means that in the end, the monsters are slain when a mighty battle is fought, but we survive.”

So I've binge read this trilogy in less than four days, I just gobbled it up and really enjoyed it. There are so many twists and turns, Lisa Renee Jones did a wonderful job with throwing a wrench in here and there to get you off the sent you were picking up...but me being me, I stuck to my guns and knew in my gut who the bad guy was and I was correct. Not that I wanted to be, but yeah...I had all the details pinned down correctly.

Have you started this trilogy yet? If you enjoy Steamy Romantic Suspense I would recommend you adding this to your TBR shelf, you'll enjoy all of the twists and turns of Allison Wright trying to find Allison W., the correct owner of the necklace that was delivered to her by mistake, while falling head over heals for the handsome Dash Black, former FBI agent turned Bestselling Author. This trilogy will have you wondering where in the world is Allison and what really made her leave her job and her home so quickly.

Happy Reading!!!

The ending of book 2 had me want to devour this book when I finally got it. LRJ really knows how to give the best cliffhangers. I always know things will work out, but it sure doesn't stop me from needing to know how things work out.

I have also been dying to know what happened to the other Allison. I want to talk about that but its definitely a spoiler so I can't. I can say it wasn't what I was expecting.

Dash is your tortured hero that holds a lot of guilt for things he really doesn't deserve. Allison is the one person who can get through to him but she really had to work at it. She was also way too involved with the other Allison, especially since she never met her, but it was that curiosity that solved the mystery.

This is a 3 book trilogy you do need to read in order. It has some appearances from characters in other series which I always find delight in.

Picking up where “Because I Can” left off, I was immediately thrust back into the intensity of this story and the feeling that any wrong move would bring Allison’s and Dash’s world tumbling around them leaving them permanently shattered. I really wondered at the choice Dash would make.

This final installment had Dash and Allison confronting their demons and struggling to allow themselves to trust. Watching them face their challenges head on was angsty while being beautiful. The depth of emotion between this hero and heroine had me clutching my Kindle.

The mystery surrounding the other Allison really comes alive now. I found myself anxious and trying to read between the lines. All fruitless as suddenly this story was taking me to a place I never expected. I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of Tyler and wouldn’t be surprised if we see Dash’s sister as well.

This book and the entire trilogy was awesome. I loved how it flowed and the fully fleshed out plot and characters. Once again LRJ delivered a captivating story full of emotion, mystery, passion, love, scorching chemistry. I also enjoyed revisiting some characters from previous series, Mark Compton, Adrian, and Lucifer one of the men who run Walker Security. And his story is quickly approaching....can't wait! Overall rating: 4.5 stars! ♥️

The third and final book of this trilogy is full of twists and turns until the very end up also provides answers to all those questions that came up in book one.

Allie and Dash’s relationship continues to be full of ups and downs but the two of them continue to come out stronger each time. I have loved the growth of their relationship and the bonds that they have formed with themselves, but also with each other’s families. The chemistry between Dash and Allie continues to be explosive throughout the course of the story.

This story was fast paced and I couldn’t put it down. I needed all the answers to my questions, especially the question of what happened to the other Allison. The suspense and mystery of this trilogy had me on the edge of my seat from book one until the very end of book three.

If you’re looking for a workplace, romantic suspense check this one out after reading books 1 and 2.

,,Death has a way of showing you how easily 'the end' can appear in life, how easily regret is created, and opportunities are missed."

Allison never thought that she will have to make such a big decision. She is torn between going after what her heart desires and choosing to break it into a million pieces. She fears that after this heart brake, she will not be able to put the pieces back together.

But as the mystery of the necklace uncovers its dark parts, no one will be able to hide anymore, all the secrets will come to the surface. In that dark world everyone will face the past. Will that destroy them or make them even stronger? How will this story end?

I have to admit, I wasn't sure where this story will go, but after reading the final book in the trilogy, I saw how smart and flawless this story is put into words.
The character building throughout the three books is amazing. All their thoughts, fears and feelings, all that makes them (us) human is shown all over the pages and the reader doesn't have any other choice but to be a witness of that. Their backstories are so emotional, I now understand why they acted like they did in the previous parts.

Tyler shows us the ugly part of love. His own fears pushed the love he thought he doesn't deserve and punishes himself since then. But also shows us that with the right people by our side, those dark clouds can be vanished.

I was skeptical at first about this trilogy, but I was so wrong. Lisa has an amazing and rich writing style and this story is one of those that curls up in your heart with every single page you read. Definitely one of the best stories I've read this year.

I don’t usually like to write negative reviews. But wow this trilogy was painfully awful. Considering Lisa Renee Jones is in my top 15 must read authors…this series felt like it was written by an imposter and not something I am accustomed to reading by this author. It was just that bad. I really struggled to finish the first book and was hoping it would get better. It didn’t. I did skim much of these books. I think the reason I didn’t quit was because I wanted to find out what happened to the other Allison. Could have saved my time and read about the the last five chapters of the final book lol Sorry Miss Jones if you read this review. This story and the writing style just wasn’t for me this time.

Complete Trilogy Review- NO SPOILERS

Receiving the wrong delivery has somehow landed Allison a new yet temporary position at Hawk Legal. I am one of the lucky few that have been able to binge-read the entire trilogy from start to finish. All within a 24 hour period. I was absolutely consumed with this. So many different love stories are crafted together to form a mystery. Many of the different interactions and outcomes I did not see coming. I found so many aspects of this trilogy highly fixating. I literally couldn’t put it down. I finally finished at 2 AM. It goes to show Lisa Renee Jones has a knack for compelling storytelling. Those of you who have been in it since book one can revel in this last and final part of the trilogy. And those of you who haven’t had the pleasure... well, you’re lucky in my opinion. You get to do what I did and binge your through till the end.

This book brings things to a close and we finally find out what happened to Allison, the first one. I have to say I wasn't surprised, just sad, learning what happened.

Dash and Allie go through quite a bit too. Starting out where it looks like they might be done. Allie takes a big chance and wins so much with her actions. It all leads to some very happy times for her and Dash. While they did need to work through some things, you can see it will be happy times ahead for them, something they deserve.

Excellent final book in this gripping trilogy by one of my favourite authors. It's full of suspense, intensity, and heart-wrenching emotion.

Allie and Dash burn the pages with the war they wage against their demons. I had my doubts about how they would overcome the hurdles they faced, but the first few chapters of this book are alight with powerful confrontations and truths. The relationship they are building is passionate and strong, so touching at times. And I love all the family connections. It feels very real and warm as the couple grow their intimacy, make plans with family, or face dangers and trouble with a united front.

What's more, the two other male characters, Tyler and Mark, are amazing! The dialogues with them vibrate with raw energy, anticipation and intelligence. These men deserve their own story!

Then we go back to one of my favourite parts which is Allie's job at Hawk's Legal. It's so absorbing to see her work there with the auction and how she claims her independence and well-being. The mystery around Allison's disappearance reaches a crescendo of emotion and danger. I truly love this plot, and I found the resolution both bittersweet and thrilling. The plot twist and its consequences are earth-shattering!

What a way to end things. There's love, hot times, magnetic characters, and a mystery that runs deep and scary. A wonderful experience.

Amazon / Apple / Nook / Kobo / Kobo / Audio / Print

When I Say Yes picks up immediately after Because I Can left off, and Allie's determined to fight for her man, even though he's only willing to fight. Not to fight for them, just to fight. To fight his demons, to give into his addiction. To get to Dash before he does something he can't come back from, Allie will have to ask for help from some sources she might end up regretting, but that's not as important as getting to Dash and convincing him to stay out of the ring.

Dash has a choice: give into his demons and push away the love Allie brings. Or follow her back to the light and take that leap of faith that they can fight his (their) darkness, together. Will Allie be willing to give him her submission? Give into his control, even if it's only for the night? Will she accept all his darkness, together with her own?

I love this trilogy! I love all Lisa's alphas and the feisty women who love them, but this one really resonated with me. I'm not sure if it's because of Dash's extremely damaged soul, or because of Allie's, or if it's both of them. But whatever reason, I absolutely fell in love with them and their story. They fought hard, overcame numerous obstacles, put each other through a lot of pain and heartache, and finally, fell deeply, madly in love. And lest I forget to mention, two of the side characters, Mark and Tyler, have me salivating for their stories, AND that other character, that dark character at the end? I have got to read his story, soon!!!

4.25 stars--WHEN I SAY YES is the third and final instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult NECKLACE erotic, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on former FBI agent turned author Dash Black, and former editor turned museum acquisition/ cataloguer Allison ‘Allie’ Wright. WHEN I SAY YES should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book two BECAUSE I CAN. There is a slight cross over with the author’s INSIDE OUT and WALKER SECURITY series.

SOME BACKGROUND: Allison Wright’s arrival at Hawk Legal finds our heroine facing reclusive billionaire Tyler Hawk, who offers Allie a temporary position organizing an upcoming charity auction, a position recently held by another Allison but the delivery of a priceless necklace pushes Allie to begin an investigation into the woman no one can find, the woman who was the intended recipient of the diamond necklace. As our heroine enters into her three month position, she will meet charismatic author Dash Black, the man with whom Allie will fall in love but all is not well between Dash and Tyler, and Allie becomes a pawn in a game of one-upmanship between the two men trying to control her life.

Told from first person perspective (Allie) WHEN I SAY YES continues to follow the building romance and relationship between author Dash Black, and former editor turned museum cataloguer Allison ‘Allie’ Wright but Dash’s demons continue to ride him hard, and pushing Allie out of his life fuels our heroine to step in when no once else is able. Their quick rekindling relationship pulls together two people whose lives have become intertwined with a missing woman who may or may not be alive, an abusive agent and ex, two absentee fathers, and the possibility that the journals left behind by the original Allison, reveal more than anyone could have imagined. As Allie and Dash move towards the next phase of their own lives, grief and loss, death and destruction lay ahead on the path going forward.

WHEN I SAY YES is a story of power and control, dysfunctional family and relationships, betrayal and revenge, acceptance and love. The series premise read in the same vein as the author’s INSIDE OUT TRILOGY including a missing woman, her journals, and a man pining for the woman who may never return. The premise is captivating, provocative and emotional but the conflict resolution is quick and abrupt ; the romance is seductive and passionate;the characters are charismatic, powerful and energetic-here’s hoping the author has plans for Dash’s sister Bella, and billionaire Tyler Hawk.

This is a review of the entire Necklace Trilogy series, not just the 3rd book. I give the series *almost* 4 stars, with the caveat that it won’t be for everyone. It’s a bit ridiculous and over the top at times, while also being wildly dramatic. The ending was truly bonkers. But this was also so damn entertaining. For those that enjoy fast paced romances with a bit of danger and a lot of smut, this is the series for you. (And just to make it clear, I am in fact one of those people 😉). This is my first read from Lisa Renee Jones, and it won’t be my last, because honestly, The Necklace Trilogy was supremely enjoyable. Yes, this probably didn’t need to be 3 books, but who cares. I could not put this series down. The sex scenes were steamy, the overall storyline was pretty good, and the mystery behind Allison 1’s disappearance had me captivated. If you enjoy Ivy Smoak, Meghan March, or Willow Summers, this is a series you need to read.

A big thank you to the author for providing me with copies of the entire series. I truly enjoyed the wild ride that was The Necklace Trilogy, and look forward to more from LRJ in the future.

After the events that transpired in the previous book in this trilogy Dash has come to the conclusion that the best way to show Allie he loves her is by keeping his distance as she deserves better than he can give her. Allie knows that together they can overcome anything and isn’t about to allow him to break both their hearts and is willing to do anything to protect him even if it is from himself.

Not only are they dealing with the turmoil of their pasts the mystery of Allison which originally brought them together continues to amp up and we finally get the closure that we as well as Allie needs.

The characters are captivating, the intrigue keeps you guessing, the chemistry between them is hotter, the love between them is deeper and I enjoyed seeing them emerge stronger both individually and together.

"In Darkness there is always Light"...Finale Allison and Dash

That was such a well written Finale book 📚📖 for the Necklace Trilogy. I enjoyed all the suspense and drama of this book 📚📖. We find Allison still trying to figure out what happened to the other Allison. We have Dash trying to come to work through what happened with his brother and his dad. Then we have the characters, Tyler, Bella and Mark. I think there could be a novella or series on these three people. The lies are uncovered. The secrets and the betrayal is revealed. Allison and her father are trying to forge a relationship and Brandon is just who he is, a non factor. I love Lisa Renee Jones the author of such awesome stories. This was a great read and I would highly recommend this series and any of her books 📚📖 or series.

Great ending to the series. When I say Yes picks right up where book two ended. These are not meant to be read as stand alones. Must be read in order. Dash and Allie have an unbreakable bond. Their chemistry is off the charts. The passion they have for one another is swoon worthy. They make one another a better person. But they have to fight for their relationship.. there are things and people who try to separate these two. There is lose, mystery, suspense, betrayal amongst these pages. But there is also happiness, friendship, family and love. Fantastic series that hits all bullet points. Don’t delay and start on the journey of Allie and Dash. You will. To be disappointed.

Excellent ending

...to this trilogy! Just as I started to think there wouldn't be enough story to stretch this into a third book, everything got stirred up and interesting! Allie is still working on the auction, Dash is frantically trying to finish his latest Ghost book, Jack makes several appearances and keeps getting creepier, Tyler is getting frustrated, Bella is doing her agent thing, and Neil is still searching for Allison. So good!

Quickie review: 3.5-3.75 stars. This was not quite as good as this author's books usually are. It was not bad and I did find it entertaining, but I thought it had too much back and forth drama. The couple fought too much and lacked in chemistry. But I still enjoyed it in general and found it hard to put down.

I loved Dash and Allie and how their relationship developed through their journey to their HEA. This book, just like the first two kept you hooked from the beginning. You have suspense, angst, and steam.

They faced several obstacles in their relationship, but they faced them together and fought for their love for each other. I had my suspicions as to what happened to the other Allison, but I liked how Lisa pulled it all together in this book.

Lisa Renee Jones always writes great stories and I would recommend her books to anyone.

Finally the answers we’ve been waiting for! Dash and Allie have weathered storms together and keep coming out the other side. The mystery surrounding Allison has reached its boiling point with Allie reading her journals, Dash’s FBI buddy looking for her, and comments from coworkers. I can’t say much without spoilers so I will say this, I enjoyed this series that was full of mystery, romantic suspense, tenderness, steamy scenes and lots of growth. I read as fast as I could to find the answers to my burning questions!

First book was good and stayed on the storyline, ended with a huge cliffhanger. Book 2 did not return to the original storyline and created even more plots that I did not feel were relevant to the original book. Book 3 continued the book 2 storyline, and in the final chapters continued on book 1 storyline in a lackluster way. Rating this trilogy a 3 because I felt I was dragged along after book 2 and the "necklace" storyline was dropped after book 1 and never returned until the final 20 pages.

Great ending to the necklace series but needs a little more

Lisa Renee Jones (LRJ) has a way with telling a story that pulls you in. You get connected to the characters and the situation they find themselves in. Dash and Allie were no exception. I liked that both characters were flawed even though I kind of get upset with them for constantly changing their minds supposedly to protect the other even though it’s clear to the reader it is more to protect themselves. In this book, we get to see
The characters continued growth into a couple that fight for each other. The strong connection they feel for one another is instantaneous and strong. The sex scenes were frequent and exceptionally hot. The conversations although sometimes whiplashed are real to life and not stunted.

The only two things I had issue with is:
1) I wish the climax of action had more angst. It ended too fast for me after putting in three books for the ending to the conflict. In this book, the conflict definitely seemed secondary. And that’s a shame. We get to see every minute feeling the characters feel throughout but the action in this one was quick and done. I did like seeing the rough aftermath of the climax but even that was quick.
2) I don’t get the necklace connection. Who sent it? In my mind couldn’t have been the bad person. Why would he send it? Very vague when everything else was spelled out to the nth degree. Considering this is called the necklace series, I think that should have been more addressed. Lol. A little point but now I’m going to have to go back and try to figure it out(aware that I will never know it seems).
3) sometimes I think there is too much repeating thoughts told to us, over and over again. I think this could be condensed and more word count given to the action at the climax. That’s over too quickly. Plus I’m my own opinion, I think the mental torture at the action climax could be more intense and fleshed out more. The literary climax is a
Quick “O” to a very lengthy foreplay session.

Overall I really like these books. And I really hope LRJ reads this for constructive feedback to help other stories be even better.

WHEN I SAY YES by Lisa Renee Jones is book Three in the Necklace Trilogy. This continues the story of Allison Wright 'Allie'. Since this is not a standalone book you will need to read the two previous books: What If I Never? and Because I Can. This book does pick up where we had left off in the last book. Dash and Allie are still working through all that came out in the last book. Allie is still trying to solve the mystery of what happened to Allison. We also learn more about Dash and his issue that have kept him from his feelings for Allie. This Trilogy was nothing short of page turning. Really enjoyed it.

The first book was pretty engaging, I admit I got sucked in by the little mystery going around the owner's necklace and how the chemistry between the MCs would play out. It's a bit of slow burn between them.
After reading the three books I feel like this could have easily been one book or maybe a duet. This was truly overdrawn—especially the mystery part— and ended up being boring and dull. Unfortunately that's a common flaw in trilogies.
Respectively, my rating would be 3/2/2. Generously rounding up my rating for the whole trilogy to 3 stars.
