She’s heaven. She’s hell. She’s the temptation I can’t resist and the torture I willingly put myself through, so I can watch her come undone before I get mine.
"Maybe she needs a cause to fight for."
"...good guys, unicorns like him, really do exist."Told in dual POV, Hard to Lose is a smoking hot read full of passion and tender romance. In addition to the sports romance element, Bromberg explores the life of a veteran and the aftermath of war. Because Gunner gave up his dreams to be a professional athlete to fight for his country, we experience the turmoil of those choices right along with him. The relationship between Gunner and Chase is sultry and sweet and they truly made a perfect match.
"My beginning is her end."Overall, Hard to Lose is another stunning addition to this series. I have enjoyed every single character from this series and Gunner makes an excellent addition to the crew. Although I am not normally a fan of "deep secrets" in a read, Chase and Gunner made it all worth it. I will certainly miss the Kinkade Sisters and their men but my character I will miss the most from this family is the father and patriarch of the family. Mr. Kinkade loves his daughters fiercely and will do anything to help his girls! There's nothing better than a father's love! I have always been a fan of K. Bromberg and I certainly look forward to more greatness to come!
"Dance in the rain with me."
"Maybe I'm curious about this man who's close to me in age and who felt so strongly about his duty, that he gave up his dream to fulfill it."
"One orange envelope, one mistaken identity, and one dance in the rain later, and there's nowhere else I'd rather be or person I'd rather be with."
