Just when I think Jacob can’t get any better, he does it again. Donovan and Piper are such great, strong characters but Jacob nails the vulnerable emotions he was shooting for. Such a fantastic story and it’s always a joy to revisit with previous characters that he weaves into his stories, making it feel like you know everyone already and those you don’t yet know, you want to. Can’t wait for the next one!

Just add this book to the many Jacob Chance books I could not put down. I mean, who needs sleep when you could be diving back into the world of the Terriers?
Tripped is definitely amongst my favorites. It had a sass, heartbreak, secrets, suprises, humor and most of all love. Donovan and Piper had lightning chemistry from the moment they were introduced, even if Donovan wanted to deny it, it was tangible.
I love a story that has your rooting for them the whole way through. There was a need in me to make sure they ended up together. I found myself turning the pages faster and faster after every Donovan and Piper run in, willing them together. Haha!
These two were giving my book life!
I can't wait for more! In the meantime I'll be dreaming of hockey....

Tripped was a fast paced read that will trip up your emotions and take you on a ride of a life time! Donavon and Piper had chemistry right from the start, but young love and regrets brings you the best banter, heartache, and all the redeeming swoon. As always, Jacob gives us the baddest chicks and swooniest men. I loved Donavon and Piper and didn’t want their story to end!

JC has done it again! Another unputdownable summer read that has all the feels for you in this second chance sports romance. Great characterisation of both Piper and Donovan - the emotions were on point and made you feel as if you were really living their experience….I felt transported back to my youth ha ha! There was both a real sweetness and a poignancy to their journey, I definitely found it to be unexpectedly emotional, although I can’t say more than that without spoiling it for others. Loved seeing characters from the previous series make an appearance too, that is always fun. Most especially I look forwards to any “date night” sections of the story….you never quite know what is going to come up but it is always something sweet and thoughtful. I would say there is definitely a realism to the story too in terms of the characters reactions and responses…..the story flows well and keeps you turning the pages. Looking forwards to more badass characters in this series. You could read as a stand-alone, but why miss out on the others - I recommend the whole series.

My favorite Sports Romance of 2021!
Piper was crushed when Donovan broke up with her years before, but now a second chance to be with him brings back bad memories. Donovan is ready to show Piper that he's the man for her, but will she give him the time of day? Tripped is a second chance romance that had me laughing, crying, and angry at characters. When a book like this makes me feel all these emotions, you know it's a great book. Tripped has to be one of my favorite Sports Romance of 2021.

What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL book! I have been excited to read Donovan and Piper’s story since we got a tease of it in Hooked, and it did not disappoint! This second chance, sports romance was an epic level of sweetness with emotions filling my heart and squeezing it. With one of the most adorable and lovable couple Jacob Chance has ever written. I loved every chapter, I adored the characters, and the plot is just heart melting.
I devoured this book. This story was unexpectedly emotional, but all the tears were completely worth it. Donovan and Piper’s story is truly beautiful. I loved Donovan for his flirty banter and his big heart, and I loved Piper not only for her sassy, snarky wit but for her vulnerable side, and the way she made Donovan work for her. These two just had it – that connection, that pull, that wonderful, magnetic chemistry. They completed each other in a way that will have you swooning. Their second chance love story was beautiful to watch and Piper made Donovan work for it. It truly was a tale of romance, love, heartbreak and forgiveness.
Heat-filled, endearing, and heartfelt, Tripped blew my mind and took me by surprise in the best of ways. This was such a page-turner that I devoured it in one sitting, and I simply couldn’t get enough of these characters and their love story.

An enjoyable read that is easily read as a Standalone, but for those who have been following the series it is a great addition.
Piper and Donovan first meet at week long hockey camp when they are 18, and they have a connection, attraction and then it's over...move on a couple of years later and they are both attending Boston University, playing hockey, and once again they meet, although Piper's initially not wanting anything to do with Donovan, as a result of the past, and gives some attitude towards him but gradually they get a second chance as they both still have that connection from before.
I won't go into much more detail so as not to give spoilers, I will say that I liked that characters seen previously featured, there was again a good mix of sports detail along side their storyline, there were some funny moments and some emotional parts too.

Timing is everything, you could meet your soulmate a moment too soon and when the timing is off then it just won’t work.
Jacob Chance has brought us back to Boston U to spend some time with our favorite hockey team! Donovan and Piper met at a hockey camp while they were still in high school, and as perfect as that week was, their timing was off. Two years have passed and they now find themselves together at Boston U, will the timing be better now?
This is a great story that has everything we need, with some drama, a lot of heart and the perfect amount of heat! Do not miss out on this story, it is the 5th book in the series but it’s ok to read it out of order, but trust me you want to read all 5!

Jacob Chance makes me fall more in love with these characters with each new book in this series! He brings in another goal scoring installment to The Boston Terriers Hockey with TRIPPED!

This is a new favourite from one of my most loved sports romance series! Piper and Donavon’s story was unexpectedly emotional. This second chance with a first love story is filled with all the right intentions and crappy circumstances. Their love is so deep but they’ve definitely got things to work on and I couldn’t stop reading. I definitely shed a tear in this one! Jacob just keeps me coming back to this series. I love how characters from the previous books make an appearance too. So fun to see how everyone is doing. This can definitely be read as a stand-alone but it’s worth it to read this entire series if you’re a sports romance lover!

Piper and Donovan are a perfect match!
These two from the start were just perfect! Sounds like a simple word but after reading their journey that’s the best fit! They challenge one another and don’t take the other’s BS! They are also a better version of themselves together and that’s what I love! I love that they encourage one another to be their best!
Now they had a rough start and I wasn’t sure if Donovan would redeem himself but he really did! Piper is a very strong female character! I loved her strength and her go get them attitude! Just when I think Jacob Chance has delivered his best work, he blows me away again!! He totally raised the bar with this story, It was phenomenal!! Donovan and Piper’s story completely consumed me from the very first page. It was sweet and so heartbreaking. That’s why I believe the message is truly about forgiveness. In this story it works both ways and being able to move on from your past
mistakes. It made me so happy they got there second chance, because they truly belong together.

The Boston Terriers Hockey series has had some really great storylines, from fast and sexy, to slow-burn and hot. Piper and Donovan's story is a hot slow-burn 2nd chance read. The pair meet at 18 in a hockey camp, but at the end of the week, the romance ends, leaving Piper heartbroken. Fast forward 2 years and they are both attending the same university, Donovan is hoping for a 2nd chance, but it is not going to be easy, it will take every bit of patience he has to knock down the walls that piper has built.

Favorite book so far. I loved reading about Donovan and Piper. I was a huge fan of him since reading Nolan's book and was so excited to read this one. I love the competitiveness that is shown by both Donovan and Piper. It was so great reading how she pushes him and is just as strong and competitive as Donovan. She was such a great match for him.

Another great trip around the ice rink with Jacob Chance! This time he gives us men and women's hockey in Tripped.
Donovan and Piper meet at a young age while at an elite youth hockey camp. As young people on the cusp of the rest of their lives they're driven by being the best in their sport and seeking the opportunities that might bring. They quickly fall for each other but Donovan isn't convinced they have enough to sustain it for the long haul and walks away. Years later they meet again at college and Donovan realizes he never got over Piper and regrets walking away immensely. While Piper nurses her grudge, Donovan is determined to prove that although he was the one who broke her heart, he's the only one who can put it back together again as well.
This second chance romance was packed with sweet gestures and reconciliation. Donovan was a player but not when it came to Piper. When he decided to apologize, he was committed to making it right. It wasn't just a "hey I was young and dumb, you should forgive me" he actually tried to see it from her POV. Typical teenage angst. Piper has goals mostly to do with hockey which explains her presence at an exclusive hockey camp during the winter of her senior year. Donovan is the classic hockey boy, cocky, bringing his A game on and off the ice. What was supposed to be a fling turns into sweet teenage love in just a week. Donovan knows the odds are stacked against their relationship so he decided to end it before it affects either of their futures. What he doesn’t know is he didn’t do it soon enough. Fast forward two and half years and they find themselves at college together playing for the women’s and men’s hockey teams respectively. Donovan knows he’s never gotten over Piper, Piper is trying to hold onto her hate. But can their future together survive their past transgressions?

Piper and Donovan’s second chance
This is a sexy sweet story about two hockey players who love the sport . Piper meets Donovan at a hockey camp they have Instant attraction. But she has never really had time for a boyfriend she focus on hockey. Her mother also isn’t a fan of men. So she is trying to make her way through this camp and her attraction to him. Donovan is lucky good family and talented . Also he can’t get Piper out of his head . He doesn’t want a girlfriend but she is girlfriend all over. They share passionate night and he leaves early the next day . Breaking her heart .
Two years later they meet again in Boston they both playing for same college . His attraction still there maybe even more but she is very much still angry/hurt. With lot of reason that come out as the story unfolds. The two learn to accept the past and forgive . This is another amazing story written in the way only Jacob can he knows just how to make you laugh ,cry and even scream. This is a great second chance story with no cheating and only a little drama and a HEA.

I love Jacob Chance's Boston Terriers Hockey series, so I was excited to read the fifth book, Tripped.
This NA romance is a delighted hockey romance. And of course, I am always excited for a sports romance. So yay!
There's an instant attraction between Donovan and Piper. But he's looking for just a hookup as their summer sports camp won't last long. When he finds out she's a virgin, he runs away.
I have to admit that although I enjoy it, I didn't connect with them at first. Things happen so quickly and I never felt the bond between them. But then the camp ends, and gah, I was invested completely. The emotions and pain. Ugh!
And then...yikes.
So basically, I didn't need to connect with them at the start to enjoy this. Rather, once the angst starts, I became addicted and couldn't put it down.
Fast forward a couple years and the two are reunited and might get their second chance.
Oh my god. I love this book! Tripped is a riveting second chance romance. Be sure to check out this Jacob Chance book the next time you're in the mood for a sports romance.

TRIPPED (Boston Terriers Hockey #5) took you on an emotional roller coaster and then put you back together. Piper and Donovan was just emotional, it jumped off the pages at you.
“You’re the only one who's ever mattered and the only one who ever will.”
I wanted more of their happiness and didn’t want the book to end. I hope that we see them again in the future Boston Terriers Hockey Series.

So sweet
Aww I love this book, I adore Piper she's such a awesome character, she's sweet and adorable but focused and strong too. She's been through so much in her young life so far. Piper and Donovan make a great couple they're so cute together. Can't wait to get the epilogue email and I'd love to read more about Rachel and Jeremy there has to be more than the just good friends routine to them.

And it's a GOAL! To me, this was one of Jacob's "softer" books and I was here. For. It! I really enjoyed seeing him tap into a little more of his emotional side with this read. Not to downplay the usual Terrier antics or funny one-liners--don't worry, they're still in there--but I really loved feeling the tears and emotions roll off the pages. Another awesome book read by one of my favorites. Go Terriers Go!

Second chances are the best
Who doesn't love a good second chance story? Thats what I got with Tripped (Boston Terriers Hockey #5). Piper is a sweet, shy hockey player who tries to not fall for Donovan's charms. Donovan is outgoing, charming, hot hockey player who knows what he wants. And he wants Piper at a hockey camp. Things don't go as planned for Piper, and it broke my heart with what she went through, alone. Years later and after hurt feelings and some hate, Piper and Donovan get their second chance when they both run into each other at BTU. There was some tears and lots of smiles while I read this. I loved Piper and Donavan story!

Young love
I absolutely love that there are female hockey players in this latest BTH story and that they are not over-explained or over-sensationalized, they just happen to be a female collegiate hockey team.
Piper and Donovan's love story is well told, from their first meeting at a hockey camp as young teens, experiencing their first love, and the subsequent angst and heartbreak over the years up until they meet again as young adults. The twist in their story is captivating and it is refreshing to see how they've both matured in their time apart.
Definitely a must-read!
