Pretty Perfect Toy...ah, what can I say but holy hell Ms. Payne took me through an angst filled journey. There were moments there where I was holding my mouth saying...oh no, no way, please no, seriously? Come on! Give me what I want! Basically, I flew through rampant emotions until I was straight up scared I was going to toss my Kindle across the room! As you can tell, when reading this series I'm ALL IN!
As with Naughty Little Gift, I was completely immersed in the world the author has created. Usually with a book two I'm worried about it being ho-hum but not so with the second book in the trilogy. So many questions were answered, emotional hell was beaten down, and then hope for more for our duo was achieved. And then the author put the SMACK DOWN! Holy smokes, by the last quarter of the book I was gobbling up each page almost faster than I could click them! I cannot wait. CAN NOT WAIT for the third and final installment! Gimmie gimmie!

Mishella Santelle has definitely fallen under the “Cassian Court Effect” because she can’t get enough of the dynamically bold and incredibly handsome billionaire who is as much a gentleman as he is a cutthroat businessman. Since accepting Cassian’s contract proposal, Mishella has given him every part of herself; she has been completely open and honest with him even though he has kept his secrets and the ghosts who haunt him locked up, refusing to shed light on his demons and the reasons behind them.
But all of that is about to change because Cassian is finally ready to let Mishella in by uncovering what’s hidden in Temptation Manor and the ghosts who deliver him nothing but pain and disappointment. Mishella is his armeau, and even though the truth leads Cassian further into the darkness and causes him to act out, Mishella is worth the searing pain that resurfaces with his secrets.
There is so much information to process and understand in Cassian and Mishella’s second book, which, at times, makes it difficult to wrap my head around everything that is revealed. A lot of the questions from book one are answered, but new ones are formed based on the events in book 2, especially towards the end. The focus on Cassian and Mishella’s relationship and their willingness to try to make things work between them even after their initial contract expires remains at the forefront of the storyline, but there’s also situations that come out of nowhere, leaving me wondering how significant they will be to the hero and heroine��s relationship.
The sexual chemistry between Cassian and Mishella continues to resonate in the story and their connection is definitely explosive as Cassian works through his past; they are essential to one another’s growth, so it will be interesting to see how they cope with all of the new information as well as the situation they find themselves in at the end of Pretty Perfect Toy.

Pretty Perfect Toy picks up where Naught Little Gift left off. It is full of angst, passion, vengeance, betrayal, lies, fear, sex, and at the top-love. This is a wild ride thru Mishella Santelle & Cassian Court forbidden love story This time their love story takes place in New York City and what a charged up ride they take, full of angst, anger, passion, betrayal and lies.
Many times I wanted to chuck my kindle because I was so mad at what was going on but at the same time I couldn’t stop reading. There were so many questions raised in this book and there was a new character introduced that I hope he gets his own book. When you read this book, you will know what I mean. Cassian and Ella made the pages sizzle with their chemistry and how they just interacted on a day to day basis. Then as the book was coming to a close, the action got more intense and fired up quicker than lightning storm. And the ending, wow! What a way to end on a cliffhanger of an ending. It leaves me craving book 3 in the trilogy –I have to say when it comes to Ella and Cassian’s relationship in this book, it was complicated but it was real feeling. Their passion and love comes out and the heat and sexual tension also comes thru the pages. What started off in book 1 as a fairy tale romance is now a relationship that has exceeded everyone’s expectations. I cannot wait for book 3 to find out the answers to all my questions and see how my favorite couple end up.. do they get the fairy tale ending they so richly deserve . Soo cannot wait for book 3.

5.0 Star Review of Pretty Perfect Toy - A Temptation Court Novel (Temptation Court Book 2) by Angel Payne
This is the second book in a spin off series from Angel Payne’s hugely successful, The Cimarron Series. Hailing from the Isle of Arcadia, a kingdom steeped in traditions, sealed off from the modern world. Change is coming to Arcadia and with it are the opportunities for many Arcadians if they dare to spread their wings and venture out into the world.
This book had me riveted from start to finish; what an emotional roller coaster of a ride it was. Ms. Payne managed to shock me on several occasions. As with the first book, Pretty Perfect Toy was extremely well written and I have to say that Cassian and Mishella are even hotter together in this instalment.
As Cassian struggles to move into the light that Ella has brought into his life, you can almost feel his angst. Will they be able to survive Cassian’s past or will it continue to haunt them? What happens when the past catches up to the present?
I am extremely anxious to see how Ms. Payne concludes this storyline. I would suggest that you read Naughty Little Gift first otherwise you will not be able to follow the story as Pretty Perfect Toy takes up where book one left off.

This was another amazing story! With its plot twist and the way it ended so intense, I can not wait to read the next story to find out what happens!

Mishella and Cassian are back and I felt literally thrown right back into the world of their crazy-passion filled lives! Yes, you have to read book one to have this make any sense, so go do so now! In fact, just go read the Cimarron series while you’re at it. This is some of the best #fantasynotfantasy work ever. Mishella and Cassian have already managed so many hurdles in their short time together – insta-love, culture shock, personal demons, family (ug), etc. Writing a review for the middle book in a trilogy is tricky. The synopsis tells you about the story, but the FEELS in this thing have to be experienced! These characters are growing and changing, evolving in front of the reader with each hurdle they overcome, and the impact on their story is palpable. The secrets of Turret Two were going to have to come out and Mishella and Cassian could easily be wrecked permanently by them. You just know they are going to have to deal with the public at some point. The scrutiny of the media and their family as the “contract” looms. This really all falls on Cassian as Mishella is pretty much an open book (at least it seems that way). It feels like his struggle with his past is cutting off the air flow to his future and Mishella can’t do CPR forever! That’s the only way I can describe it. It feels desperate, but if feels hopeful. And my god the sex! It’s not just that scenes are written well, it’s that you (again) feel the connection between these two. You feel that sense of need they have for one another. Nice job on that. It’s freaking hot! Cassian has a wonderfully dirty and deviant streak that Mishella responds to in a beautiful way. And, every way. All the time. Did I mention the sex between these two is inferno like? Mishella still has that innocence of someone foreign to the language and culture, yet she is smart and strong and has great instincts. The small circle of friends and family they have around them provide fun sarcasm and a solid sounding board, but all understand the depth of the struggle going on. If I have any critique of this read, it would be that the ‘twist’ could have come a little sooner and had a little more time spent on it. No spoilers here, but it seemed like it could have been an interesting time with loads of potential for angst and suspense. I would have thought it would have taken more time for some characters to accept the new reality, but it all happened in about 1 ½ chapters. It worked, just really quickly! There is too much to say about this read! The threats are real, the passion is profound, and then there is that pesky little proposal hanging out there…. thank the creator book 3 is right around the corner!

Pretty Perfect Toy is the second novel in the Temptation Court Series a popular spinoff from the Arcadia Series. Once again Angela Payne has taken us into the lives of Cassian Court and Mishella Santelle. PPT is full of everything that I have come to expect from a book by Angel, she certainly knows how to put her reader through a gamut of emotions. I was confronted by fear, sympathy, anger, violence, betrayel and of course the big one LOVE. Yes they are all there present and accounted for, ensuring that I was not going to put this book down until I had finished it.
I thought that the interaction between Cassian and Ella was hot in the first book......boy was I wrong!!! The relationship bewtwwen these two certainly stepped up a notch in this one. They were so hot together that I thought my kindle was going to burn my hand!!! Wow Angel, you certainly know how to write damn sizzling hot scenes!!!!
Cassian's past, in book one, was a mystery. Lily was his wife but why is she no longer around? Why does he not speak of her? What other secrets is he hiding from Ella? Will she discover what is the mystery behind the man? The answers to all these questions are answered in this book - but there is a twist amongst them. Just as Cassian is starting to emerge from his dark world, thanks to Ella's love, he is pushed back in there. How will this affect their relationship?
Ella grows in both maturity and strength in this book. I was pleased to see her become a much stronger woman. She knows what she wants - Cassian - she is determined that she will have him. She wants to be with him longer than the six month contract that was signed - but will he agree to that, or will he want her to leave when the time arrives? Ella has become a lot more determined when dealing with Cassian, she does not let him get away with things that she previously had let him. I love the banter that they both share together.
There is one more book left to read in this seres and that is Bold Beautiful Love. I cannot wait to read this final instalment. I look forward to seeing where Angel takes Cassian and Ella and how the series concludes.

If this is the first book in the series that you have picked up, stop right here and go nab, Naughty Little Gift. Pretty Perfect Toy builds off of the first and you will be very lost without reading them in order. In the PPT, you meet back up with Cassian Court and Mishella Santelle, a great many a thing has happened to them since the cliff hanger of the first book. With their journey continuing, secrets will be unveiled, bonds will be tested, and sanity will be stretched. Will Cassian be able to unburden his heart and let Mishella in 100% or will this last part of him remain forever locked in Turret 2?
Even after being in a whole different country for months no Ella, still feels like an outsider. She has grown closer to so many people that will always be a part of her life. Will she seriously be able to tell everyone good-bye in a few months. With the ever growing home sick feeling, missing her friends and her family, she is tore between the man she loves and the life she left behind. With a bombshell that has been dropped on her world, will everyone in her life still see her the same way?

Ms. Payne didn’t disappoint at all. She not only gave the reader, what they were hoping for, but went above and beyond. Learning that this particular world that Angel has brought to life, was one near and dear to her on a personal level, made reading it all the more enjoyable. I strongly recommend this book, and all those in this series and the series that it was spun off of, The Cimarron Series.

Pretty Perfect Toy picks up a little over a month after the end of Naughty Little Gift. Cassian is recovering from his injuries, but the elephant in the room in the form of Lily's ghost still looms large. He has yet to share his secrets with Mishella and the strain between them is obvious despite his attempts to continue to share the rest of the world with her. When he finally works up the nerve to bring Ella into Turret Two and lays it all out, she is stunned but barely has time to absorb it all before Cassian is overwhelmed and succumbs to the emotional overload of reliving the memories.
Then to make life more interesting, a conniving gossip show host decides Cassian's private life is going to be her stepping stone to fame. Ella's family wastes no time berating her for dishonoring them with her supposed despicable behavior but fortunately they are still far away in Arcadia. Ms. Payne throws a few more twists at us in the closing chapters to set up the final book in their story.
While I still enjoyed this 2nd installment in the Temptation Court series, it wasn’t quite as good as the first book for me. For some reason, Ella's flowery thoughts and speeches got on my nerves this time around as being over the top and unnecessary. Really, I am pretty sure next to no one thinks that way, island upbringing or not. But this could have just been a product of my mood when reading so who knows, it may not bother someone else at all. With that being said, I am still looking forward to the conclusion of their story.

In my review of book one I said "Man if I could make a wish,
I would wish for Arcadia to be a real island". But right now
I am a wreck. This book took me on an emotional journey,
and there was a whole range of happy to sad to angry as
hell. Mt Payne has thrown me into a lockdown; I could not
put this book down. She just locked me in and threw away
the key. And if that is not enough she left me screaming for
more. That next book cannot get here any fast enough.
Cassian and Ella love each other, but man they will have to
walk through hell to get there happily ever after. We do get
answers to a lot of secrets, but they come at a cost.
Sometime life is not fair. And Cassian and Ella are going to
have to learn this. But just when it looks like they will get
their happy life. And I can relax and read the rest. Something
nasty happens and I’m back in that emotional hell with them.
The book opens with a really romantic and out start. And
that is the bait where Angle traps you in the book. So be
prepared to read this book in one sitting. And have the
tissues handy if you’re a crier like me. And just to let you
know I set down after diner to read this. and I finished
reading my copy at 7am the next day.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you
enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book,
please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it
when you do; they value your opinions too.

The book opens with a really romantic and out start. And
that is the bait where Angle traps you in the book. So be
prepared to read this book in one sitting. And have the
tissues handy if you’re a crier like me. And just to let you
know I set down after diner to read this. and I finished
reading my copy at 7am the next day.

*Sighing in abject happiness* There is nothing like getting to read a book from one of your favorite authors, especially when it is one of those books that you just can't put down. Not for dinner, not for sleep, (juuust one more chapter.) not for anything. You get my drift, Pretty Perfect Toy, the second book in the Temptation Court series does it for me.
We revisit one of our favorite couples, Cassian Court, and one of my all-time favorite heroines, Mishella Santelle. Her way of mangling american catch phrases still makes me laugh. (I.e. placing something on the back burner, Ella: Burns his back.
Our story takes place 6 weeks after the shooting in Bryant Park, and poor Ella wants Cas in the worst way. After a very special museum visit, Cas has decided to finally let her in on what has happened to his ex-wife, and the tale of Turret two. You just gotta love an alpha who can show his softer side.
After a harrowing moment for Cassian, the vultures descend, (yup, the press.) and we get to once again see Ella in action as one of the coolest chicks in fiction today. But the fun doesn't stop there, there are more surprises in store, each better than the last, thus proving that Angel Payne is the Queen of Contemporary erotic suspense. She's truly the top in her genre, which is just one of the reasons she's always been on my automatic one-click list.

First let me say that I love this new spinoff series. The characters are unique and well developed. Their love is so powerful it's almost tangible. Things happen that make you think they couldn't possibly make it through that but their bond is seemingly unbreakable.
I think there was way too much self reflection from Cassian and Mishella. The self reflection was so deep and so intense that you almost get lost in their words.
And the plot twist? TOTALLY UNEXPECTED!!!
I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in this fantastic Temptation Court series!

Cassian and Mishella's story continues in Pretty Perfect Toy. They are still discovering their love for each other. Will they survive all the obstacles that get in their way?
I love Cassian and Mishella. They are both very strong characters and easily likeable. I love the sarcasm Cassian has with Scott and Doyle. It makes Cassian a fantastic book boyfriend.
Mishella is still trying to understand the analogies used in the US. When she gets them wrong, it's laugh out loud funny.
The writing is fantastic. I'm pretty sure I increased my vocabulary with the amount of words I looked up. LOL!
Written in both Cassian and Mishella's POV. There is a cliffhanger and fantastic twist! I can't wait for the next book.

Pretty Perfect Toy is the second book in Angel's Temptation Court series and hang on because PPT will take you on one hell of a ride !! It starts off were Naughty Little Gift ends with even more angst, lies, secrets, betrayal, passion, revenge, and love. Cassian & Mishella's bond becomes even stronger when truths about Cassian's past are finally revealed. A new character is introduced near the end and boy do they add a suspenseful twist. The writing in this series is so well done, Angel is able to make you laugh with Mishella's use of Amercian vocabulary, cry from the hurt and fear, swoon from the romance, and over heat from the sex scenes. This is one series you do not want to miss, can't wait for book 3 to see how it all ends. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Good lord! This second part was an emotional roller coaster. I found myself going up, up, and then we took the plunge. Im not surprised by this I wouldn't have expected anything less. I highly recommend you read Naughty little gift because it sets the stage. I was and still am completely caught up in this web and now left anxiously awaiting part 3 for the final installment. This book is so damn good. Everyone needs to read this series. I was so shocked to find out Cassians wife had killed herself and the baby. He has been through so much. Ella is like his rock and helps him through everytime. I was stunned to fine out his brother Damon was still alive. This story keeps getting better by the second. My god Angel is a very brilllant. I cant put this Into words really. I am starting Bold Beautiful Love now. )

Holy hotness! Cassian finally shares his heartbreaking past, and one part of it shows up to enlist Mishella's help. Love this series. Love that she is so strong and calls him on his BS and helps him to work through his past so they can have a future.

Just when I think that it doesn’t get better, it does! Angel Payne puts forth yet another “WOWZER” of a novel! This book blew my mind so hard that I had to stop, take a break, then go back and reread from the beginning. Pretty Perfect Toy is so much more than the title suggests.

The injury recovery has to take time away what Cassian designated for himself to enjoy Ella, but he, of course, as an Alpha male chooses to go against doctor’s orders. With a woman like Ella by his side, can we really blame him?
When Ella finds herself becoming a fascinating new toy in New York due to her relationship with Cassian, she becomes the voice of reason when things spiral out of control. Then, a shocking new twist spins her in and out of the world she was becoming accustomed to. She’s forced to think on her feet even though it is breaking her heart. This was the part that had me going, “No f****** way! Holy sh**!” I’d keep going with my reaction, but I am afraid that I’ll give more away. You need to read the book!
