Tempting Little Tease

She’s a temptation I just can’t resist…

My business is security. I protect other people—sometimes at my own expense.
It’s the only way to explain how I got talked into playing fake fiancé for my best friend’s little sister.

Now I’m seeing little Samantha Watson through new eyes. Instead of the little girl I used to tease, I’m up close and personal with a stunning woman whose curves and heat and heart-stopping smile rocket straight to my heart, not to mention parts south.

I’ve never minded going above and beyond for a job. Except playing the smitten lover doesn’t feel like acting anymore.

Despite all my experience, I’m the one who forgot to secure my heart.
The only rule for this job was to walk away at the end.

But maybe this time—for the first time—I’m going to break the rules.

We're back with the Blackwell-Lyon Security guys in Austin.

Leo just accepted a 'job' from his childhood best friend. Taking his little sister Sam to a wedding. Her ex will be there too and she needs a fake fiancé to feel better about the whole thing.

Leo always liked Sam as kids, but she's so not a teenager anymore! She's a beautiful woman and this weekend at that location wedding will be hell - because he promised her brother that nothing would happen between them.

Let the fun times begin ....

Sam and Leo.

Adorable!!!

Poor Leo promised his buddy that he would just be a fake fiancé to help Sam. But the fake went out the window as soon as he saw her for the first time after all these years. He should've declined that job! But now he's here and it's so cute to watch him not fall for her - while still being convincing as her fiancé. I just adored that wedding weekend!

We even get a bit of slightly criminal excitement!

Cute little romance! I liked reading it!

These four books were all pretty good - too short, but a really cute little romance is much better than a boring long one! ☺

TEMPTING LITTLE TEASE was a fun & adorable little love story! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Leo - this one is MINE! ☺

Well, damn... This is the first book in this series that I have read and it is a novella. It was short, but yet the author still managed to pack as much as she could into this little gem. I am not new to J. Kenner's books, but it has been a while since I dove into a book by her and now I am kicking myself. I have missed her books, her writing style and her ability to make you swoon, fall in love with each and every character and become addicted to her words. This book was a fantastic push to get me to start reading her books again. '

What starts out as a fake relationship between Leo and Samantha turns in to much much much more than they both expected. These two have known each other for a while, and Leo always looked at Samantha as his friends little sister, but after they fake a relationship and are at a friend wedding, he starts to see her in a whole different way then what they agreed on, but if he crosses that line, will it ruin their long-lasting friendship or will it be the best thing to happen to them both? Will Leo risk it his friendship with Samantha for his own happiness?

The chemistry between these two is on fire, little kindle meltingly hot and the sexual tension between the two is enough to have you going crazy for these two. I cheered them on from the start, you could feel the love, lust, passion, and heat between the two and I shouldn't be surprised. This is what the author does, and is known for. He heated, addictive plots that leave you craving more and Tempting Little Tease was no different.

However, my complaint is that there needs to be more to their story. I want more. I am craving more. These two were amazing together. I WANT MORE!!

Ms. Kenner weaved her magic and delivered a short, quick but extremely enjoyable novella that I promise you will have you wanting more!

5 Stars!

ARC received for an honest review

I am so out of the J Kenner/Blackwell-Lyon loop these days - so many books, so little time and all that.

However I eagerly dove into Tempting Little Tease and completely and utterly enjoyed it.

I love a bit of best friend's "little" sister action. I love the fake relationship thing - I mean, we all know that the fake stuff isn't going to last, right?

You can feel the attraction between Leo and Sam. The sexual tension leaps off the pages - helllllooooo pheremones!

This was a fun, flirty short story that I wanted more of!

Tempting Little Tease by J. Kenner is book 4 in the Blackwell-Lyon Series. This is the story of Leo and Samantha. I have read the previous books in this series, but feel you could make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Leo's best friend Brody has asked him to be a fake fiancé to Brody's sister Samantha when she attend an event that Samantha's Ex boyfriend will be at. Leo has a security business which adds to the favor. What Leo remembers of Samantha is not what he is seeing in the grown up beautiful women. Trying to keep it all business and walking away doesn't seem to be something he can do.
Hot enjoyable read from Ms. Kenner...loved it.

5 Star Review Tempting Little Tease (Blackwell-Lyon #4) by J Kenner

This was a fast quick novella that had me hooked from the start to finish; my only complaint, and it’s not really a complaint is that I would have loved the story to be longer.

I really loved the characters of Leo and Samantha and the secondary characters were just as entertaining. It was also great to see some familiar faces popping up.

What happens when fake suddenly becomes oh so real? Will Leo be prepared to cross the invisible line of friendship? Or will he retreat and in doing so lose his chance at happiness?

Neither of them can deny the sizzling chemistry that sparks between them but is it enough to take the leap?

This may not be a long book but it is well written and Ms. Kenner certainly packs a lot into it.

One click this one, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Tempting Little Tease by J. Kenner is the 4th book in her Blackwell-Lyon series and can be read as a standalone. This was a brother’s best friend romance that was a quick, sweet and steamy read. Leo’s best friend, Brody, asks him to help his sister by being her fake-fiancé for a wedding where her ex will be attending. Easy enough, for the little sister he remembers, until he actually sees her and the woman she has become. Sam has always been attracted to Leo, could this finally be her chance with him? Though he tries to keep her at arm’s length, their attraction is strong and undeniable.

Happy reading.

•••••••••

REVIEW: TEMPTING LITTLE TEASE is the fourth instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult BLACKWELL-LYON erotic, romance series focusing on the men and women who work for Blackwell-Lyon Security. This is security specialist Leonardo ‘Leo’ Palermo, and technology developer Samantha Watson’s story line. TEMPTING LITTLE TEASE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from first person perspective (Leo Palermo) TEMPTING LITTLE TEASE follows the best friend’s little sister/fake fiancé relationship between security specialist Leonardo ‘Leo’ Palermo, and Samantha Watson. With the approach of her best friend’s wedding Samantha Watson needs a date for the destination wedding, a wedding where her ex-boyfriend Reg is the cousin of the bride. Enter security specialist Leonardo ‘Leo’ Palermo, Samantha’s brother Brody’s best friend, and the man with whom Samantha has loved for most of her life. Hoping to distract her ex at the upcoming wedding, Samantha makes Leo an offer he cannot refuse. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Leo and Sam, and the potential fall-out as their time together comes with an expiry date.

Samantha ‘Sam’ Watson has been in love with her brother’s best friend for most of her life but Leo only saw Sam as Brody’s little sister, a woman off limits in more ways than one. Leo knows that to get involved with Samantha Watson could ruin his friendship with Brody Carrington, a friendship he is willing to risk when he falls in love with our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and steamy, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters include Sam’s step-brother Brody Carrington, Conor Lyon (Sexy Little Sinner), Cayden Lyon (Pretty Little Player), as well as Sam’s best friend Cherry (the bride), and Sam’s ex boyfriend Reg Thorne.

TEMPTING LITTLE TEASE is a story of family, friendship, betrayal and revenge. The premise is engaging and light; the characters are colorful and energetic; the quick building romance is seductive and passionate.

J. Kenner’s latest release, Tempting Little Tease, is a brother’s best friend, fake fiancé romance, and because it’s a quick read, the timetable is definitely sped up, which actually makes sense given the fact that the hero and heroine already know one another, and even though Leo Palermo hasn’t seen Samantha Watson, his best friend’s little sister, since her senior year of high school, she’s still the same sweet and sassy girl; she now just has a rocking body and a whole lot of sex appeal that makes Leo want to go against his promise and see exactly what he and Sam could have.

I’ve read quite a few books that focus on a fake relationship, and I’m always interested in how each one changes to something real, and while sometimes it happens a bit too quickly, especially when they’re complete strangers when they begin, the fact that Leo and Sam know each other and share a past works in their favor and allows readers to buy into their sizzling connection and the sexual tension that surrounds them until they finally have no choice but to give in to what they want.

As the title suggests, Sam is quite the temptation and because she’s not afraid to say what she wants and put herself out there when it comes to her feelings for Leo, he needs to decide how far to cross the line and what that means for his future relationship with Sam as well as with her brother.

Leo will do anything to help out his best friend, Brody. Including pretending to be the fake fiancé of his little sister, Sam. Little does he know how much Sam has changed over the years. Will he be able to keep his promise to his friend?

I love Sam and Leo’s story. They were adorable together, I loved their history together. I loved watching him try not to fall for Sam, all while pretending to be engaged to her. The entire wedding weekend was so much fun to read. Their chemistry and their banter together was great. The little tidbits we got from characters of the previous books in this series was also a perfect addition.

This story is strictly from Leo’s POV and at times I wish we got some of Sam’s perspective to what was going on in the story and with their fake relationship.

This entire series is fantastic. These stories are on the shorter side but are packing the romance and the steam. Definitely ones to check out!

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

The latest book to the Blackwell-Lyon series delivers a lot of hotness and some fun/sexy times as well! What's that old saying - a lot of heat packed into short package? Well, this package can't help but deliver!

Leo is helping his best friends little sister Sam out. She's attending a wedding and needs someone to pose as her fake fiance. Neither one expects this purely platonic relationship to turn real, but what happens when all those latent sexy feeling become real? Add in a a game of truth of dare (with alcohol) and things quickly progress to the point that lines gets blurred and friendships are put to the test.

Can what happens in Fredericksburg actually stays in Fredericksburg? Or will fiction find a way to give life the real deal?

Short, sweet and definitely worth an afternoon or two to read. Just make sure to a cool shower afterward.

Great fun.
Leo grew up with his best friend, and his little sister Sam was a regular companion and friend to them both as they grew. When he’s asked to pose as Sam’s fake fiancé, to a wedding, as her ex will be going too, he agrees.

As kids, Leo always liked Sam, she was a little geeky but fun to be with. But wow, she sure wasn’t a kid any more. They hadn’t seen each other for quite a few years and Sam had certainly blossomed into a beautiful women and he could now see keeping their fake relationship platonic was going to be the hardest thing he has ever done. Plus he doesn’t want to lose a friend.

Lots of giggles and banter. Liked the characters, Leo was a real trooper.

How can you go wrong with a romance that has two popular tropes: fake engagement and best friend’s little sister? Especially if it’s written by J. Kenner with the charming characters and flirty, sexy bantering she’s known for.

Tempting Little Tease was a pleasure to read, from beginning to end. I had such fun with Leo and Samantha and thought they were an adorable couple who had tons of yummy chemistry right away. Where this was a shortish full-length novel, I thought it worked well that they already had some history so it didn’t seem like things were rushed between them. Read More

If I'm being completely honest about my rating, I wanted to give it 3 stars but its J. Kenner so I couldn't do that. This short story came off a little elementary to me. Like it was literally thrown together by a new writer. I had an ARC preread and it has some errors but that's not even what got me. The story was just... blah! It was literally just okay. It was just enough of an entertainment to let me finish the book but I'm not affected by it.

I have enjoyed the series so far. this book was pretty short, sweet and very fast paced but it was enjoyable.

Sam needed a favor from her bothers best friend, who happens to be her hero and secret crush. Leo made a pack to his best friend and his sister to always be there for Sam if her bother wouldn’t be! And that’s what he does, he plays a role for her. But playing a role quickly back fires on them both.

I was hooked and loved these characters. I especially loved how pass characters pop up. A quick, short read to enjoy.

When Leo’s best friend Brody enlisted Leo to help his little sister, Samantha (Sam) out by playing her fake fiancé, Leo got a lot more than he bargained for. She’s not the gawky teenager he remembers. She’s a stunning woman with curves and a heart-stopping smile that he’s finding hard to forget. Will Leo be able to play this role without breaking the rules or will Samantha’s proposition be too hard for him to resist?

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Leo has been living his life without attachment. Now that his friends have started to settle down, he’s finally seeing what he is missing. One-night stands have lost the appeal they once had. Leo wants something more in his life but he isn’t quite sure what he wants. Life in the military and seeing what Brody went through has left him a little weary. His alpha male side is usually takes charge, so when Samantha comes clean about why she really wanted him to be her fake fiancé, he has a hard time finding a reason to turn her down. Leo knows is breaking the most important rule set by his best friend, but he can’t bring himself to say no. She has awaken things in him he never felt before. She could very well be the one and he’s not sure what to do.

Leo and Sam may have known each other for a long time but it’s been years since they saw each other. When Leo agrees to help out he only remember what she was like then, not thinking of what she has become now. When Leo sees her for the first time, he realizes that this role he’s playing just got a whole lot harder. How was he going to keep things platonic when his mind keeps going to where is shouldn’t be? When Leo is with her, the energy round them crackles. They have an undeniable chemistry, making it easy for others to believe that they are truly together. Leo knows what’s going on between them but with Sam not revealing how she’s feeling, he isn’t confident that she is feeling the same way.

One thing I learned while reading Julie’s books, is that she never disappoints her readers. She bring her characters to life in ways no one else has. Julie is truly a gifted writer. As a reader, there isn’t a time when I haven’t felt connected to the character. I found myself drawn into the story and felt like I was a part of it. I loved that the entire book was from Leo’s point of view. Seeing how the male mind works gives a fresh view on a love story. I haven’t read the other books in this series but after reading this book it’s made me want going back and read the whole series from beginning to end.

Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There is this interesting phenomenon with J. Kenner’s story universe. There is such a juxtaposition of storytelling that, quite frankly, there is a little something for everyone. At the heart of her storytelling universe is Damien and Nikki Stark, the stars of The Stark series. These are edgy, angsty, and $exy. Personally, I ate those books up. I binge-read Damien and Nikki’s series in a week, and I was hooked to J. Kenner.

Within that Stark Universe are so many other fantastic stories from the periphery characters, one of the series being the Blackwell-Lyon Security series. This series is “day” to Damien and Nikki’s “night.” These books follow the main guys of the Blackwell-Lyon Security group, and while, seemingly, filled with some angst, these are really more beach reads.

J. Kenner’s newest offering from that series is Tempting Little Tease. This book tells the story of Leo and Samantha. Samantha is Leo’s best friend, Brody’s, sister. Growing up, Samantha was always near Leo and Brody, even though she was not always intentionally included. To Leo, Samantha is still a young woman, until he realizes she isn’t. Brody asks Leo to accompany Samantha to her friend’s wedding in order to make Samantha’s ex-boyfriend jealous. Leo’s intention initially is tame. However, Leo’s draw to Samantha is too great, and he fights his attraction and interest in Samantha. It also doesn’t help that Samantha seems to be affected by Leo. Will Leo restrain himself, or will he and Samantha find a future together?

To me, Tempting Little Tease is a great little beach read. First of all, it’s a quick read. I started and finished it in a couple of hours. It’s engaging, and the story pulls you through to the end. There is more to the story than the simple trope of falling for the best friend’s sister. There is also a corporate espionage storyline that I think adds to the romance. It’s simply a story that keeps you reading.

As characters, Leo and Samantha are interesting. When they finally acknowledge their attraction, they are hot and steamy together. Kenner writes their chemistry off the page. I don’t think they are meant to be highly developed characters, so if you’re looking for depth, Samantha and Leo aren’t your characters.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book especially if you’re a J. Kenner fan like me. This is the type of book to read on a lazy Sunday afternoon, sitting out in the sun with a tall drink or two. You can never be disappointed in reading a J. Kenner book like Tempting Little Tease.

Need a wild, steamy and passionate story to heat up your body and mind? Tempting Little Tease by J.Kenner is perfect for you! This story packed so much heat and emotions with the touch of forbidden pleasure in true J.Kenner style.

Leo has always looked at Sam as his best friend's little sister. Someone to be protected, to be cared and completely off limits. But things are about to get very complicated when his best friend asks him to accompany Sam to a wedding as fake boyfriend. Leo is in specialised security services and it should have been a piece of cake. But Sam has grown up into a gorgeous, sexy, sassy and intelligent woman. And he can't help but feel attracted to her beauty and heart. But Sam is in a tiny bit of trouble and that isn't only about her fantasies of Leo.

I loved the chemistry between Sam and Leo. It is a shorter length novel but J.Kenner gave me the whole experience. The electrifying vibe. The push and pull. The scorching hot passion. The emotions running deeper than the bodily love. Leo is the perfect alpha who protected Sam from everything. And I loved how Sam didn't just melt under his charm even when she has a huge crush on him forever. The story has a great compact storyline that had everything.

Tempting Little Tease was a brilliant combination of sexy, sweet and intense. I cannot get enough of J.Kenner's flawless and captivating writing.

Tempting Little Tease
Blackwell-Lyon #4
J. Kenner
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟

This is hot and sexy little story guaranteed to keep you reading. Let the warning be known sit down in one session to read it because one you start you won’t want to stop. Leo and Sam are long time friends, but you know the rule, no dating, sleeping, or f#*king with best mates sisters, yeah… that might be harder than Leo anticipated when Sam is no longer the gangly uncoordinated teenager, now she’s grown up, sexy as sin and about to Leo’s fake fiancé for an upcoming wedding.

With all the warnings from her brother, Brady, Leo thinks this will be easy paid for weekend, be the doting fiancé, eat up, drink up… you know the drill. What he didn’t anticipate was Samantha to be very open with dressing in front of him. Like all in.. See Leo isn’t the only one on struggle street, Sam has lusted over Leo since she was a young girl. He was her ultimate crush and now she had he weekend to get him out of her system, once and for all.

Along with their paraded weekend to make her ex boyfriend jealous, there’s another side story that takes a turn you won’t want to miss. All coming to an expensive end… trust me you’ll want to know who, why and when… Leo and Sam make a great couple and when they both discover a weekend bender leaves them wanting more, both will have to face the truth.

I’ve read several J. Kenner novels, that I all loved. So when I saw the sign up for the blog tour of this novella, I didn’t hesitate at all and signed up. And I was super excited when I received a review copy. Although ‘Tempting Little Tease’ is the fourth book in the Blackwell-Lyon series it can be read as a standalone.

Between renovating our home, work and spending time with my little girl this novella was the perfect book for me to read. I was looking for a little distraction but nothing to complicated. And ‘Tempting Little Tease’ definitely was perfect for that. In this book we meet Leo and Samantha. Leo works in security and is at the start of his break when his best friend asks him for a favor. Before Leo can really think things through, he agrees on being his best friends little sister fake fiancé. Things are perfectly clear. He will be her fake fiancé, and definitely nothing more. But Leo didn’t expect to see Samantha all stunning and grown up.

Things in ‘Tempting Little Tease’ definitely go very fast. And normally I really don’t like ‘rushed’ romance stories. But there was just something about this read that definitely made me love it. Leo and Samantha’s characters where really fun. And I enjoyed reading about there chemistry. I didn’t get the whole ‘fake’ fiancé bit, especially since it was supposedly Samantha best friend who got married. I mean, how would her best friend not know about a fiancé? But since this was a very short novella, it didn’t bother me too much.

This was the first book in the Blackwell-Lyon series that I read, and I didn’t feel like I missed stuff at all. So this book is perfect as a standalone as well.

Yes, if you are looking for a fun, romantic, sexy read with not to much complicated stuff.. ‘Tempting Little Tease’ is definitely for you.

This is the fourth book in the Blackwell-Lyon series and this is Leo and Samantha’s story. It can be read as a standalone as the pertinent information is included so that the reader understands who the other characters are. This is a combination of falling for brother’s best friend and fake fiancé storyline told with a flair that only Ms. Kenner is able to weave. Samantha is off to her best friend’s wedding but she has two little problems….no escort and her ex is the cousin of the bride. Leo, is Samantha’s brother Brody’s best friend and the person that Samantha has loved for her entire life. Will Leo agree to attend? Samantha makes him an offer that he just cannot refuse. Although Leo knows he needs to keep his distance from Samantha, as Brody will kill him, he cannot resist the pull of the attraction he feels for her. Will Leo act on his feelings? Will Leo risk his friendship with Brody? This is one engaging storyline filled with loveable characters, passion, steam, betrayal, revenge and the love of family. My only comment is that I would have liked more to their story. This is one book that will leave you wanting more. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

This is such a quick, hot and steamy read. Leo agrees to help his best friend's sister, Sam, out with a situation. The situation is to pretend to be Sam's fiance while attending the wedding of Sam's best friend for an entire weekend. The pretense is to make Sam's ex-fiance jealous since he is the cousin of the bride.

Leo has always looked at Sam's as a little sister but when he sees her again after so many years, he realizes the Sam has grown into a beautiful woman. A beautiful woman that his is very attracted to but he will not break the bro code by sleeping with his best friend's sister. Sam, of course, has always had a crush on Leo and figure this weekend is her chance to show him how attracted to him she is and see where it could lead.

It's fun to watch Sam try to seduce Leo and how Leo finally justifies getting hot and heavy with Sam! These 2 are such a great couple who loves to have fun and do some interesting things. And when Leo finds out that Sam has another ulterior motive to attend the wedding, he busts her until he finds out the whole story and then decides to help her.

I love this story because it was a quick but steamy and sexy read. It's great to see a couple who loves to have fun with each other!

Sometimes the things we really really want but can't have are the things we actually need.

LOL! A little tease for the Tempting Little Tease.
A friends to lover book that will have you swooning.
Leo= One very hot man who provides security yet for his friend he becomes her fake fiance.
Samantha-has an agenda. To show up with a very sexy Leo playing her fiance while shoving in her cheating ex's face.
Simple...right?
Well not exactly because J. Kenner has given us a great deal of heat between her main characters but there is much more to the story than just that.
A douche for an ex, a secret behind the secret and a chemistry that can melt metal are just a few elements in a well written story.
Honestly once I began reading J. Kenner I found myself captivated my her ability to hit the target with every single book of hers I have read.
This one may have been short but it was outstanding!
Great characters, a winding path of suspense, with great detail and a complete and satisfying ending. Oh....I can't wait for the next book. Want to know who it's gonna be?
Hint: You'll get your answer at the end of this one. ENJOY!

5 When A Fake Relationship Becomes So Much More Stars!!!

While this was definitely a quick read it definitely didn’t lack in heat or story. Sam has had a pseudo-crush on Leo for quite a while and when her older brother asks Leo to escort his younger sister to a wedding he thinks he’ll get out unscathed because, well, he promised he wouldn’t seduce her… Sam on the other hand took total and complete advantage of them being together and I FREAKING LOVED IT!!!

Leo is the perfect man for this girl because she needs someone that sees how beautiful she is inside and out and that she has so much to offer. She’s always been Brody’s little sister and now she’s not so little in all the ways that count. Seeing this man fall and fall hard brought a huge smile to my face… because explain that to your best friend!!!

Ms. Kenner has done such a great job of writing a story that kept me engaged with the characters while also needing to fan myself because their chemistry is through the roof. I’m in love with the way Leo loves her and makes her so happy. This book is a great addition to the Blackwell-Lyon series!

‘Tempting Little Tease’ is the latest book by Julie Kenner and the fourth book in the Blackwell-Lyon series. The book is about Leo, and how he is forced into playing the role of ‘fiancé’ for his best friends little sister so she can save face against her ex at a wedding. But no matter how much he tries to stick to playing his role and taking his job seriously, Leo finds Samantha a bit too tempting.

Samantha is determined to make things as difficult as possible, testing Leo as much as possible and attempting to twist the promise he’s made to her brother to suit herself. But what happens when the game is over? And what happens when the role of fake fiancé, starts forcing hidden feelings to the surface?

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I did enjoy it. I find Kenner’s books easy to read and they always have a good hook and flow to them. It was a great addition to an already addictive series, and good to see updates on other characters that we have come to know.

Ideal for people who like to dabble between sweet and hot romance and someone looking for a new series to get stuck into.

Sam and Leo have known each other since forever, but it’s been a while since they last saw one another. Leo is in need of a break, and his timing couldn’t be better. A favor for a friend can end up being one of the best decisions he has ever made.

Sam has a plan and she needs Leo’s help. Is she holding back information? Yes, but he doesn’t need to know everything does he?

Being so close to her might be harder than he expected it to be, resisting her is turning out to be a full time job. Fulfilling a promise to his best friend against giving into temptation… what will win?

Truth or dare game and a few drinks might be just what the doctor ordered.

Funny short and fast paced story you don’t want to miss. The chemistry between the characters is amazing and it keeps us at the edge of our seat the whole time.

Can you love someone since forever and never realize about it?

This novella is a combined Best Friend's Little Sister and Fake Fiancee trope providing double the angst and laughs! Our Hero, Leo, agrees to escort his best friend's little sister, Samantha, to her friend's destination wedding, which will seem like an "all expense paid getaway weekend". He later finds out that her ex and his new fiancee will also be in attendance since he's the bride's cousin. This means Sam has to up the relationship level of her date to fiance status. After promising to his best friend that he would not make a pass at Sam, Leo convinces himself that he can hide his growing attraction to her as long as he keeps his distance. He does a fairly decent job until Sam takes her friendly, teasing, flirtatious comments to seduction level actions, and we watch Leo's good intentions crumble. Not only do they crumble, but he then takes his sexy fiance duties very seriously, even when Sam's ex is no where around! Sam's also been keeping a little secret from him, which suddenly takes on a life of its own! Loved these two!

Entertaining and sensual. This series about the men at the Blackwell-Lyon security firm is very appealing to me. Leo's story has to do with meaningful relationships and disappointing his friend.

A male point of view is always a treat. We get to see his inner struggle as he fights a forbidden attraction towards his friend's little sister. Leo is tired of meaningless hook-ups, but his powerful chemistry with Samantha erodes most of his convictions. I liked the setting at a wedding venue for a weekend. The scenes were well developed where this fake couple gets closer over talks, good memories and wild desire. They certainly add a new meaning to school games 😁

There's also a little plot twist which involved this man's skills at the end before they claim their happily ever after. I thought it was too soon when he said the coveted I Love You, but the rest of the story felt very natural and fluid. Not my favourite in the series, but still very entertaining.
