WOW The beginning of Home was such an amazing story that had me from the first page and stayed with me till the very end .This would be the first book that I've read by Krista Sandor and of the Langley park series from my experience it can be read as a standalone with out any confusion but couples from the past two book do make some appearances . This is a second chance romance and my heart really broke for these two even though they were faced with such great pain I think they need that separation to grow and experience the things they went through . The chemistry between the couple was off the charts HOT the sex scenes were super intense . Can't wait to read more by the author and more of this series .

What a story of survival and rediscovering who you are....for Lindsey, ugh!, this poor woman!!! She had been through so much and needed to find out who she was.

Nick comes back into her life when she is at her lowest; he doesn’t “recognize” her, she’s not the same Lindsey he knew years ago.

Great second chance story of a woman lost and the man there beside her.

A real tear jerker for me. Books with abuse always makes my cry and tugs at my heartstrings. Young love that is so deep that even in adulthood that love is still present. Lindsey and Nick were meant to be together. Their story was a very emotional read for me however I am going to read this book over again because it was that amazing. Hats off to the author, you have written a fantastic book that leaves your readers wanting more and not afraid to come back for it. Highly recommended.

I don’t even know where to start, except to say that this book blew me the hell away. I don’t know how Krista does it, but she has me under her spell of heart-breaking characters who find love with all the odds and history stacked against them. I didn’t think Krista could top Em and Michael....WRONG. Topped!!!!

Lindsey Hanlon first met Nick Kincade at a summer camp in Langley Park. However, while Lindsey was smiling and happy, Nick was brooding and not in the mood to make friends, long lasting or temporary. Though things start change after sharing a bus ride and a quick shut eye power nap. After arriving at a new camp Nick and Lindsey realize that they may have more in common than they initial thought. Since they serve as counselors and have to do a walk around the camp at 3 am to make sure no campers are out of bed. They start to fall for one another after sharing a kiss on “Rachel and Rory’s rock”. Nick will leave a little sunflower near Lindsey’s cabin which she puts in her hair for the day. Making Rachel feel more closer to Nick and like him that much more.

“He’s like a southern version of Brad Pitt and Justin Timberlake’s six-foot-four-inch love child. He’s like all the hotness of Baywatch crammed into one guy.”

On their last night at Camp Clemens they share a passionate night. Only to have been separated due to their counselor duties the next day. Nick has to leave abruptly and when Lindsey goes looking for him, she is given a letter addressed to her that forever guts her.

Fast forward 16 years and Lindsey is back in Langley Park, but not because of love, but from fear for her life. Being that her godmother is Miss G, she moves into the house next door to Em and Michael. To her surprise Nick is there and good friends with her new neighbors.

Nick is back in Langley Park to put down roots. After getting a job as the new Director of Aviation he is determined to show Lindsey he isn’t going anywhere ever again. He wants nothing more than to make things right with the one person he has ever loved and been loved by. Though Lindsey isn’t the same girl he met at camp. Nick soon realizes that Lindsey’s past is after her and she is harboring a secret that could tear them apart forever or bring them even closer.

Will Nick be able to keep Lindsey safe? Will Lindsey be able to tell Nick the truth about her secret baggage? Can Lindsey love the first boy who broke her heart? Will Nick be able to not let who his father was dictate who he would be as a man?

Blow away...that is what I am. Krista is a special type of author who has the ability to make you keep coming back for more, but also the ability to write new stories that don’t sound like the same old story over and over again. I love how each of her characters are different and different things have happened to them during their short lives. Though if I am being honest....I actually didn’t like Nick at first. Strictly because I was afraid that he was going to take Jenna away from Ben. Being truthful here. So, I didn’t have the highest hopes for liking Nick, but Krista made me fall for him.

I loved the slow build up and the suspense as to what was going on at Camp Clemens all those years after they left. Plus running into old friends and campers was heartwarming. I also love how Krista can make me fall in love with cliff hangers. Though these are the good kind of cliff hangers. Can’t wait to see what happens to the next couple and hear more about Kate, little Skylar and Billy.

16 years ago Lindsey Hanlon went to Camp Clemens and fell in love with Nick Kincade but she left that summer with her heart broken.

Now she is escaping from Texas and her ex-fiance Brett Matthews and returning to Langley Park where she once felt safe and the only place Brett doesn't know about. Yet nothing prepares her for seeing Nick again and the memories it brings back.

Nick is now a pilot and is shocked to see Lindsey again and the shell of the person he remembers. He can tell how much pain she is and knows he must work at gaining her trust back.

As Lindsey and Nick come to terms with their past will Lindsey's immediate past come back to disrupt any chance of happiness?

This is another great book in the series and I really enjoyed it!

My heart broke for both Lindsey and Nick after camp and how everything ended unintentionally but I completely understood why Nick had to leave.

I was shocked a little at how Lindsey ended up in the situation she was in but I gave her so much credit for finally being able to escape from Brett. I was glad that she still had her godmother, Rosemary Giacopazzi, to help her get settled in Langley Park.

Nick had endured his own difficulties growing up and I was proud of him for following his dream and becoming a pilot. I liked that he took it further when he realized he wanted a home base now that he was getting older.

It was obvious how much Nick still cared about Lindsey from the moment he saw her. I liked that they began friends again and things progressed but I wasn't surprised at Nick's reaction when he discovered her secret. I was extremely happy when they worked through it all and where things were headed.

Things started getting intense beginning at the airport and I knew what was coming but I had no idea how everything was going to go down! I loved how it was revealed on why Brett knew so much as I wasn't expecting that at all!

The end was so intense and gripping!! I loved how it all went down and I liked how Lindsey found strength in herself!

The epilogue was great and I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

I am kind of writing a lump review, 'cause i was so super lucky to find this author and be gifted this books for an honest review, right off i am amazed by the book covers. u can read them on KU. I love how u r hopping around instagram and u find new authors ... so many great folks out there. hello!! love that. each book is a standalone, but i enjoyed reading them all together. Love this Langley Park series. Now to know Beth's most faves .. I enjoy The Measure of Home, The Road Home, The Sound of Home and finally The Beginning of Home. Now please don't get me wrong, i enjoyed them all but we are all human picking faves is easy and just how our mind works, right?? i mean parents do it all the time, u know u do ... i know my parents have their faves. it is just human nature. what i enjoy about Krista Sandor ...her writing abilites, there are bits of a mysterious nature, humor, lust, love, romance ... it is a real smorgasbord of goodness ... i really enjoyed the chance to totally let go and immerse myself in her writing. thankfully i could do that with these 4 amazing reads ...not like some who have had to wait to read more from Krista ... who likes waiting?? certainly not me. if you enjoy a bit of the details u will love reading them all but as u know they are standalones. enjoy!

*** Received an ARC through Booksprout for an honest review.***

Nick and Lindsey officially met on camp, they were both camp Counselors at the age of 16. They shared a few special moments at the camp and for these few days together they grew very close (or so Lindsey thought). Then all those feelings went up in smoke when Nick was whisked away by his parents and would not see Lindsey again. She received a letter that broke her heart into pieces and was torn with the idea of not seeing him again.

Sixteen years later .............. Lindsey had to get away from an abusive fiance. She ran when she had the change to get away and ended up in her hometown where her godmother lived. This is where she ran into Nick again after so long. What will happen between them? Then there is also the matter where she has a big secret that only very few people close to her know about. What will Nick do when he finds out about it? There is also the question regarding her ex whether he will eventually find her or not?

This was one nail biting, sit on the edge of your seat type of romance with a possible second chance between two people who loved each other for so long.

This was my first read from this author but definitely not my last.

I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers.

“This is just the beginning....”

This book takes you on a journey. A journey of self discovery and healing. We are first introduced to Lindsey and Nick when they are 16 years old. They are both camp counselors for the summer. Lindsey is a jovial, sweet and compassionate girl while Nick on the other hand is silent, broody and he keeps to himself. Lindsey brings out the soft mushy side of him and they fall in love in a short period of time. They get separated and meet each other after 16 years. Lindsey is no longer the same. She has been in a world of hurt and ran away from the cause of her troubles. She goes back to the one place she was truly happy, Langley Park. Her chance encounter with Nick leaves her shaken up and she tries to keep him at arms length but he is her first love. Nick on the other hand never stopped loving Lindsey. No woman could compare to her. He knows she is running from something but the what is killing him. He will whatever it takes to protect her.

Their love for each other withstood time, distance and separation. They finally found their way back to each other. They found their way home.

This series just keeps getting more amazing with each book. In this book we have Lindsay and Nick (I totally call dibs on Nick) they meet one summer as camp junior counselors and at first they keep away from each other but grow closer while away at sleepover camp. Some things happen that are out of both their control and they go separate ways not because they want to but they had to and they have their hearts broken. See they find that once in a lifetime love even though they are young it’s a true love so it’s heartbreaking the way they have to go years without each other. Not to spoil anything but Lindsay has some things she is running from and ends up right back where it all started and of course runs into Nick. Nick is an amazing sweetheart who is protective of those he loves and loves hard. Lindsay may not know it yet but she is strong and resilient. This story had it all and had me emotional but it was a great kind of emotional. This author can write and make the readers feel what the characters are going through. Loved it.

The only word I can think of when trying to explain how I feel about The Beginning Of Home is simply everything. This book has everything. Epic romance. Emotion that pulls at your heart. Wonderful friendship. Suspense that has you gasping. And hope. Lots and lots of hope. This is my first read of Krista Sandor’s beautiful writing and it certainly is not going to be my last. She has a true talent in pulling you in with characters you can’t help but love and then she keeps you hooked with twists and turns to match the sweet and swoon.
I can’t think of one thing I didn’t love about Nick and Lindsey. The good and the bad were all so perfectly done to create two people who not only were magnificent together, but also wonderful individually. First love, second chances, and overcoming the worst that life can throw at you their story may have moments that leave you ugly crying but the hope that prevails will leave you smiling ear to ear.

This is the third book in this amazing series, and is Lindsey and Nick’s story. Lindsey is starting over in a new town after escaping an abusive relationship. Nick is from her past, and together they are perfect. This is a well written story, which is heartbreaking, emotional, romantic, and filled with secrets, suspense, and second chance’s, all of which had me totally intrigued and captivated throughout. I look forward to reading more from this talented author, and highly recommend for all readers.

This is a lovely little story about Lindsey and Nick.
The story begins at a camp they meet at, as teenagers, and they realise that although they are young, they’ve met their soul mate. Unfortunately things don’t run smoothly and they lose touch.
16 years later and eventually they met again and while older, things are still as complicated as they were then....

I loved reading the first part about the beginning of their story, and I loved the sound of that camp! I loved how they re connected and faced their new beginnings together.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. The characters were instantly likeable, and was easy to follow them throughout the story.

My heart is bursting right now! Krista just gets better with each book! This tale is filled with tragedy, strength, hope, love and fight and that’s just Lindsey’s character! Nick is a wounded by life alpha male who needs to find his strength in himself and the belief that his childhood and younger life does not need to define who he is as a man!

Their story will bring you to tears and make you feel so deeply as their story could be anyone’s in the world! This book shows that sometimes despite what you have been through you can sometimes have faith in strangers and that sometimes you need to listen to those from your past to know that even though you were hurt it was not always intended and that person may have been hurting too!

Wonderfully well written! Heartbreakingly beautiful!

After reading book 2 of this series I knew I would want to read book 3. I just didn’t know my heart would be touched so much. Lindsey’s and Nick’s story is a beautiful story that gives hope to those who’s life has been hurt by domestic violence and abuse. Lindsey decided to fight for not only her life but her baby’s and for love. Nick showed that as a young man growing up in an abusive home that you can break the cycle and not be the abusive parent that raised you.

There love story was so sweet and endearing. From a young love that carried over to adulthood. You don’t want to miss this book. Just be ready to fall in love with both of them.

Lindsey and Nick were camp counselors when they were 16, but they weren’t friends right away. Nick had a chip on his shoulder because of what his mom planned on doing. Lindsey was there visiting her aunt Mrs. G. They formed a bond but something happened and they never saw each other again till much later. Lindsey was hiding from her ex that was abusive and Nick just moved back where they ran into each other. Nick and Lindsey run into each other a bit and are hit with many unanswered questions but when the truths come out Nick just wants to love Lindsey forever but things don’t always go as easy as you’d like.

Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better, Krista knocks out this one!!!
*I do want to put out a disclaimer that this book does involve some scenes dealing with abuse but not the whole book.*
Teenage love turns tragic! The story line between Nick and Lindsey is just too good to put down. Falling in love and learning the hardships of heartbreak at 16 is tough. But having men disappoint her is nothing new to Lindsey.
Nick knows all too well about disappointment and how not to love from his childhood but when Lindsey comes blazing back into his life and heart, it changes him for the better.
I have loved all these books so far, the next one just as much if not more! I HIGHLY recommend the Langley Park Series to anyone who is looking for a great book series that will suck you in and keep you hooked!!!

16 years ago Lindsey and Nick, both with their share of family drama; meet as teenagers as summer camp counselors. As the attraction grew, promises were made to continue seeing one another once camp ended, instead were left with broken hearts

I loved it! This was such a fantastic read. I could not put this down. I know the subject of abuse can be a bit sensitive and taboo to some but the author did a great job bringing awareness and felt this was tastefully done.

For me, this book is about young love, survival, friendship, and second chances. I have fallen in love with these character and this series. It just gets better and better with each book. I cannot wait for the next one

This book takes you on a journey of self discovery and healing. We first meet Lindsey and Nick when they are 16 years old and spending the week as camp counselors. They quickly fall in love and are taken away from each other due to life. FF 16 years later and they reconnect but both have been torn down and have demons from life's journeys that they need to overcome. The book was okay. There were some parts that were a little slow for me and I felt like the author gave way to much information on things that really didn't matter and then skimped on the important stuff. All in all it was just okay and I won't be continuing with the series.

Even though this wasn't the first book I've read by Krista Sandor I did read the first book in the Langley Park Series and thought that was an amazing book as well. The Beginning of Home follows the story of Lyndsey and Nick. As teenagers they meet at Summer camp as leaders, both sent there by their mums. Both have problems at home, Lyndsey’s dad has left her and her mum and starting a new family with someone else and has cut Lyndsey out of his life. Nick’s dad beats his mum and she is trying to get them away from him. With everything going on in their lives they find each other and promise to make things work between them. But life events happen and they get separated, only to meet up 16 years later. But things have changed and Lyndsey is not the same, she’s a frightened she’ll if the person she used to be and hiding a secret from Nick. Really enjoyed this book and the characters. The first one if this series I’ve read so am going back to read the first 2 in the series.

OH my goodness this story is AMAZING!!! I mean it keeps you on your toes with the emotional bond Lindsey and Nick have for each other. BUT the way Nick fights to show Lindsey their love is sold, you can’t help but swoon. Yet Lindsey is a fighter and would do anything to protect her heart and so much more. As each of these books comes out I feel like I love this author’s work more.
