Class of 2024 Celebrates at Senior Brunch
The Clarke Central Class of 2024 kicked off their spring celebrations with Senior Brunch last Friday. The event opened with messages from CCSD Superintendent Dr. Robbie Hooker, CCSD BOE member Dr. LaKeisha Gantt (Class of 1996), and lawyer-to-be Ms. Tavaria Smith (Class of 2019). Seniors were then treated to food from Saucehouse and enjoyed music, games, and hanging with their friends. Gladiator Represents at GHSA Leadership Conference
Shout-out to Gladiator student-athlete Claire Bruner who represented Clarke Central at the 2024 GHSA Student Leadership Conference in Macon last week. The event was presented by the GHSA Student Athlete Advisory Committee and included some of the best speakers in athletics. Thanks, Claire, for continuing to make CCHS proud and best of luck for the remainder of the track season. Go Glads!
Mindfulness Workshop
A big thank you to Katie Calkin, Health Educator at Piedmont, for visiting last week and presenting a mindfulness workshop for Gladiator students! Katie dove into the science of how practicing mindfulness affects our brains and guided us through some mindfulness practices to incorporate into our everyday life.
Better Together Hiring Fair
It's time for the second annual CCSD senior Hiring Fair, taking place on Wednesday, May 1 from 1:30-3:00PM at Athens Community Career Academy.
The Hiring Fair is a collaboration between CCSD, Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, and YouthForce Innovation Hub. Its objective is to connect soon-to-be graduates with local employment opportunities. We will have several employers present to meet with you. Some seniors may even leave with job offers!
To attend this event, you will need to fill out this registration form and hand in a signed permission slip. If you have misplaced your permission slip, you can download it here or get a copy from Ms. Savage in the counseling department. Permission slips are due to Ms. Savage by April 30, 2024.

Scholarship Opportunity
DSI Photography LLC is a local company owned by Randall Ivery (1991 Clarke Central Alum) and Deidre Scott-Ivery. They have two children currently in the Clarke County School District. DSI is honored to be the exclusive provider of photography and videography services for Clarke Central High School. It is the goal of DSI to give back to the Clarke Central community, particularly to the students, that DSI has had a blast capturing memories of this school year.

Campus Parent Portal
As a parent, you can monitor your student’s performance by using Campus Parent Portal. Parent Portal provides current information on course and assignment grades as well as attendance. ADAP Certificate
Georgia law requires teenagers under the age of 18 to show proof that they have completed the Georgia Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program (ADAP) course to obtain a drivers license. Students at CCHS participate in the online ADAP course (eADAP) while either in Health or JROTC. Those who have completed the program and need their certificate can find it at this link. For more information, consult this document.
Certificate of Enrollment
Students, if you’re planning to apply for a learner’s permit or driver’s license, the Georgia Department of Driver Services requires a Certificate of School Enrollment. To request this document you must complete the Google Form linked here. A Certificate of School Enrollment will be emailed to you.
Student Parking Permits
Students can purchase parking permits are now available. The cost $30 which can be paid on GoFan. Students must also submit a completed application and show proof of insurance and a drivers license to Officer Loggins in room 305. Questions can be directed to Officer Loggins at logginsv@clarke.k12.ga.us.

Gladiator Youth Football Registration is Open
Gladiator Youth Football will offer a positive, exciting tackle football and cheerleading experience for the youth of Clarke County. There will be teams at the 6U, 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, and 7th grade (12 and 13) levels coached by skilled and knowledgeable individuals. The teams will compete in the North Georgia Youth Football Association and play their home games in Clarke Central’s Billy Henderson Stadium.

Gladiator Youth Summer Camps
The Clarke Central Athletic Department offers Summer Youth Camps for students ages 6 to 14. Each sports camp will be staffed by Clarke Central High School athletic coaches and provide an opportunity for young athletes to develop fundamentals and skills in various sports.
