These ten (10) photographic prints on glossy paper of H-B studio drawings of the settings in The Flintstones cartoon series were made for the use of story and layout artists in planning scenes in episodes of the show. The drawings shown in the photos were likely created by Dick Bickenbach or Walt Clinton, who are credited with layout for the show's first seasons. Three of these images are pictured in The Flintstones: A Modern Stone Age Phenomenon by T.R. Adams on pages 22 and 23.
Animator Preston Blair worked at Hanna-Barbera on the original series of The Flintstones in the 1960s after his years at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer with Fred "Tex" Avery. After M-G-M closed its cartoon division in 1957, a goodly number of its former animation filmmakers joined the staff of Joe Barbera and Bill Hanna's rapidly growing studio to produce animated films for television. These photographs are from Preston Blair's estate, and our certificate of authenticity is included.VERY FINE condition.
