I have a soft spot when it comes to Gaige. I love him so hard. There are days when I begged Teagan for his story, (BEGGED I tell you!) but he was being a stubborn s.o.b. It turns out I'm glad he was so stubborn. His story was worth the wait. He needed time to tell it.

Teagan's writing has grown leaps and bounds. I'm so incredibly proud of her. Not only did we have to wait for Gaige to talk but we had to wait for her to be ready to write him. His story isn't an easy one. Haley's story isn't easy either. It takes time and talent to tell it correctly.

For me to say that I loved this book was an understatement. Because I didn't love it. I FLOVED it.

Gaige has had my heart from the very beginning. He still does. He's a delinquent. A druggie. A thief. A screw-up. An imperfectly perfect mess. He's everything.

Don't wait to buy this book, one-click it now. Right this second. Heck, if you want skip ahead in the series and read his book first. It can be read as a stand-alone. (GASP! I never skip ahead.) Gaige is worth the risk.

So this series didn’t go as well as I had hoped. This just really didn’t make a lot of sense. Gaige was portrayed one way throughout the series and then another way in his book. There was a lot of back and forth and everything seemed to be kind of all over the place. I really liked the epilogue, but that’s about it.

Tldr: the author has made huge strides in the things that bugged me about previous books, but I didn't like the heroine and the romance seemed forced instead of believable.
I put a pin in this book because although I found Gaige an interestingly enigmatic character across this series, what little I knew of Haley didn't make her an especially appealing heroine. This book was a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand the author seems to be finally getting the hang of pacing a book with more going on than just the romance, though the ending still did come a bit fast. On the other hand this couple was frustrating and didn't necessarily work for me. I'm not a huge fan of the "reformed hero" thing, I in fact won't even read the synopsis of a book if it's labeled as a"bad boy romance." Then comes a character like Gaige. He was a terrible teenager. Anger issues, drug issues, a criminal record. Present day Gaige is a lovely human being and good citizen trying to right the wrongs of his past. BUT he also continually fails too disclose things he knows he needs to, important enough that they amount to lying rather than omissions. I had a mildly negative opinion of Haley at the start of this, the book made it worse instead of better. She plays hot and cold, dropping him without a word then picking him back up when she needs him barely even acknowledging the ghost. She makes rash decisions then gets angry with him over the outcomes. Frankly she's kind of a bitch and despite my issues with Gaige I thought he deserved better. So as you can imagine the romance didn't especially work for me. We actually got a decent amount of development here, which hasn't always been the case with this author (though the six month separation could've been given more air time then a two sentence description), but it's a case of we're told they belong together because of the magic of a romance book. I never actually felt like they belonged or were even good together. Maybe if it had been a duel pov it would've worked but from what I got I just didn't see why he wanted her. One thing I will give the author, that isn't super common, is the ability to write a character that feels like a person even when you don't especially like the person they are.

Gaige Addams is living a life filled with regrets. He's held on to grudges, can't get past deep self loathing, and keeps all of this from his best friends. Not to mention, he can't quite keep from shooting himself in the foot time after time, while carrying all of the heavy baggage. The night he meets Haley is the night his life is shaken up. For the first time, he has something that he does for himself, when he spends his time with her. Their friendship takes off, but it's another secret, so when she just stops talking to him, he has no one to talk to about it. After six months of radio silence, she calls him again, and he can't keep himself from going to her, only this time, the feelings that have developed are more than just friendship. But when their feelings are finally out in the open, will the fall out have him shooting himself in the foot once again?

I want to state for the record, that I LOVED Gaige, although his heavy burden of shame that he wouldn't let go of, made me want to shake him more than once. Haley didn't click with me as much, and maybe it was because it was only from Gaige's POV. But one thing is for sure, the colorful cast of secondaries had me rolling! And hot cross buns had me spitting my drink out! (You will have to read the story) Teagan Hunter has an easy writing style that was super easy to become captivated from the beginning. I could feel the raw emotions of Gaige, which went right to my heartstrings, and my eyes almost became too leaky to read. And a little SMOKIN' HOT sexy scene goodness added some spice to this emotional journey of second chances. After reading Here's to Now, I'm fully convinced that I need to read the prior books in this series asap! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Haley and Gaige are taking center stage and yeah you can just tell from that tagline up there that this was gonna be a good one...not one single little minute.

The Here's To series is rounding out with its fourth book (third full standalone) in the series, Here's To Now and what a journey this series and more particularly this book was with an amazing cast of very unforgettable characters (hello to repeats and check ins!) and some epic, epic stories.

Gaige is one that intrigued me along the way and the man didn't disappoint y'all, at any moment in this book. Quiet. Strong. Fierce. Loyal. Broken. Shattered. Regretful. She's the curveball he didn't expect but desperately needed.

Haley and Gaige deliver not only complicated and deep feelings but laughter, love, light, and heartbreak. The angst in this one was..different but in such a good way.

Teagan has a fan in me for life with two brilliamt3, highly recommended series and really her career is just getting started, how exciting y'all!

I highly recommend this book.

I've enjoyed the books in this series, but this one was my favorite.

It follows Gaige, who is struggling to move past mistakes that he's made in the past (and some of them were awful), and Haley, who has had her share of mistakes in the past too.

I loved the way their relationship blossomed over time before it evolved into more. And while they (mainly Gaige) has kept secrets from her, they work through their issues. The evolution of Gaige from his childhood and the maturity that he gains is inspirational.

I also loved catching up with the characters from the first two books. I hope that there is a book for Perry (and Dallas?).

Worth the read!

Remember when I said this one might be my favorite? I was right! So RIGHT! This was honestly the greatest one yet. Gaige and Haley's story was anything but conventional, it was honestly amazing. The way they came together was so unique, I loved every single bit of it.
And getting to know the real Gaige and all the secrets behind his silence... wow, that man was hiding serious sh*t. Learning about his past and what he'd been through only made me love him more. He still feels guilty, he blames himself for everything that happened all those years ago and that is what has been keeping him from the happy ending he so deserves.

I honestly really loved this one. It truly was unlike anything I have ever read before and I simply loved Gaige to pieces, he was perfect. I also enjoyed getting to know Haley.

Here’s to Now is a very complicated, messy romance.

Gaige aka the quiet one. Was quite a mystery, in the beginning, he didn’t say much throughout the last two books. So you didn’t get to know him. There are so many things that he carries on his shoulders, that he shouldn’t. Haley is kind of like his rock that he never knew he needed. She’s a spitfire, she’s fun, and she loves the crap out of him. But it takes a while for them to confront those feelings for each other. So that leads to a roller coaster of doubt and secrets.

Gaige has a lot of secrets. Which, I’m not going to put them on display in this review. You’ll have to read it yourself. I enjoyed this story; I didn’t emotionally connect with these two. But they have so much heart. It’s like you never know if you can genuinely love someone, tell you chip away at those pieces of yourself. Get right into the middle of and see how much your heart deserves. That’s both of them. Hunter is excellent at character building and letting the reader get to know these characters. You can tell that as an author, she loves them.

Overall, I have to give this Four Boundless Stars.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Here's to Tomorrow (Here's To, #1)
Here's to Forever (Here's To, #1.5)
Here's to Yesterday (Here's To #2)

This is Haley and Gaige story. Gaige has regrets but so do a lot of people. He turned his life around and is finally in a great place. He screwed up sure but that is all in the past. Haley is a curveball he never expected. They have great chemistry and he is falling hard, but he is still dealing with things in his past. Can he trust her to stick around after she finds out all about his baggage that he carries around? Or will it all be just too much for her to handle sending her out of his life?

I love the chemistry between these two. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

The enigma of Gaige is finally revealed. He's a complicated hunk of burning love. From self - loathing to heart-aching Haley and Gaige stole an enormous chunk of my heart. There is so much more than a romance at stake when you let Ms. Hunter into your heart, her characters walk away with pieces of your soul. Throughout the series Gaige seemed to be the guy that has his act together, but looks can be deceiving. He's the man still struggling to figure himself out. Haley brings sunshine to drown out the rain. She chases away the dark moments as she ends up rescuing them both. Here's to Now is the most involved of the Here's To series. Drama, mystery and hope define a tale of moving on and letting go.

Here's to Now is book three in the Here's To series. It can be read as a standalone but if you read the previous ones then you will already know the characters. This one is Gaige and Haley's story. I loved Gaige. He's not prefect, he has a not so great past. He's worked hard to get where he is. He has his secrets. Haley is the prefect curve ball that Gaige never saw coming. Before this book I loved Giage but really didn't have an opinion on Haley, by the end of this story I really liked her. I liked getting to know Gaige and Haley more. This one was a good read.

Out of all the books in the series, this one was the best.

It's told in Gaige's POV only and the reader sees that he has really struggled his whole life. I feel for the guy and all he is trying to over come to be with his siblings. The book is broken up into three parts (part one is the best) and this is how Gaige reveals his secrets Haley.

Overall, I'm not sure I would read books from this author again.. The female characters were weak and whiny. The guys a little better but still not enough to hold my interest very long.

I know what you are thinking right now after reading the blurb: "Not another book in which two characters get drunk in Vegas, get married in front of Elvis, only to wake up the next morning, regretting their decision and demanding an annulment." I had similar thoughts before diving into the story because it sounds so cliché. But let me ease your concerns right now: the focus in this book is not on the wedding. Yes, it is a part of the story but it's just a small part and it takes nothing away from the actual story.

As I already mentioned, Gaige and Haley's wedding in Vegas is only a small part of the novel. The decision to get married may have been a spur-of-the-moment decision, their relationship, however, is anything but. So many novels these days are about insta-love and insta-attraction and although these two have been attracted to each other from the very beginning, all they were was friends. They just wanted to spend time with someone, someone who understood them, someone they could just be with. The development from strangers to acquaintances to friends to lovers was honest, real and believable.

"Love was always something I knew about, but it was something I'd never truly experienced. I was comfortable with that. [...] Then you came along. You crashed into my life when I wasn't looking. You sneaked into my heart in the wildest of ways. [...] You've done something to me, awakened me somehow. I don't know how or when, but it happened. [...] I don't even think love is a strong enough word to describe what you make me feel."

Besides Gaige and Haley, we also get to see the other members of the gang. Because all their stories started off at the same time and because their friendships are entwined with each other, we get to experience some of their stories all over again but from a different perspective which I really enjoyed.
Here's To Now is a worthy follow-up in the "Here's To" series and became one of my favorites in the past two months.

"I don't leave my self-respect at the door to get in a girl's underwear. I bring it with me to get into her heart."

Yes. So much yes.

While all 3 books in this series are stand-alone books, they are about the same group of friends so we've gotten to know Gaige a little bit already. I say a little bit, because while reading this one we realize that he has so much more going on that we could imagine. Gaige and Haley (who we also know from the previous books) meet at the bar one night and since Haley is too drunk to function he drives her home. She asks him to stay and although nothing happens between them sexually, they have a connection and a friendship blooms from there.

The tagline of the book is "Strangers to friends. Friends to lovers. Lovers to...oh, sh*t, we just got married in Vegas!" The timeline of the book is at least a year long and runs parallel to the first two books, so there is none of the insta-love crap that is so annoying. Their relationship develops at a good pace. They are tested when Haley has a family crisis, and from circumstances surrounding Gaige's past. They grow as friends, as a dating couple, and finally as husband and wife. They learn how to trust each other and themselves, and to trust their core group of friends and family.

Here's To Now is a beautiful story about two people who need each other to heal.

"To have someone look at me differently in a good way. This friendship with Haley allows me that."

Oh my Gaige!!!

I've been so excited for this story!
Teagan went above and beyond my expectations!

This book pulled so many of my heartstrings.
Gaige and Haley each have such complex backstorys, but they somehow mesh into a beautiful love story.

"You truly are something else, Haley."
"A good something?"
"A good something."

What started out as an unlikely friendship, slowly morphed into a bond that only love could be described as.

I loved every moment!!
Watching these two people slowly falling in love was such a beautiful thing. No matter what twist and turns came their way, their bond was just too strong.

"I don't even think love is a strong enough word to describe what you make me feel."
"And they say romance is dead."

I can honestly say that I couldn't get enough of this book!!

I wanted more even when I knew it was over. Teagan did a beautiful job telling Gaige and Haley's story!

My heart is happy and I'm so pleased with every word that was written!! So good!!

Y'all, I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Gaige. Holy amazing. I loved that Here's to Now was told solely from his perspective, even if it did make Haley a little harder for me to connect with. I still liked her — and loved THEM — but he was the star of the show here. But man, did they give me all the freaking feels with their slow burn, friends first romance.

Gaige's past is seriously messy. It's filled with heavy stuff that's weighed him down for so long. Haley helps him realize he wants more — and she helps him break free of the guilt. While this book deals with some serious subjects, it does so in a way that keeps it from being too angsty. Gaige and Haley made me smile and swoon. There are sexy times and feels. Here's to Now is my favorite book of the series and one I won't forget anytime soon.

I was going to wait until it was closer to release but I decided what the heck. First let me say I love Gaige. I have been waiting for his story for what seems forever but his was worth the wait. Gaige was unexpected and complex but simple at the same time. He was everything you look for in a guy. He was mysterious, quiet but has a huge heart.

How Haley and Gaige began on their journey made me smile and laugh. I love how Gaige opened himself up to Haley and how Gaige was able to pull back Haley's layers as well. Teagan Hunter has this uniqueness about how she writes. She not only gives you heart and soul, she gives you laughter among the heartbreak.

Here's to Now is my favorite story so far. This one captured my heart, made me laugh, made me smile, made me feel and most of all made me fall in love with two broken souls who find a way to heal each other.

Teagan has done it again with her one-liners
Here's to Now is her 3rd novel but fourth book in the series.. she also has a novella published and this is by far her best work yet!
Although I am partial to Tucker, Gaige's story is captivating and a page turner with a few surprises along the way. It's funny and heartfelt.. a must-read!
Can't wait for her next book!

Whew! I did not expect that. Here’s to Now took me on a ride. That is for sure. I thought I knew who she was going to end up with when I read book one. Boy was I wrong. Let me tell you though. The surprise was pleasant. This book is not like any others that I have read. It is even very different than the others in the series. I am in love with this story.
The plot of this book intrigued me. I knew it was about Hayley, Rae’s sister, but I was unsure who the man was. Add in the Vegas Wedding tease and I knew this was going to be an explosive book. I loved Hayley since book one. Even when some mistakes happened, I still stuck by her. I am glad that she has her own book in this one. I loved the plot and where the author took it.
Usually I talk about the characters, but I like that it was a mystery. So I will say this. Hayley is a completely different person in this book. You get to dive deeper into her personal life so she is not just Rae’s sister anymore. She has her own identity. The main male is a strong character. He also had a face value until you get to this book. I liked diving into his past. He has baggage, but it was nice to see him wade through his past to find a future.
What I love most about this series is the heat. While it’s there, it isnt immediate. There is attraction and chemistry, but not jump into bed. It is funny I am saying this because of how the book starts, but trust me, you will get it later. Once things do heat up, it is like someone struck a match. These two characters are completely hot for each other.
I loved the writing style of this book. At first, I wasn’t sure about it, but it quickly grew on me. This book is separated into three sections, each to show a different part of the main character’s lives. I liked how this set up worked. It gave us a bit of the past, got into the present, and even gave us a glimpse of the future. I also liked that this story was told from one point of view. While usually I like seeing both characters thoughts, this book worked.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. This is easily my favorite in the series. It had a little bit of everything I normally enjoy in a book. I really liked the characters as well. These two characters were written in such a way that I felt I could really relate to them. Seeing the other characters didn’t hurt either. I really hope the author writes one more book to tie up the last single people in the book. The loveable cousin and the roommate.

Heres to Now by Teagan Hunter
“Messy pasts, bright futures? 5 stars”

So, if you’ve been following this series you know who both Hayley and Gaige are, well this is there story. Both have an extremely messy past and hope for the futures to be bright but aren’t quite sure if that’s possible. Heres to Now takes you on a journey of growth and putting ghosts where they belong.
Hayley is a hot mess. Her moods are all over the place. When she meets Gaige she’s at a low. What she didn’t know is that he knew her sister and was friends with her. When her and Gaige start their friendship that turns into something more she wants to keep it private. She doesn’t want to have to share him. How will Gaige react to that?
Gaige has a crud past. His childhood is chalked up with mistakes and now he’s trying to atone for his sins. He works hard and hardly goes out. One night when he does he meets Hayley. They are drawn together like a moth to a flame. Will he be able to get what he’s been working so hard for?
I don’t know who is more of a sad character because of what they’ve gone through. But in all honestly, they both come out on top. Despite the cards they’ve been dealt they handle everything pretty well. I like the way the story was told and was pleased that it was these two together in the end.

description

A story of growth, of opening up, of finding purpose. Haley and Gaige meet at the bar and fall into an easy, albeit odd, relationship. The learn that they have someone else to lean on. As they spend more time with one another their friendship grows. Do they have a chance to be more or will the things they hide break them apart?
I enjoyed the easy friendship between Gaige and Haley. I felt like even though it was a little strange, it seemed realistic and just fit. There was a natural flow that I appreciated.
There were times I grew frustrated because I knew there was more going on. I just wanted them, especially Gaige, to be honest and upfront about their issues but presenting it the way Hunter did added angst to the story. My favorite part was that because there was such a natural progression of the relationship, I could really understand what they saw in one another. I could see the little things that drew them to each other.
Here's to Now was a sweet and emotional read with characters I was invested in.

A bit overly dramatic

For a book written from the male’s perspective, I felt as though the angst he described was a bit over played and overly dramatic. The rational he uses for lying by omission seems cowardly and makes me like him less. The author’s use of foreboding was excessive and frequently referenced things that were pretty lame when they were finally revealed. Conversely, there were several gaps where the story just skipped huge periods of time and made brief references to events that might have been interesting to include in the story but were glossed over (for example, the back story about Hailey and her sister’s relationship and why they had a falling out. Or what Gaige did that led to his brother being injured). It was just overall a disjointed story with 2 dimensional characters that seemed to fret constantly about insignificant events, blame themselves for things beyond their control and repeatedly keep things from the people they love until it blows up in their face (predictably and repeatedly)—all the while mentioning but not expanding on significant events in the story.

Gaige and Haley were a wrecking ball (queue Miley) Their lives were destructive and you'd think they would learn from their mistakes.

Gaige led a tough life made entirely of bad decisions. Of course these were decisions started by an angry 16 year old and bled into his adult life. He tried he really did. Haley is s firecracker with secrets of her own. She's a force with a smart mouth. Yet who is the real Haley? One night Haley shows up at a bar where he's trying to unwind from his day. On a whim they strike up a conversation and thus start a clandestine secret friendship. They want to have something that's just for them with no outside influences. This of course will have dire consequences.

I laughed from the prologue to the end. Yes vacuum cleaners suck. Yes ladies will flock to cheap liquor. I love Haley and her comebacks.I also love that cute fluffy Easter chick Gauge. Teagan writes stories that could happen to anyone of us. Facing though decisions and social fears. Her books strike a chord. I can't wait to see what's next!!

Its official, Gaige is my new book boyfriend, just as i knew he would be from the very first book in this series.

Mysterious, brooding, hot, caring, and understanding are just a few words i would use to describe Gaige. He pulled me in from the very first time i met him and now thats it, im hooked and im never giving him up. I fell so hard for him and my heart broke for him everytime he revealed another secret from his past. In the end im so happy he got his HEA and in the very best way possible.

Haley, man what a woman, if i HAVE to share Gaige with anyone im glad it’s her. She hasn’t had it easy either and i think i shed plenty of tears for her when i found out what she went through. Most of all I loved how she was understanding with Gaige and how she gave him strength and showed him that he was a good guy worthy of love.

Overall this is my favourite book in the series, it’s the most emotional one too. Im happy it ended on a high and ill be visiting these characters again and again.

Here’s to now is 3 rd book in this series.

Every part of this series is very good to read and gave me different feeleings:

- first part gave me the sweetest single daddy ever,

- secodn part fill me with the need to be really loved,

- third made me feel hopeless... hopeless in this this kind which can leave You forever broken.

That’s why this last book was the hardest part for me to read. It was hard for me, not because this story was bad written… It was hard for me because I feelt really alone.

Gaige and Haley makes my head spinning, they both are so sweet, tension between then in this book was overwhelming. But like in every good story there must be place for words which nobody want to say and hear.... but secrets can be deadly...

My heart was aching for them... I could only read breathless till the end of this story, that's why I higly recommend this book.and series.

Here's to Now by Teagan Hunter is the third novel in her Here's To Series and while connected, can be raed as a standalone.
Here´s to Now tells Gaige and Haley´s story. Gaige Addams is a man with a hard life who made a lot of mistakes. But he wants to be better and works hard to reach his goal. He´s aquiet man who was knocked down a lot.
Haley is Rae´s older sister and theri relationship is estranged. Haley lied to Rae and that she can´t forgive.
Haley and Gaige start a fwb non-relationship and it seems they´re doomed from the start. And yes, his secrecy and truth avoidung nearly destroyes every good and true in his life.
This book ha s all the feels. I was sad, happy and at some point I was angry at the characters too. I give 4 beautiful stars.
