Ed Puzzlehttp://www.edpuzzle.comFlipping the classroom experience helps me to formatively assess where my students are regarding review content. This is especially useful in math because we can work on exercises in class that were instructed on in the videos. This allows us to move through the content more quickly and allows me to support an misunderstandings that might exist with particular students in the class.

10/14/2020 11:19:32miriama@staff.harker.orgSuddenly Teaching Onlinehttps://suddenlyteaching.online/The author has lots of experience with remote teaching and has spent a lot of time trying out various methods. He also teaches to a population of students similar to ours at the Upper School. He avoids vague teacher-speak and talks about the issues that are really central to making it work. There are only three articles on the website, but they are all worth reading.

AirTable Plannerhttps://airtable.com/I love this ( I am using the free option) - I can see visually what my projects are, add attachments, videos, links, timeframes, notes, supplies. I can modify each column as I see fit. I have not used all the tools yet. You can share with upto 5 people for the free version. My new best friend!

I explored it myself and have been so happy with it, particularly for math!
I created folders for each of my classes, can copy info from one to another, import images from photos of screenshots I take from our online book and other resources, etc.etc.
I use it daily for lessons, homework review, and any other things I need to share with my students. I often “discover” (or remember they exist😊) new features. My most recent discovery was the tracking light that allows me to guide the students to what I am reading or referring to without overwriting (which I was doing previously).

10/14/2020 18:13:14marinap@staff.harker.orgGoogle's Jamboard https://www.google.com/Super helpful for breakout rooms and for sharing their work afterward. Thank you to Scott Pflaumer for sharing this. It is quick to see their work while they are in breakout rooms, rather than the delay of visiting the rooms through Zoom. Then I can share to the whole class, quickly rather than wait for students to find out how to share their own screens. Also I can add comments to their work even after class is over. I can share lecture notes with them.

10/15/2020 8:39:44scottp2@staff.harker.orgPerusallhttps://www.perusall.com/Perusall is a collaborative reading platform. Textbook or pdf documents can be uploaded to Perusall for students to read. As students read they can (or be required to) add questions, comments, notes & answers to other students’ questions about the reading. The teacher decides reading groups, typically 3-6 students who can view the feedback their group members wrote. Perusall helps student’s activity read and it also provides the teacher with feedback about how much effort students put into the reading (sometimes I’ll see a regular kid who spent 30s on a 4 page reading!) & what parts were most confusing. Finally, Perusall includes an optional AI grading system which gauges student effort reasonably effectively.
