Robert Bernard Spiegel's Fund

Bobby Spiegel, my oldest nephew, 32, was senselessly murdered last night. He was stabbed to death and left on the street. That's all we know right now.  (This photo is of my nephew and his mom, just a few months ago.)

I was 11 years old when he was born, my brother (his father) was an 18 year old boy back then. My mom (his grandmother) helped raise him and truthfully, I think she is in a state of shock right now and I don't how she'll ever get through this.  My goodness, I still remember what a cute kid Bobby was and how mature I felt being an 11 year old aunt.  

He and my brother are (were?) my mom's caretakers and live (lived?) in the house with her in NJ.  Today is a bad dream and none of us quite comprehend what has happened but I suppose we will very soon.  

I don't have the mindset in this moment to create a sweet story about little Bobby (as he's lovingly been known since he was born) but I know that my family can not afford to provide the burial he deserves. 

I have an extraordinary community & sisterhood and I believe in the power of asking for support, prayers & love.  So here I am...asking. 

If you're able to help in any way, please do. All prayers are welcome & so needed, for my mom, my brother, his two brothers, Jeremy & Jamar and his mother, specifically.  

I NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS THOUGHT I'D EVER HAVE TO DO ANYTHING LIKE THIS. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO.
