In Loving Memory of

M. Madeleine

(Turgeon) Fiorino

May 8, 1925 - August 3, 2021

Marie Madeleine (Turgeon) Fiorino was born into a French-Canadian family in Edmonton, Alberta on May 8, 1925. She passed away on August 3, 2021 at the age of 96 in Tucson, Arizona. She was a multi-faceted and international woman who lived a musically and family oriented life. She was deeply spiritual and put her faith in God’s love and shared it generously.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Emilio "Lee" Fiorino, (died May 22, 2021), and her brothers John Turgeon and Bernard Turgeon. Madeleine is survived by her siblings Pierre Turgeon and Marie-Claire Turgeon, as well as her 5 children, Robert, Paul, Michelle, John, and Ted. At the time of her passing, she had 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Madeleine lived in Denver, CO with her husband and family for 52 years before moving to SaddleBrooke. No matter if she lived in Canada, New York, Denver, or Arizona (and even when she found herself traveling around the world), she always pursued a life full of music. She found great success as a singer, teacher, and choir director. She was very active in the SaddleBrooke community and enjoyed meeting new people. She connected with all people through her love of music, language, and cooking. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Madeleine's family, the Turgeons, and her friends from Canada would like to say thank you, merçi, and to express their utmost gratitude to the extended family for their unconditional love. Thank you/Merçi to the many friends that supported Madeleine and her husband Lee. Madeleine often spoke about her "Angels on Earth'' that resided in Canada, the US, and elsewhere. Thank you/Merçi to all the “angels” in the extended family that worked collaboratively to ensure that Madeleine and Lee would be cared for and safe.

Madeleine and her husband Lee always considered SaddleBrooke to be a little piece of Heaven on Earth. They have both expressed their extreme gratitude for all the wonderful people in their community.

Message from Canada

We are very pleased to have shared collaboratively in the planning of Madeleine’s Celebration of Life. Since we cannot be there in person, due to COVID restrictions, Our Spiritual Message of Love is sent to Madeleine and the Fiorino family via email from her Turgeon family in Canada.

Madeleine was pre-deceased by her Father, Noel, Mother, Irène, and siblings John and Bernard. She leaves to mourn her loss, two younger siblings, Brother, Dr. Pierre Turgeon, who lives in the greater Ottawa area, Canada’s Capital City, and Sister, Marie Claire Turgeon, who lives in Edmonton, Alberta’s Capital City. She also leaves many immediate family members, nieces, nephews and their children, along with many other relatives and friends from Canada.

Our Message is for Madeleine, her children Robert, Paul, Michelle, John, and Ted, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, relatives, friends, and acquaintances in the USA.

THANK-YOU, MERÇI! for enhancing the life of our beautiful, talented, fun-loving, spiritual sister, Madeleine. She was truly blessed in having five children who not only loved her, but also found her adventurous, adorable, dedicated, prayerful, and sweet. Her husband Lee, was a loving and supportive husband of 71 years. All of you also enhanced her life in some way, through phone calls, visits, cards, letters, etc. which were appreciated not only by her, but by her husband and children as well.

THANK-YOU, MERÇI! Lee Fiorino for being here not only in spirit but also in another extraordinary way. You created the design for the beautiful facility* where the Denver service was held for Madeleine, which is not only a legacy to your architectural achievements, but allows us to have a unique experience together in the building you designed. How fortunate we all are to be here physically and spiritually to share in the Celebration of Life for OUR beautiful and unique sister, wife & mother, Madeleine.

THANK-YOU, MERÇI! GOOD BYE, AU REVOIR! Enjoy Madeleine’s Celebration of Life. God Bless you all, Stay Safe.
