This duet was my first venture into reading anything by Meghan March, and I can see why she's so popular amongst fellow readers. These books were addicting, captivating, and kept me on the edge of my seat. I actually enjoyed this book a little more than the first in the duet, and that rarely happens for me. I am definitely looking forward to reading more of her books. Especially ones that are already out about some of the secondary characters of this duet.

Cannon knows Drew's secret... now what? I was so anxious starting this book. I didn't know what would happen between Cannon, Drew, and the Casso family. I won't say much, because, spoilers, but this took us on a ride. Drew and Cannon have the most amazing chemistry. I loved them together. And I can't rave enough about how much I loved the direction this book took.

I listened to the audio version of these books and I couldn't press pause. I had to know what would happen, and the narration was amazing. I wouldn't expect anything less of Andi Ardnt and Sebastian York. I highly recommend audio format if you have these on your tbr.

There is nothing I love more than reading a book that has twists and turns that I don't see coming. I loved that this book surprised me. It could have went in so many different directions, and I thought it was great that Meghan took this unexpected way. I thought the ending was fantastic, the characters were endearing, and the writing was strong. If you're looking for a short and sexy romantic suspense duet, put these on the top of your tbr list!

'WHITE KNIGHT' is the final conclusion in Meghan March's 'Dirty Mafia #2' duet. It picks up where the previous book left off.

BACKSTORY: Cannon Freeman is the black sheep of the family. He’s Dominic Casso’s illegitimate son and is treated as such by Dom, barely acknowledged, treated as though he doesn't exist. He managers an elite cigar club called the Upper 10, this is where Drew comes into the story, she's been hired by Cannon. She's there undercover, she thinks his family has ties to her father's death and she's ready to find out the truth and take this crime family down at all costs.

After the way things left off with the previous book (because the Queen of Cliffy's striked again) I couldn't wait to get this climatic conclusion in my hands!!

This picked up right where the first book left off Black Sheep, leaving us wondering which character would fall victim to a bullet in the head, mafia style. Who was Cannon going to side with, his father or his love interest Drew? So on tenterhooks I tiptoed into that first chapter with eyes wide open, heart on stand still as we're catapulted right back into the Casso Crime Family yet again.

And from that point onwards like only Meghan March tends to do with her unseen twists and turns she threw my way I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I sped through this one!! All those niggly questions that were left up in the air finally got full closure.

A thrilling heart pounding ride that had me sitting on the edge of my seat, falling under this authors spell yet again. Cannon & Drew were the perfect characters to be teamed up together, their undeniable love sizzled off the pages, and a lot of swoony moments were install for us.

Buckle up, people!

I LOVE when authors can surprise me with their twists. WHITE KNIGHT? Full of them! There are some major developments in the second installment of the Dirty Mafia Duet, which picks up where we left Drew and Cannon. It starts out with a bang and continues in the same manner.

Pretty much every character in this book surprised me to some degree because no one, who is somehow involved with the Casso family, is actually what they seem, even capo Dom Casso, the most ruthless of them all. I still don't understand the issue he had with Cannon and I kinda wished for a proper resolution for their complicated relationship. It's not what I got but at the end of WHITE KNIGHT Cannon had Dom's respect and I'm A-OK with that.

I was hurting for Cannon when he tried so hard to reconnect with Creighton, his half-sibling, only to be rejected again. Not having read the Dirty Billionaire Trilogy I was really mad at Creighton. This is a complicated world they live in, their father is a master manipulator - I hated that Cannon's brother had such a hard time to find forgiveness for the man who was used as a puppet by their father when he was a teenager.

I loved, no, absolutely adored Drew and Cannon's deep love, that was palpable throughout the whole story. Cannon's first instinct at all times was to protect what was his and that was all kinds of romantic and endearing. I was totally crazy about these two. I'm so glad that the deception in BLACK SHEEP wasn't dragged out and found a quick, satisfying resolution.

I don't think I need to say how much I enjoyed Andi Arndt and Sebastian York's performance. They are like the proverbial old married couple - they just work.

WHITE KNIGHT was everything I expected and hoped for. It was a thrilling, whiplash inducing ride with two beautiful characters I just couldn't resist. They made me fall head over heels for them. I'm giddy that most preceding books about the supporting cast in this duet are enrolled in the Audible Escape package, just like The Dirty Mafia Duet. I have A LOT of catching up to do and can't wait to start with DIRTY BILLIONAIRE.

Why is it that every time I read a Meghan March book I become shockingly surprised? I’ve been around the block with this author and have soaked in her storytelling for years and yet I find myself letting the oh sh*t slip from my lips time and time again!! I should be used to this by now but I’m not and the only thing that I can say with confidence, is that we should NEVER underestimate her.

Picking up right where we left off with Black Sheep, we were thrown right back into the dangerous world of the Casso Crime Family, their enemies, and the secret that Drew Carson has been holding onto all this time. With looming threats that they’re facing everyday and more secrets hidden in the background, Cannon and Drew have to figure out a way to uncover the past without any bloodshed. But in the Mafia world, nothing is ever that simple.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Knowing that this was the conclusion in the Dirty Mafia Duet, I was expecting all of my questions to be answered and to have Cannon and Drew ride off into the sunset with their new life. What I got was so much more!! The action was non stop and the revelations were heart stopping gasp worthy. I was not ready for some of those secrets but let me tell you, they made the story much more exciting and I loved that.

This was a quick action packed duet that I’m so glad I had the chance to experience. Cannon and Drew’s story was complicated and messy but they were passionate about each other and you really felt their love and knew that they were going to do anything to keep each other safe. I loved seeing some familiar faces and the ending was done with nothing but love and happiness which is the perfect send off.

If you’re looking for a steamy mafia duet with some suspense, then you need to read these books!

This was the conclusion to the duet by Meghan March. There was more action in this second book but I still found my mind wandering a bit as I was reading. Honestly, this is a book that in a year’s time... I will forget a lot of details about it.

I excelled at hiding who I was from the world. Even more, I excelled at hiding my fears and my demons from myself. So, how in the hell did Cannon Danger Freeman find my heart anyway?

Well, dang. I did not see that coming. Meghan March has seriously brought her a game with the twists in this book, and my head is still spinning.

I was excited to take a step away from the trilogy side of March with a sexy duet, and White Knight certainly delivered one heart pounding conclusion. The story of Drew and Cannon was full of so many twists and turns, no way one book could have contained it. But it did make for a perfect duet.

I will say I was a little worried with the pacing of this installment starting off a bit slow for my liking. So much so that it took me 2 days to get through the first 40%. But boy did it bring the bang in the second half.

I don't even know how to begin to review this without spilling any of the spoilers, because like pretty much every Meghan March book I've read, everything is a dang spoiler. The woman can't help it. Her evil genius mind just spins a heck of a tale. But what I will tell you, is I fell even harder for Cannon in this book. Where we get the intense and mysterious side of him in the first book, we get the devastatingly devoted and protective side of him here. I couldn't get enough of this multi-faceted character. His fierce and protective side and his boyish vulnerable side that still yearns for a connection with his half sibling and father that always seemed to allude him. There's a lot that happens here and a lot of it is one twist after another. Year old vendettas are settled and truths are revealed, and all of it wrapped around one heart stopping conclusion.

I especially loved the way that Meghan was able to bring so many of our previous characters together and tie it all up with a glorious bow in this book. If you love cameos, you'll love this.

And then she introduces the mother of all alphas that will leave you a drooling and trembling mess in your wait for Legend's book. Because holy mother of GAH!

3.5 "Don’t promise me heaven, then put me through hell. I want a lifetime with you.” Stars

This is the conclusion to this duet. The story picks up after where the first book finishes. Cannon knows Drew's secret. She is Memphis Lockwood , daughter of an important investigation journalist.
Even with the truth out in the air between them he decides he wants this woman no mater what and is willing to fight everything coming their way. Their connection and chemistry is still strong and unshakable.
We get lots more action and a bit of drama here. More secrets and reveled , there were some food and unexpected plot twists , some I've seen coming some I didn't.
Was a bit unreal how everything worked out thought, I mean we are talking about Italian mafia, but anyway..they got their HEA.

This duet has taken me on one crazy ride and I'm a little sad that it's over now. Cannon and Drew's story picked up right where Black Sheep left us hanging but the craziness didn't stop there. This book was even more intriguing than the first and the action seemed to never stop. The first book had a lot to do with Drew and Cannon, but in this book it focused more on the mafia side of things and I really enjoyed that.

I don't want to say too much else to avoid spoilers, but just know that this duet is well worth the read. These characters will have you on the edge of your seat and it's a story that will shock you at every turn. I had so many thoughts on how the these characters would end up, but what really happened was so much better than anything i could have come up with. Definitely a recommended read.

4 “Great Conclusion” Stars

The conclusion to the Mafia Duet did not disappoint. Meghan March packs a a whole lot of punch in White Knight. Cannon and Drew have come a long way. Secrets and lies are exposed and new new revelations come to light. The twists and turns complicate the story even more.

I love that Drew and Cannon solidify their relationship. They love each other and have each other’s back. It’s strong, sexy and endearing. There are also cameos by previous characters that while I haven’t read their stories I was given enough information to understand and to entice me to go and read their books.

Overall a great duet that was fast paced, sexy and with a nice suspenseful twist.

Twisty and turny...

I'm very pleased to say that I enjoyed listening to White Knight. I wasn't sure after reading the first instalment as I'm not a huge fan of purposeful deception. I know that undercover stories are all about telling lies, but some do it better than others. In this case, I liked that once the truth came out, the deception and lies were cleared between the hero and heroine.

The pace was good, the storyline was entertaining, and the narrators kept me enthralled from start to finish. There were a few shocks that were revealed by the end and I can honestly say that I hadn't guessed a few of them at all. There was one particular one that was revealed and I would LOVE to know more about her and her "deception and lies" career.

Again, I do think the hero and heroine fell into love too quickly and their dedication and devotion to each other was a little unrealistic. Yes, lives were in danger and emotions were high, but, seriously, they had just met each other and they were thinking forever and ever kind of thoughts.

I find it hard to imagine, without serious and lengthy contemplation, falling in love with someone connected to the mafia. Mind you, I can't even imagine having a simple conversation with someone armed, let alone someone who would use a gun on a person. I could never have done what the heroine did and have lusty thoughts about her target. But, that's why I read/listen to stories like this...to step away from reality.

In the end, the Dirty Mafia Duet was pretty entertaining. The second instalment was definitely better than the first. The narrators do an amazing job bring Meghan March's characters to life and I hope to hear more from this duo in the future.

I thought that this was a wonderful conclusion to Cannon and Drew's story. The previous book in this duet, Black Sheep, ended with a pretty big cliffhanger so I was really eager to get back to the story and find out what would happen. I am not a fan of cliffhangers in most cases but I can deal with them when there isn't too much of a wait for the next book in the series. I really did enjoy the overall story.

Drew and Cannon were great together. I liked watching them grow together over the course of the duet. They had a lot of chemistry together and I thought that their feelings for each other seemed very genuine. I think that both characters also grew individually during this story. They both learned a lot about themselves and what they valued and wanted out of their life.

This book had some pretty exciting scenes and I was worried about both Cannon and Drew more than once. I enjoyed getting to see a bit more of the Casso crime family and its history. There was a bit of a mystery in the story towards the end that really had me guessing. There was at least one surprise in the book that I didn't see coming at all.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York both did a fantastic job with the narration. I thought that they were both able to bring the story to life. Their voices work together really well with this kind of story and I love finding books that they both narrate. I thought that they added a lot of excitement and emotion to the story. I had no problems listening for hours at a time and enjoyed the story a bit more because of their narration.

I would recommend this series to others. This book was a great combination of excitement and romance with wonderful characters that I wanted to learn more about. I definitely plan to read more of Meghan March's work in the future.

I received a copy of this audiobook from Audible Originals.

Initial Thoughts
I thought that this was a great end to the story. There were some twists that I wouldn't have predicted and I really enjoyed the characters. The narration was wonderfully done.

OMG, Meghan March sure knows how to weave a tale of intrigue and romance. Once again, she has delivered a story that was not only engaging, but also exciting, suspenseful and full of passion. She whetted my appetite with Black Sheep and satisfied my hunger with White Knight.

Drew and Cannon may just be my favourite Meghan March couple, and that is saying a lot, because they are all awesome. I enjoyed their interaction with each other, which was sexy and laced with humour. Cannon’s protective nature shined in this installment. The lengths to which he would go to protect those he cared about knew no bounds. Despite his show of strength, his vulnerability revealed itself occasionally.

Drew will learn that things are never usually, as they appear. She also discovered shocking truths about herself. I sure never saw that one coming. March provided no warnings before dropping that bombshell. Drew’s conflicting emotions because of the shocking revelation jumped off the pages.

White Knight may not have been suspenseful as it predecessor, but it still had the ability to keep me on the edge of my seat as it had some exciting scenes. There were moments when I wondered if Drew’s identity would be revealed, subsequently placing her in danger. There were also moments where I worried about Cannon. Would his love for Drew place him in harm’s way?

I loved how the author delved into the world of the Mafia in this installment. I learnt a lot about the Casso family. She highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of being a part of this world.

Narration
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York collaborated on this recording. My first experience with their work was with Black Sheep, and I thought they did an excellent job then. This time was no different. I thought they captured the tone of the story well and it was a pleasure listening to them both.

Conclusion / Recommendation
Overall, a great story and one I would recommend to fans of the author, and for readers who love spicy and suspenseful romance.

This is the exciting conclusion to the Dirty Mafia duet and I was super excited to plug this into my ears after the first book ended in a heart pounding cliff hanger.

Once we move from the edge of the cliff, things settle down a little bit after a few truths are spilled. Cannon and Drew are on rocky ground initially but the depth of what they have between them seems so erase any ill feeling. Now that Cannon knows the reasons behind the lies things change between them.

Cannon’s disjointed relationship with his father takes a surprising turn and there are also a couple of jaw dropping plot twists that neither he nor Drew saw coming. When Drew is faced with the reality of being involved with a guy in a mob family, in the most confronting and frightening way, she is surprised at how fiercely she feels about protecting them all.

Things are changing day by day and in the midst of all the secrets and revelations one thing is true, she is madly in love with Cannon, her White Knight.

Fabulous conclusion to this exciting duet :-)

I love an author that is able to astound me; to render me dumbfounded and riveted as unforeseen situations and secrets are unveiled. With White Knight, Meghan March intensified the already heated chemistry between Cannon and Memphis; amplified the suspense rushing through the chapters and magnified the thrilling outcomes to biting events as they unfurled. She’s delivered a conclusion with a heartfelt ending that will entice and enthrall you.

Memphis is mine. For better or for worse.

Cannon’s allure—his domineering and commanding nature—doesn’t wane, it only becomes more profound. Complex and multifaceted, we’ve seen this hero be ruthless and merciless, but we now have the absolute delight of witnessing an uncharacteristically tender hearted and understanding side make an appearance. Newfound tender moments emerge, leaving you sighing in total bliss and swooning in complete pleasure as they overwhelm your emotions, making it easier to love this hero.

I excelled at hiding who I was from the world. Even more, I excelled at hiding my fears and my demons from myself. So, how in the hell did Cannon Danger Freeman find my heart anyway?

Devoted to procuring the answers to long-lived questions, Memphis finds herself moving further into a much darker, dangerous environment to have that closure she’s desperately wanted and her resolute nature is an admirable characteristic that thankfully continues in this duet. Innumerous mysteries and countless secrets continue to surround Memphis, but the bound knots begin to unravel, unveiling a more complex, multifaceted identity than we realise.

“Don’t promise me heaven, then put me through hell. I want a lifetime with you.”

I loved the increased intensity and heated chemistry between Cannon and Memphis. As the connection brewed and strengthened, the hidden layers within Cannon and Memphis surfaced, showing us more realistic characters with fears and insecurities that eventually allowed them to flourish into stronger characters. With a forbidden note used to enhance the connection, the bond carried an added enticement that made this couple’s love extra fiery!

Quick, though still riveting, White Knight contains more secrets in this conclusion that make it that little more enthralling and thrilling. I balled my fists and clenched my teeth in dire anticipation of finally receiving needed answers to my unending questions that tied this duet up beautifully. Meghan March is very easily becoming my favourite author for fast-driven but wonderfully executed suspense-filled romances.

5 WOW CROWNS

I should know by now to never expect anything from Meghan March. When Black Sheep ended, I really thought I knew where the story was going. I should have known. As an experienced March reader, I should have expected the unexpected, because that is what she delivered.

The chemistry heats up in White Knight, and if you thought Cannon and Drew were HOT in Black Sheep, get your fans ready. They are combustible.

This plot is filled with twist and turns, shocking revelations. I was kept on the edge of my seat the whole until the end. It is this reason that Meghan March is always a oneclick author for me.

The audiobooks was brilliant. I loved the narrators. Their voices were perfect for Drew and Cannon. They worked well together as a couple, and I loved the fluency and tone of their voices making a great audiobook.

This duet was so captivating! From the characters, to the secondary cameos, to the enthralling plot, I never wanted it to end

still love Sebastian.

White Knight definitely started right where the first book left off. We are still falling Cannon and Drew.. but some secrets are coming out as well. It was interesting to see more of the whole Romeo vs Juliet vibe that I was getting in the first book come to life. The whole mob vs mob was a smidge eye opening just to see that these two families were on a wild roller coaster ride. Hot and cold flashes all over the place - it's amazing how no one had whiplash.

Long story short, Drew/Memphis/idk remember what her real name is and Cannon fell even more in love. He was her protector through and through. She was becoming one with the family and definitely showing them that she belongs/is one of them. These two would do absolutely anything for one another because that's what true love is.

Ugh, these two were adorable. I really enjoyed the ending and now I'm intrigued to see what the hell everyone else is doing in this series. I think there were some spin offs or a possibility of novellas coming our way?? No idea, but I would be down to dive into those.

Overall, loved this little duet and will look forward to whatever comes my way bookwise.

I LIVE FOR CANNON!

I think that pretty much sums up everything I want to say in this review. I loved the characters! The plot was like a gorgeously intricate piece of art. The twists and turns were thrilling. As also, the attention to detail and execution were solid! Meghan March will forever be an automatic one click author for me. Her books are my catnip! Hahahahaha

Here’s what I loved:
Cannon is a super steady character. He’s concise and methodical in his approach to all things because that’s how life trained him. I loved that about him. He has a plan and he executes it. What the author does so well, is she gives great descriptions and writes in a way that you can visualize the characters and hear their inner voices.

The plot and execution of the storyline were a major win for win for me. The secondary characters were fabulous. I want more of them. And the ending was amazing. It was absolutely everything that I wanted. I was thorough entertained!

Overall, another fantastic experience from this phenomenal author. Recommended.

Of course with all of Meghan March books is the OMG effect. This book was even more, the cliff hanger she left from Black Sheep left you asking will Cannon protect Drew against his father Dom, what will happen? It never fails that Meghan had a trick up her sleeve, it is never what you think. Cannon & Drew was perfect the love they share the chemistry that was undeniable and how protective he was and determined that once and for all he would prove to Dom Casso he was not the unforgettable bastard child and he would do it with shedding the least blood. Well you ask how is that? Especially being part of a known crime boss Casso family and in the middle of a Mafia war. Will Cannon & Drew (Memphis) pull through this. Cannon was never a gangster he was always a businessman, he never wanted this life.

It was nice to see all the characters connected to Dom Casso all of his "bastard kids" and knowing the story behind them

*I received an audio review copy and I voluntarily provided this review.*

I couldn’t wait to start this book after the first book left my jaw dropping. Sadly for some reason this book didn’t grab me the way “ Black Sheep” did and this is such a hard review to write. I felt like something was missing as I listened to the story. I like Cannon but I wanted him to have more of a backbone when it came to Drew/Memphis. Certain questions were answered and we did have some shocking revelations as well. The epilogue was well done and I liked knowing what happened to all the characters. I really like the narration duo of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. They have some good chemistry and really seem to bring out the best in each other and make the story come alive.

“You’re my woman now, whether you like it or not.” “And I promise I’m going to make damn sure you fucking love it.”

“Whatever else happens, I won’t regret making this choice. I won’t regret choosing her.”

“I can handle anything you throw at me. Anything. If you think you’re going to break, you tell me, and I’ll hold you together. That’s what this is. You and me. The real thing.”

What a thrilling, thrilling ride!! White Knight is the heart-pounding and thrilling conculsion that we’ve all been waiting for!!!

White Knight picks up right where Black Sheep left off and I don’t know about you guys, but after the way Black Sheep ended, I’ve been dying to see what happens next. And let me tell you, White Knight does not disappoint and it leaves no stone unturned. White Knight takes you on one wild ride filled with unexpected twists and turns, ensuring that there won’t be a single dull moment. White Knight is fast paced and the chapters are short, making it impossible to put down and all consuming.

All that being said, there is more to White Knight than just danger, action and suspense. Yes, Meghan March kicks things up a notch when it comes to the swoon and romance. Cannon is the ultimate swoon-worthy alpha male and wild horses won’t be able to stop him from protecting the one that he loves. Cannon and Memphis are stronger than ever this time around and are in for the fight of their lives…

White Knight thrilled me and kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I loved the drama. I loved the action. I loved the danger and sexy good times. Black sheep left us on a cliffhanger so of course I needed White Knight ASAP. I can say that it did not disappoint. Perusal I will not give anything away. I still very much-loved Cannon and Drew I still liked. I say that because I have read the second book in a series before and ending up not loving/liking characters I previous have before.

Get ready, just because it is a second book does not mean there aren’t any more twist and turns. If you love Mafia books, which I for sure do, this duet will suck you into the mafia world and you won't want to leave!

White Knight is the conclusion of the story of Cannon and "Drew" and once again Meghan March has done a great job with the story of these characters and delivered readers a captivating and breathtaking story.

I liked this book more than the last one, I loved seeing Cannon and Drew closer together than ever and their solid relationship. I loved seeing old acquaintances and how Meghan March did a great job of linking all these characters together and I enjoyed seeing their dynamics throughout this book, even though I had a couple of characters that I wanted to beat for treating Cannon so badly.

And while I liked the heroine, who stole my heart in this duet was Cannon. He is one of those heroes I love reading in stories: he has a good heart, cares about those he loves (even some not deserving), and of course when he needs to know how to be threatening. To anyone used to this author's twists and turns, I think this duet didn't surprise me as much as the other books, but honestly the story was so well written and catchy that it wasn't a problem.

White Knight is one of those impossible-to-drop stories to come to an end and came to give these characters a fantastic ending.

„Don’t promise me heaven, then put me through hell. I want a lifetime with you.”

Meghan March proved once again that she’s second to none when it comes to alpha heroes and angsty stories. White Knight is a perfect conclusion for Drew and Cannon’s story. Full of heat, more twists and turns and many surprises, it keeps you at the edge of the seat with mouth agape and racing heart. What I loved the most? March once again led the story in a completely different direction than I expected. This author never ceases to amaze me!

Cannon will completely steal your hearts in this part. Believe me, what you felt for him in previous book was a childish crush. After White Knight you’ll be ready to leave your man and run off with Cannon into the sunset. We already know that he’s a total alpha. But this part of the duet shows his protective and a little vulnerable side, and that turned me into a puddle. Perfect man doesn’t exist, you say? Read this duet, hunny.

More action, more passion, more of everything. March continues and ends this intense rollercoaster with a bang. White Knight is addictive, completely captivating and totally unputdownable!

Cannon and Drew...Memphis....are back!!

Before you read further, I have to state that it is crucial you read Black Sheep (Dirty Mafia Duet #1) before diving into White Knight. This is not a standalone but a continuation to Cannon and Drew's story. And because this is a continuation I'm not going to dive deep into what the story is about, No one likes to be spoiled and there is potential for a hell of a lot of spoiling. Instead I'm going to give my views and my opinions on White Knight. It should come as no surprise that I was legit frustrated by the cliffhanger that Meghan March left us with at the end of Black Sheep.

Instead I'm going to give my views and my opinions on White Knight. It should come as no surprise that I was legit frustrated by the cliffhanger that Meghan March left us with at the end of Black Sheep. I couldn't' wait to dive into White Knight, I was literally dreaming up sceneraios, and they weren't all great.

White Knight starts up right where Black Sheep left off. I gained a bunch of respect for Cannon and the way he dealt with his father. He was the devil in sheep's clothing. Doing everything in his power to secretly protect the woman he has begun falling for. AHHH! I legit swooned in parts that weren't supposed to be swoonworthy! And that's all I'm going to say about that!

White Knight ups the heat factor compared to Black Sheep. Drew and Cannon are hot as hell, there chemistry is crazy sexy. I couldn't put this one down to save my life. It was always just one more page, and then just one more chapter. A never ending array of emotions. March delivered it all!

As for the twists and turns......SO FREAKING MANY! and that is what makes this review nearly impossible to write. So I'm going to leave you all by saying, If you love highly addicting duets with mystery, suspense, and sexy as sin love scenes, I highly recommend you pick up the Dirty Mafie Duet!!

“Whatever else happens, I won’t regret making this choice. I won’t regret choosing her.”

4.5 stars!

The final in the Dirty Mafia Duet, this book picks up immediately where Black Sheep left off, diving us right back into gritty world of the Casso crime family, and two lovers from different lives just trying to survive it.

Cannon and Drew fell hard for each other in the last book when she took a job at his club, secretly investigating his family and looking for a way to bring them down after the blaming them for death of her beloved father. Well, now her secret is out and everything is changing.

I can’t say much more about the storyline without spoiling the first book, but I will say that this book gave me all of the closure that I was looking for – and some that I didn’t even know that I wanted. The storyline moves quickly with twists and turns and a whole lot of intrigue and excitement. Surprises that I never saw coming, and scenes that had my jaw dropping open, it was all happening, and I couldn’t stop listening!

Fans of Meghan’s will be thrilled with the cameos in this book. Much-loved characters from her other series play a big part, and though you can read this book as a standalone, you’ll enjoy it so much more if you’ve read the Dirty Billionaire trilogy, the Dirty Girl duet, and even the Beneath series. It’s a fangirl’s dream, and having the background of the characters just makes it all so much more exciting.

And the romance! Damn. Cannon is a brilliant mix of sexy alpha and devoted, swoony romance hero, and together they are hot, passionate and beautifully emotional, and I just love them.

“You’re my woman now, whether you like it or not. … And I promise I’m going to make damn sure you fucking love it.”

There’s some fantastic character development in this book. Cannon, in particular, who has been struggling to find his place, really shines and I loved seeing him as the strong, badass hero that he is. And Drew is fantastic by his side. Powerful and resilient all on her own, she also gets the opportunity to show her strength as her life is turned upside down. I loved the way these characters’ stories unfolded, and together they are a romantic powerhouse!

“I can handle anything you throw at me. Anything. If you think you’re going to break, you tell me, and I’ll hold you together. That’s what this is. You and me. The real thing.”

Meghan March finished off this duet with a bang, tying up all of the lose ends and giving us a wonderful happy ending for these two fantastic characters. I loved it!

4.5 stars.

I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by Andie Arndt and Sebastian York, and they do a great job with it! Definitely one worth listening to.

Audiobook Review

Overall 4 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 3.5 stars

I couldn't wait to get to the conclusion of Cannon and Drew's story! White Knight picks up right where book 1, Black Sheep, left off and should only be read/listened to after finishing book 1.

There was lots of action in this one as secrets are revealed and revelations are made. Fans of Meghan March will get lots of cameos and screen time with several of her previous couples as well. The story was well paced and I was excited to see how things would play out. Cannon was pretty much everything I love in a book boyfriend, and his loyalty, intelligence, and protectiveness made me swoon. I especially loved that how understanding and mature he was regarding his relationship with Drew. Once Cannon was in, he was all in, and I appreciated that there were no silly misunderstandings or overreactions. The story itself wrapped up well and there were a few surprises I didn't see coming to tie everything together. Cannon's storyline with his father finished a little too sweetly, but overall it all worked together really well.

The chapters were more evenly distributed this time between Sebastian York and Andi Arndt and they both did a phenomenal job with their performances. York was perfect as Cannon, but he also showed his range voicing other male and female characters. His narration as Dom was especially amazing. This was a great conclusion to the duet and I can't wait to go back and listen/read some of Meghan March's previous books!

The cliffhanger from Black Sheep was wrapped up way too easily and quickly. I was disappointed with the mafia aspect. There was mafia drama, but it wasn't gritty enough. Cannon (horrible name BTW) was too focused on staying on the right side of the law. Sorry that's not what I want in a mafia romance. I didn't want him to be a ruthless killer but didn't want him to be such a goody two shoes either.

I didn't understand why he was in line for being head of the family. Yes, he was Dom's son but was never truly involved in mafia business. It seemed unlikely to me that others would be willing to follow him.

I wish I had known before reading this that several characters were from other series. Everything that happened made sense and nothing was spoiled, but I would have preferred to read those stories first. I wish more details had been given about Cannon and Creighton's relationship and wish they had a more heartfelt reunion.

More details should have been given about the revelation with Memphis. It wasn't necessary but would have been appreciated.

Wow, just fucking WOW!!! Meghan never ceases to amaze me with her words and the stories that unfold.....she definitely floored me with this one! White Knight was intense, thrilling, spellbinding and had me gripping my tablet from the twists and turns that absolutely left me mind-blown! After reading Black Sheep I had theories of what was to come with this book and let me just say that I was left gasping from the bombshells that landed page after page, that never in a million years would I have guessed the outcome! This is one book that will leave you begging for so much more!
