Play Space Campaign

Join Mundo Verde PADRES play space campaign with an investment in creating exciting places for the children of Mundo Verde to play, explore, and learn.

Prior fundraising efforts brought us improvements such as the Mundo, sandbox, and musical instruments along with an additional $27,000 which is dedicated to further improvements of the play space. The 2018-19 play space campaign will bring us MORE exciting outdoor play features!

With your help, we will bring great new play opportunities: two Berliner Cloud 9 swings and a 12-foot Berliner climbing structure with a slide called the Double Boo. The Double Boo also has interior play space for imagination play. The play space campaign will also fund a natural fallen tree climber to fill in the space between the Mundo and the Casita. It would also enhance existing areas by adding some shade and a natural wood play kitchen in the Casita area.

Throughout the school year, Padres aims to raise $125,000 to complete the play spaces at the front of the school. By the end of 2018, our goal is to raise $75,000. Every donation, no matter how small, is meaningful and impactful and brings us one step closer to achieving our goal of providing fun, new experiences in outdoor play for all the kids of Mundo Verde. Once the campaign for play spaces is on track to fund the improvements at the front of the campus, Padres will expand its efforts and look for options on how to make the west side of the campus space more appropriate for sports and physical education classes. Padres is working with the school to identify the best and most sustainable options and to secure zoning approval for the improvements.
