Welcome to Market Center's online engagement! Market Center Community Development Corporation (MCCDC) wants YOU to partner with us to create a Strategic Revitalization Plan for Market Center, Baltimore's historic retail district. This plan aims to be beneficial to all who live, work, own businesses and properties, attend school, worship, and visit Market Center. (See below for a map of Market Center boundaries)

We initiated a series of focus groups, over several weeks, beginning on March 21st, 2019. We engaged groups of artists, property owners/developers, business owners, residents, and employees/students to get insight into their vision for Market Center, some challenges, and opportunities. Towards the end of these focus groups, each group came up with and rated several project ideas that MCCDC could submit in an Interim Strategic Revitalization Plan to the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development for funding consideration under the Baltimore Regional Neighborhood Initiative (BRNI) .

In order to stretch our nets farther, and get as much input as possible, we're opening up the opportunity for other stakeholders to rate the current project ideas through this online Project Rubric. You will have the opportunity to vote on projects from all focus groups.
