She’s his obsession. He’s her dark secret.

Mist
Our secret tore us apart and turned us into enemies.
He doesn’t know that I’m keeping a bigger secret from him.
So when he returns demanding to rule the mafia business with me, I fight back.
We can’t coexist when there’s so much blood between us. Or so I tell myself as I fall harder and deeper for him all over again.
I need to stop before the blood on my hands destroys us.

Hawk
She thinks I don’t know.
She thinks she can hide just because I left her alone for fifteen years.
See, I never left.
I’ve been watching, scheming, and calculating until the right moment to strike.
I’m done lurking in the shadows.
Our secret isn’t scary. I am.

Misted is a dark mafia romance, romantic suspense, and a killer romance. For a better understanding of Team Zero's assassination world, you might want to read the previous books in the series. Misted is a second chance romance, has no cliffhanger and no cheating, and ends on a HEA. Due to language and sexual content, this is advised for mature audience only.

Strong Badass Female Assassin!

This book was the best in the series so far. It was definitely the most romantic and the romance between the two main characters, Mist and Hawk was unbelievably passionate and explosive. I give it 5 steamy stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I am certainly seeing Mist is a new light after reading this book. In the past books she was seen as a Mafia Madam, Ghosts #2 who is detoxing with him, the woman Shadow refers to as an “old hag” even though he is older.

This book shows that Mist is still pretty young and she is shown in flashbacks from the time she was first kidnapped at thirteen. It shows how her and Hawk met in the Pit and came together and fell in love and what happened between them to pull them apart. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but there is plenty of assassin action in the book.

There is intrigue, Mist has a stalker who is using her feelings for Hawk against her. The stalker is determined to keep them apart and to ruin her life. This book also shows more about the Pit as an organization and Hades makes an appearance. I really can’t understand why this group of top assassins can’t kill Hades, but I wish they would. Apparently he surrounds himself with security or something, but all of Team Zero seem to have minions that they trained and the people they trained have minions, and so on. Since they all hate Hades, you would think they could get all the minions together and get rid of him.

This book also introduced Ink who was brought up in the last book but in this book he was a larger presence. I hope the next book is about him because he seems fascinating. He is smart, has a lot of minions, is very handsome and Hades can’t break him. So he sounds brilliant and I can’t wait to hear his story.

OMG.... I WANT TO CRY. THIS BOOK GAVE ME THE GOOD BUTTERFLIES ON MY STOMACH.

Great book, good job for the author and anyone else who part of making this good book because JOB WELL DONE!!!! GREAT GREAT BOOK.

‼️‼️‼️ACTION LOVE MYSTERIOUS HOT SAFE LOVE STORY. Yeah....

‼️‼️‼️BOTH VIRGINS....

‼️‼️‼️A LITTLE Dark romance but not too much.

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OTT POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE FOR SURE! The heroine is possessive too but not too much like the hero...

“I DON’T KNOW IF I WANT TO JAM HIS TEETH TO THE BACK OF HIS SKULL OR SPANK HER RAW FOR LETTING HIM F*CKING PUT HIS HANDS ON HER. THAT B*STARD WHO WILL SOON BE DEAD ISNT ONLY LOOKING BUT HE’S ALSO TOUCHING HER. UNDER MY F*CKING EYES.”
(Only her thigh tho but they weren’t officially YET.)

“I JUST TRIED TO IGNORED IT, BUT I SAW F*CKING RED WHENEVER YOU WERE WITH ANY MAN.”

Not too many jealous scenes from heroine tho...

MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO.

‼️‼️‼️‼️ DRAMA WITH OM AND OW BUT NOT TOO ANNOYING... the om and ow never be in a relationship with them, only friends....

‼️‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS SASSY AND BADASS. SHE KNOWS HOW TO FIGHT BACK 👍🏻👌

‼️‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES 🥺🥺🥺

‼️‼️‼️‼️ THE HERO ALWAYS SAYS TO THE HEROINE. YOU ARE MINE. MINE. MINE.

“You’re mine and I’ll bring the world to its knees to protect whats mine.”

“Is mine.” I pinch her n*pples again. This is also mine. YOU. ARE. MINE. ITS TIME YOU LEARN WHATS MINE F*CKING MEANS.”

‼️‼️‼️‼️ NO CHEATING.

‼️‼️‼️‼️ IT HAS SEPARATION. 15 YEARS....

All because of BIG MISUNDERSTANDING.

I KNOW WOW THATS TOO LONG!!!!
But trust me the big misunderstanding was reasonable for both of them. And in the end they make it through and finally have the talked. THEY LOST TIMES TOGETHER BUT IN THE END THEY HAVE THE BIG HAPPY ENDING... beautiful.

NO ANY ONE ELSE.
I know wow seriously? No one else that long?

YES BOTH ARE VERY LOYAL TO EACH OTHER AND DIDN’T EVEN GO OR TOUCH ANYONE ELSE THAT LONG. “I DON’T EVEN SEE OTHER MEN. I NEVER DID AND NEVER WILL. NO ONE IS HAWK FOR ME.”

“I HAD NO ONE. I TOLD YOU, YOU’RE THE ONLY F*CKING WOMAN FOR ME.”

They grow up together, through thick and thin since their young age together they been through it all, not normal. So it’s understandable when they both didn’t go to anyone else. They’ve only trusted each other!!!

‼️‼️‼️‼️ THE HERO IS VERY MUCH OBSESSED TO THE HEROINE... “SHE’S THE ESSENCE OF MY LIFE. WITHOUT HER, THE MERE ACT OF BREATHING SUCKED MY SOUL INTO A BLACK, EMPTY HOLE. I ONLY RESURRECTED BACK TO LIFE WHEN SHE RETURNED TO MY IMMEDIATE VICINITY AND SHOT TO MY F*CKING VEINS.”

‼️‼️‼️OTHER DRAMA IS ABOUT THEIR PAST AND THEIR JOB AND THE WORK. Not too annoying...

‼️‼️‼️ HAPPY ENDING!!!!

Married and have twins that are so adorable in their extended epilogue 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

I usually avoid second chances romance books because i HATE the time apart.
This time around i give it a try because i already read all the books in this series and i was curious about their story.

This story is sad, because what happened to them 15 year ago it's truly ugly...but at the same time it was intense, i loved the way Hawk loves her, how possessive he is.

I had struggles liking Mist only because i didn't agree with the decisions she made, i think she could tell him what was going on soon, not after 15 years, yeah she was protecting BUT THE LOVE THEY HAD AS TEENS WAS SO STRONG AND beautiful, he deserved to know, they could do something to be together years ago...:(

Anyway finally i saw passion in this book, true LOVE,they were fire together, i saw it only with Crowed and a little in Shadow book.

This is my second favorite in this series after Crow.

Oh i need to say one thing, this author give an extra epilogue only if you join her newsletter , well, i don't want that, i think it's not right to do that.

4.5 amazing stars for this dark and gritty second chance, enemies-to-lovers mafia romance. Mist’s and Hawk’s story is dark and intense and one full of secrets, betrayal, obsession, and love. Be prepared to be pulled into the story from page one as this book grips you right from the beginning and will not let you go until you finish that last page.

Mist’s and Hawk’s emotional journey as a couple started over 15 years ago - when they were both a part of the Omega experiments as kids and trained to be assassins. The two forged a bond, but it wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows for these two. To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Mist as she wasn’t that big on my radar in the other Team Zero books. (Note: this book, while a part of a series, can be read as a standalone) I shouldn’t have worried because she fast became one of my favorite heroines. She is strong, selfless, a fighter, and resilient. Then of course there is Hawk who sees Mist as his “salvation in my damnation”. What’s not to love about this sexy assassin? He is obsessive, broody, protective, and is what you would call the “strong silent type”. As a couple, they have some intense chemistry and what these two went through both individually and as a couple is nothing short of heart wrenching. My heart broke many time over for them and I may have obliterated an entire box of tissues.

One of the things that I like about this book is that it is told from a dual POV as getting into the minds of both Mist and Hawk is integral to understanding their relationship. I really like how the author weaved their story by writing mostly in the present, but also had flashback chapters interspersed throughout the book. It was a great way to show how their relationship started and what led up to present day. This book is fast-paced and kept me on my toes with all the revelations, the action, and the suspense. I received Misted for free and I am looking forward to the next book in this dark romantic suspense series.

Intense and compelling, this book quickly entangled me in its dark and twisty web. The book focuses on Mist and Hawk's story. It's a read that is gripping, gritty, raw, emotional, painful, action-packed, sometimes ugly, and filled with heartache. This book can be read as a standalone and it will still deliver an excellent reading experience. In my opinion though, I think you will miss out on the depth and richness that can only be achieved by reading the full series. Characters reappear, events are referenced and there is an overall story line that continues to unfold during each book. This angst filled read is a poster child for "Looks Can Be Deceiving" and to not make assumptions. As someone that has read the previous books, I was still completely thrown for a loop by the stunning revelations about this couples shared history and about the characters themselves. Mist was so much more than you ever anticipated. Her strength, love and endurance were incredible and she fast tracked herslf to the top of my favorite heroine list. Hawk was hot, alpha and broody. In short, he was my kind of swoony. Together these two made a truly melt your heart and touch your soul couple. I feel that this is a romance that should not be missed. Of my own accord I am posting a sincere review.

Friends to lovers to enemies, but being enemies isn't allowing you to live it is only allowing you to exist.
I was the most excited about these two, Hawk and Mist. I knew there was a past between them but need thought it was that sad and twisted.
I had seen Mist as the old hag Shadow called her. She had more attitude than I liked in the previous books. This book changed my view of her. She was only acting that way to protect her heart and the boy she loved as a teen. She became the protector for the girls at Least Salon, just as someone had been hers.
Hawk had a hatred for Mist but an obsession for her at the same time. He is angry and hell bent in making her world miserabke, until he finds out the reasons behind Mist's actions.
Mist's stalker is not who I thought, that was one of Rina's twists I love. Expect the unexpected.
I love how the other characters we have met previously come back to play a part in this story.
I am interested to know what Ink's story is, and as always I waiting for Zero to take Hades down.

“Life has always started and ended with you .”

OMG! This book was the best book out of Team Zero so far ! Mist and Hawks story is dark and intense and full of so much angst ! The secrets, betrayal obsession and heartache definitely had my heart pumping the whole way through ! Also love how this story was told in a dual POV of Hawk and Mist and I really liked how the author had flashbacks of the past weaved into the story and we got to see into their minds and what they went through when they were younger I thought that was absolutely brilliant! I could literally feel the emotions that Mist and Hawk were feeling and how much they loved each other. I am so glad that Ink is getting his own story I am absolutely fascinated with him and am so thrilled that he gets a book ! He is definitely my new sexy psycho book boyfriend obsession! Another brilliant 5 star must read ! I received an arc copy for my honest review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OMG! This story is absolutely fantastic!! This isn’t
Your run of the mill romance read, this is a story about 2 people who live and breathe for each other!! Things happened in the past and they were
Separated. Only that is only existing. Neither one will have any feelings except the day to day living they must endure. The hopes and dreams that they had for each other go up in smoke. But dear reader, all is not lost! An HEA does actually exsist! But not after some grueling twits and turns. You will not want to miss reading this!!

Take a deep breath, get ready the wine and some tissues, settle in and start to read!

When I first started reading about Team Zero, Misty always appeared to be the quiet, no-nonsense 'Mother' to the ladies in the Club. There was nothing that spectacular about her character, she fought with Shadow, was on good terms with Ghost but was never close to anyone.

Misted - opens a whole new world about Misty! You never know what a person has gone through in life, what deep dark secrets they are keeping to their chest.

Misty and Hawk are my new favourite couple! They have been through so much - obsession, pain, betrayal, love, friends, lovers, enemies...they have been through it all. As with all Rina Kent's - it will be raw, gritty, intense but so so good.

This book was a great read. Although this book is part of the series, each book focus's on the relationship of one couple. This couple has a deep connection, both trying to protect each other. There's a chemistry and a bond that can never be broken. The other characters also plays a part in each other's lives, like a close family. There's plenty of heat too!

Hawk is just 😋😋
I liked Mist but she got on my nerves so many times, especially when she didn’t just tell Hawk the reasons why she ‘betrayed him’ and when she was trying to sacrifice herself.
But other than that, it was a really good book

Misted certainly starts off with a bang from the very first page. Just like the others in this series, I was hooked. I had so been looking forward to Mist's story.

Mist and Hawk are two very complicated people. They have quite a bit of bad blood to work through and definitely don't take it easy on each other. The book was very emotional and dark considering their history. The fine line between love and hate began to blur until they finally had to face their emotions as much as their enemies.

The plot was amazing, emotions were raw, suspense was edgy, and the ending was fantastic. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Hot, hot, hot, I love Mist (old hag) she is soooo strong and she takes care of her man no matter what. Although Hawk doesn’t know she’s taking care of him. Hawk and Mist have always loved each other although he didn’t know it! Mist and Hawk fight for that love with others and each other in this book. The rest of team zero is there also. Go on an adventure. Read this hot, hate/lov, with dark secrets and find out which wins! Hate or Love?

I read this book as an arc and gave it 5 flying stars

Darkly Emotional Sexy Mafia Romance

Misted was AMAZING❤️☺️❤️
Just know this might be Rina’s BEST book to date!
It is packed with action, hate, betrayal, love, killer kinky sexy times, and every emotion imaginable!

Mist was a character that I never really liked or understood. She was the Ice Queen, but very protective of the girls who worked for her! Then there was the mysterious Hawk who had been locked in The Pit for 15 Years!! This is their story!

I will warn you this book made me cry! Their backstory is heartbreaking!! What made Mist into the Ice Queen she appears to be all makes sense. I cannot go into all the details and twists because that's all part of the fun!! Like Lured, this book delves deeper into BDSM, with both consenting adults enjoying the darker side of sex. Power play is necessary for all that these characters have survived! This book demonstrates the extremely fine lines of love, hate, and obsession!!

I was so excited to read Mist & Hawks story - and it didn’t disappoint! This series crescendoed with this one for me - Hawk was just so damn drool worthy.

“I gasp at the sting of his hand against my arse. The shock shoots straight to my pulsating core. My nipples harden like two diamonds and throb against the table. I hate how much this side of him turns me on and how much I have no control over it.”

(Mmmmmmmmmmmm bites bottom lip).

I love that their relationship started as young love with all the sweetness that comes with it *Hugs?*.

“Even if the light never finds you, I will.”

Yes, all the Team Zero stories are fairly similar in the way that they all have some yummy sexy Alpha - tragic back stories and steamy sex scenes. They are all finding their way through life and appeasing “Hades” until they get off Omega. They all end with a HEA.

“This woman saved my life once upon a time, but she’s been killing me ever since”.

I enjoyed Mist as the MC and it was nice to see the softer side of her, after getting tastes of her hard assed, put together - character in the previous stories.

Who’s next!?

I also loved all the poetic paragraphs at the beginning of each chapter.

“You set my heart on fire and watched while it turned to ashes”.

“If it keeps you alive, I’d rip my own heart out and chop it to pieces.”

“I’m bent on destroying you, so why am I being wrecked in the process?”

Another awesome story from the Omega Team Zero series as it continues to get down right dirty. It is filled with an enormous amount of raw emotions and gut-wrenching challenges for the team. In the previous book, it was determined Hawk was to be released instead of Ink from the Pit by Hades. Mist was a tad hesitant but relieved to hear the great news of his impending freedom as their history begins with her initial entry into the Pit with Shadow and Ghost. She endured the most gruesome things in the Pit and kept it a secret from Hawk to keep him safe for fifteen years.
Ink was released and determined to find Mist because he was told she betrayed him and his reasons for being kept in the Pit. It appears revenge turned into renewed love where there was no depths too deep.
There are many secrecy, betrayal and stalking among the Team Zero members that leaves the question of who can you trust? The plot is intricate and full of suspense and danger, so you will not be able to put the book down! I’m definitely looking forward to reading Ink’s story as he is the dark, twisted and sadistic assassin killer.

5 stars!! Mist and Hawk are my absolute FAVORITE of the series thus far!!

This is the 4th book in the “Team Zero” series. This book can be read as a stand alone but I think the backstory will give you a little confusion. Just start from the beginning!!

Omg I was not a big Mist fan prior to this book but damn I have definitely changed my mind!! Hawk is sexy as sin and exactly perfect. I don’t think he is messed up in the head either like some of the other guys. He is just super possessive and caring but will snipe a man no problem. Lol. And these two together is fireworks! True love!!

“She used to be my heaven. Now, she’s a disease with no fucking cure.”

I like how the more we go with this series the more we find out about Hades and how shit runs. I am super curious about Ink and Flame. I can’t wait for their books. I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was fast paced but also these two have a history and therefore we were able to travel back in the past to their journey.

Superb writing skills, great plot, characters you love to hate and hate to love make this a definite 5 star read!!

5 STARS

Team Zero Series continues with book number five, a new standalone, second-chance, dark mafia romance, Misted by Rina Kent! I have been completely obsessed with the members of Team Zero ever since I read Crowed. I have been quick to snatch up every single release since! Misted is a part of a series but all books in the series can be read as a standalone. I have enjoyed all of the books in the series thus far, but Misted, WOW! I am completely blown away with our FIRST ruthless lady of Team Zero, and she has most definitely met her match with Hawk!

Told in dual POV, Mist and Hawk’s relationship started years ago when they were both thrown in the hell named The Pit. If you have been reading the series you’ll know what I’m talking about, if not then let’s just say it’s a horrible, horrible place run by a despicable man named Hades. The two forged a bond while in the Pit training to be assassins and going through Omega experimentations.

Until Mist betrays Hawk.

For 15 years these two have stayed away from each other. For 15 years the hate has built and built and built. But now Hawk is back, and he wants to make Mist hurt as much as she hurt him. But what Hawk doesn’t know is everything that happened years ago, happened for a reason. And it’s not the one he’s thinking.

So when Ghost leaves town and calls Hawk in to help with the warehouses and Le Salon in his absence, Mist will be forced to come face to face with the man that hates her, and the man that she’s loved from afar for the better half of her life.
“She used to be my heaven. Now, she’s a disease with no fucking cure.”

WOW! So I have to be honest, I am completely in love with all of Team Zero but I must say, prior to this book… I did NOT like Mist… like at all. I have no clue how in the world she did it but Rina completely changed my opinion of the “old hag” in Misted. Kent is still a new-ish author with six releases under her belt and a whole lot more coming soon but over the last few releases, I have watched her writing and her style develop and absolutely excel and with Misted, she killed it! Absolutely wonderful!
“Your madness is my drug and I keep falling like an insane person in the asylum.”

I love how the story flipped back and forth between the past and present, while sometimes that can get confusing, the pages were well marked so you knew exactly when and where each scene was taking place. Everything flowed really cohesively.

Mist, now like I said I didn’t care for her at first but watching her with Hawk and then finding out WHY she did what she did in the past and EVERYTHING that had happened that led up to her doing what she did, GAHHH. My heart broke for her, and for Hawk. She’s strong, resilient, loyal to a fault, and an all-around badass b***h!
“I want to smother her, own her, and become the fucking air she breathes.”

Hawk we really didn’t know too much about, he was being held captive by Hades up until recently so we didn’t really know anything about him until he showed up to “help” Mist in Ghost’s absence. But we quickly find out, he’s alpha all the way! He’s quiet, so when he speaks you know it’s important, strong, broody, protective, and extremely in love with Mist even though he wants to hate her so, so bad for the wrongs that she has done to him.
“That wasn’t torture. That was my gradual descent to fucking insanity.”
These two… there were just so much betrayal, pain, and secrets between them that the love that was there (that had ALWAYS been there) was shoved to the back. Their relationship is volatile at times but man oh man did it make for some sizzling chemistry! They have been through so, so much that you can’t help but root for them to FINALLY make it TOGETHER! Trust me, keep the tissues on standby because there are a couple of scenes that will break you down, guys!

The steamy scenes were smoking hot, but the book wasn’t overfilled with so much sex either that it would make you want to skim. Oh, and can I just say that table scene… when you read it, you’ll know EXACTLY what I am talking about, change of panties, please! 🔥🔥🔥
“This will be mine.” He thrusts another finger inside my slick entrance so I’m full with him. “This has always been mine. The sooner you accept that, the better.”

The ending… GAHHHH! Be still my heart. If any characters deserved a happy ending, it was these two, and they most definitely got it.
“I choose you. Even if I’m fucking dying, I’ll choose you over myself, Hellion.”
There’s action, suspense, angst (oh my, the angst!), awesome well developed main characters as well as secondary characters, and so, so much more! I loved seeing Shadow (#ShadowsMineILickedHim), and I can NOT wait for the rest of Team Zero to get their stories especially Flame and Ink, there’s something dark and devious about those two. But I REALLY can’t wait for the little psycho barbie doll, Scar, to get her story, I have a feeling that one is going to be CRAZY!

Obviously, I’m a fan of #TeamZero and I am beyond ready for the next installment in this kickass series, and to FINALLY see Team Zero come together to bring Hades down for good!

I highly recommend Misted, as well as the rest of Team Zero!

Misted

Rina Kent gives us our first female Team Zero story with Misted. Both Mist and Hawk are both first generation Team Zero and had a kinship from the beginning. It grew to be love as they got older as you see with all the flashbacks throughout the book. Although being under Hades was never a good thing. The relationship ended between the two with hatred as the main factor. Even after all the years that have gone by that hatred remains between them but for two different reasons. These two are such badasses and is my fave couple.

This book as I’ve said before is very Bourne Identity-ish as the members of Team Zero are made to be killing machines by Hades and his lackeys with the use of a drug called Omega.

The passion between Hawk and Mist jump from the pages of this book. Their feelings for each other is so volatile. There is a thin line between love and hate as these two are teetering on that line. Misted is action packed but not lacking the romance in this romantic suspense. I love this series as it keeps you wondering, guessing and hoping that they finally bring the mysterious Hades down. Rina Kent has pulled out all the punches with this one. Misted will have you feeling all sorts of emotions as you follow the journey of Hawk and Mist. Start this series today!

4.5 Sadistic Stars!

Wow, I didn't think I could ever like Mist, but the Author has changed my way of thinking with her addictive and gritty story of Hawk and Mist. I could not put this one down, it had me hooked. There is so much I want to say, but I don't want to give anything away. This story is complete with sexiness surrounded in dark themes, it was emotional and twisted, it was intense and unique ~ I ❤ Team Zero in all it's dark glory!

I really enjoyed this book. Team Zero is dark but has overwhelming love and loyalty between such abused people. Team Zero members are scary violent people with a heart. I loved finding out why Mist was so cold and controlled and what her true relationship and secret was with Hawke. If you are into this series don not miss this one.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mist aka Hellion and Hawk have suffered so much. 15 years of separation, evil, pain and having to live in the shadows will definitely take a toll on the reader.

One thing about this series is you can't even think what will be on the next page. Sure this is a standalone but trust me...you will need to read the previous like you need to breathe.

It's twisted, sad, scary, heartfelt and will p*ss you off. At one point, I found myself saying what did these two do for all the things being thrown at them. Then you get to the end and find that you can breath again. All the bad they endured has lead them to that ending and what an ending it is. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
