Crews fought a passenger bus fire at the South Bend Regional airport Monday afternoon.

The bus driver tells WSBT at least 15-16 passengers were on the bus when it started smoking as he pulled into the airport.

A passenger tells Kelli Stopczynski she heard a "pop" that sounded like a tire blowing out. She says the bus then filled with smoke.

The bus was just arriving to South Bend from Indianapolis.

Everyone was able to exit the bus safely. A couple passengers are being treated for smoke inhalation.
