Nobody was hurt but a senior center under construction was damaged by a roof fire on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire began shortly after 12:30 p.m. and appeared to start when a worker was cutting steel and sparks ignited nearby roofing insulation material, according to a witness at the scene.
Construction workers tried to knock down the fire with a fire extinguisher, but high winds exacerbated the flames and led to the deployment of several area fire companies, including those from Horsham, Warrington, and Montgomery Townships.
The fire was brought under control after roughly an hour. Stay tuned to www.TheReporterOnline.com for more information on this developing story.
