NWAESC(2095)---NWA Math Forum

Collective inquiry is the process in which educators engage as they make significant decisions. Rather than making decisions on the basis of mindless precedent ("This is how we have always done it.") or personal preference ("This is how I like to do it."), they begin by building shared knowledge or learning together, thus it is a collective endeavor. Inquiry simply means we are asking and answering questions together." Richard DuFour

Northwest Arkansas Education Service Cooperative and the University of Arkansas Center for Math and Science Education are partnering to host the Northwest Arkansas Math Forum - A process of collective inquiry. This forum is an open invitation to join a collaborative group of passionate mathematics educators dedicated to finding answers - to the most difficult questions - in mathematics education today. Topics will include (but are not limited to): AR Math QuEST, curriculum, assessment, instruction, and professional development. Teachers, facilitators, administrators, specialists…all are encouraged to come and connect with a wider community of mathematics educators to gain perspective and insight. Follow up forum opportunities will be available.
