Since opening in 2014, Bradford North Foodbank is growing and showing positive productivity and sustainability by meeting the needs with those in crisis within our community. Our Foodbank Centres are a space for those to find help, support and short-term food supplies.
Our Foodbank Centres are predominantly run by dedicated valued volunteers that not only prepare food parcels which are safe and nutritionally balanced in line with the NHS dietitian, but they also provide free advice to those in need signposting clients to the relevant help streams. Short-term fixes such as providing food for those in poverty are a doorway for long-term sustainability with increased support by various localized networks, such as supermarkets, referral agencies, schools, businesses and individuals helping to get people out of poverty.
We are so thankful and value your ongoing support and donations which has made a huge difference in our community. So far, we have distributed 4.7 tonnes of food from April 2019. We would like to encourage more local businesses to support our projects so we can tackle poverty together and help those in need. “Without your love, prayer and support none of this would happen.” Thank you from all of us at Bradford North Foodbank.
