This is of course my book, so I love it. Alluring Ties was by far my hardest work to write so far. I took 2 characters that everyone fell in love, but who were never supposed to have a book, and wrote 7 years in 13 chapters.
I love it and writing it took me on an emotional roller coaster.
I hope my readers love it just as much and are pleased with what I gave them.

So have you read Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction yet?? If not what are you waiting for? You need to read those before this one so you know who the book is about. Alluring Ties is the story of how Lexi and Erik met Bradi. It is the story of Bradi and Micah, how they met and fell in love. It is the story of Erik's first relationship and how it impacted his life and future choices. There is so much emotion in these 2 stories, laughter, tears of sadness, tears of joy and some darn hot sex. You get Bradi's pov and Erik's pov and with both of these, Lexi's steadfast true friendship. This book spans the 7 years from the first of college to the present, where the story ends in Alluring Seduction. And Micah's mom, Olivia, was fantastic. So don't think just because it is not about the band that it won't be any good because you would be wrong. So plan on reading this book while waiting for the next installment of the Bayou Stix series, you will not be disappointed!! I absolutely loved it Skye, thank you for giving me a chance to read and review for you. Note: there are some m/m scenes in here so don't say I didn't warn you.

I gave this book 5 stars.
This is book 2.5 in the Bayou Stix series.
This has sexual scenes and strong language. And a M/M scene (a very HOT M/M scene) **fans self**
This is Bradi and Eric's story. Bradi and Eric are not together but this is their story as they build relationships with each other and with significant others.
Told from the past to the present.
This takes place in college, when Bradi first meets Eric and Lexi.
And Micah is Eric's roommate.
This is a novella that goes back and forth from Bradi's POV to Eric's POV.
It shows the relationships that they form and the struggles that they went through in their lives while still in college.
Bradi meets Micah at a party where she went to with Lexi and Eric. She is drawn to him, but tries to keep her distance because of the strong attraction that she can't seem to shake. He finally comes up to her and they start talking and it is history from there. They travel over a few bumps in the rode that we get to see and experience. And we get to see how the bond between Bradi and Micah is formed. You get to see more of Micah and get to really understand him. I really liked getting to know him better. Micah is amazing and loving and just down right perfect for Bradi and we get to see this bloom into a beautiful relationship.
Eric is Lexi's bff and when it starts off it shows how he struggles with letting people close to him because he is gay. He doesn't want to be hurt and he is afraid if he opens up to someone that will happen. He struggles through a relationship with a guy named Joe, and he falls in love. He also has a very HOT & sexy sex scene with a man named Rhys. Now I won't give any details out or any spoilers, but all I have to say is this is the best sex scene I have read in a LONG TIME! My face is still hot and red. It left me speechless and just utterly without function of my breathing!
That being said. This was a great book, in book one and two we fall in love with Bradi her mouth, her feistiness and her down right this is how it is attitude. As well as Eric he is so sweet and has such a soft side, but he is also very alpha male when it comes to his friends and what is his.. the two best friends that don't seem to get enough in the spotlight are now IN THE spotlight! And you won't be disappointed.
You will go on a journey with both of these amazing people together and separately.
In the last chapter of the book it is present. And we get to see how everyone is in the here and now. Like Jessie and Blue (love them!!) and it ends perfectly with me wanting more!!!
Skye I need you to write a few more chapters just for me!! LOL
Thank you for your beautiful Novella .. We for sure needed to see more of Bradi and Eric and that is just what you gave us! I can't wait to read the next book in the series. But I know for sure I will be going back and reading this one over again!!! You outdid yourself. <3

I was lucky to get an ARC of this book and boy am I glad I did!
Alluring Ties gives us the story of Bradi and Erik, those two crazy, lovable best friends that Lexi relied on and whom we met in Alluring Turmoil.
Skye was able to jam pack 7 years of their lives, as told in both of their POVs, into just 13 chapters beginning from their start in college until the present in Alluring Seduction. She did this in such an amazing way that we get to see situations that allow us to really know them and love them even more than we did before.
This novella gives us the story behind Erik and Lexi's first encounter with Bradi and how they ultimately became best friends. It allows us to see into Bradi and Micah's meeting and ultimate love story. We get to find out about the impact that Erik's first love had on the decisions he makes in his life.
There are laughs, tears, and the occasional situation that makes you want to throw your kindle out the window, but in the end, you can't help but love each and every one of these characters.
Thank you, Skye, for this amazing novella. Now I can't wait for the next novel in this fantastic series.

This book ties in with Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction. WOW is all I can say about this book! It's amazing and gives so much details that you wanted to know from Brandi's and Erik's past. Brandi is a strong and independent woman that has had a rough life and trust no man because of a fear. She met Micah at college at a party and fell for him instantly. Micah is her everything. Erik is a strong caring man that is the rock and big brother for Lexi. He trusted one man with his heart and it got crushed. He decided flings would be better but that was until he met Alex. Now that he has Alex he wouldn't want his life any other way. This is a must read I can't wait for the next book!

Skye Turner has put the icing on the cake! Alluring Ties has a perfect mixture of comedy, romance, love and hot sensual scenes between consensual adults.
Skye has written a novella that brings the early years of Lexi, Eric, Bradi and Micah together. Lexi and Eric meet Bradi (Lexi's college roommate) and their meeting will bring tears to your eyes. Bradi is shocked to learn that the amazingly hot man standing in front of her is gay. Of course Lexi can't stop the tears forming in her eyes and she watches the exchange between Bradi and Eric. Micah, Micah, Micah...oh where to begin with him (swoon). He is a man after my own heart. He sees Bradi and doesn't stop fighting for her since day one. Yes Bradi makes her mistakes but he lets her make them and she still comes back to him. Eric is such an awesome friend to Lexi and Bradi. All Eric wants is to find love and be happy just like his friends.
Yes you will find some M/M scenes but they are tastefully done and did not make me uneasy at all. They were even a little hot if I do say so myself...(me blushing). This is a must read after reading Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction.

Personally, I haven't read the books that came before this one. I don't feel that's a problem. As this is the story of how these friends come together, it actually works for me to start here. Receiving this as an ARC from the author makes me want the two books from before. Personally speaking, I connect most with Erik, but we have a little something in common. This book covers the history of the two characters going about seven years back and is definitely filled with emotional moments, some definitely LOL worthy and some that might make you shed a tear. Of course, I don't mind the M/M scenes. They were well done and tasteful, even for those not used to them (thankfully I am). I have to read the entire series now and then wait impatiently for the next one.

*sigh* I love this series. Those that know me, know I am drawn to darker reads, but I have my favorite authors that deliver such good sweet reads, I have to read everything they put out. And, Skye Turner is one of those authors for me. I LOVE her Bayou Stix series!!! LOVE!! Jude has my heart...

Alluring Ties gives us the back story of Bradi and Erik. Bradi is Lexi's best female friend, her college room mate and a spit fire. I LOVE her. She is strong, determined to become more than her past dictates she should be, and she is a survivor. I love her boldness and her straight forwardness. You never have to wonder what she is thinking or feeling, and I adore that about her. She has no filter, kinda like me!
We first meet Bradi in Alluring Turmoil. And, if you are like me, you wondered what her story was. You knew something had happened, you just didnt know what. And Alluring Ties fills in all those blanks and questions. I love that this book takes us back to when Bradi meets Lexi. It takes us through their first meeting and how their friendship was born, and all the trials they endured to become as close as they are. We also get the back story on Bradi and Micha...and let me tell you, I know Micha isnt a Bayou Stix boy, but he gave Jude a run for his money. I LOVED Micha. Talk about a good guy. A guy not afraid to go after what he wants. A guy not afraid to go against social norms and follow his heart. Seriously, good guy. You are going to Love him!!
Erik is Lexi best friend, has been for years. Erik and Lexi have plans to go to college and open their own Bakery/Coffee shop. And I love that this book takes us back in years to show us the real bond between these two. We get some of the back story on Erik's support of Lexi as she was trying to get through her breakup. He was her rock when she needed one. He always has her back, and he protects her with everything he is. Erik is good looking, smart, and HOT!!! Erik is also gay, which makes women weep. Not exactly open, but not hiding. And I LOVE that we get to experience his 1st open relationship with him. And Im not going to say to much about that, because I do not want to give anything away.
Alluring Ties is a fantastic companion Novella. I love that so many blanks were filled in with this book. I love that we get to know Bradi better. With her story we get a much better understanding of why she is the way she is, and the absolute love Micha has for her. And, you will love Erik even more than you did before. We get to know him a bit more, and Im seriously hoping he will get his own book somewhere along the way... *hint hint Skye Turner*
If you love the Bayou Stix series, then you will love Alluring Ties! Iam now waiting for what ever Skye is going to bring us next!!!! Because all we know is that its "Untitled Bayou Stix 3"

Alluring Ties is a sweet, sassy, and sexy read about Lexi's two sidekicks - Bradi and Erik Skye Turner takes her readers back 7 years to shed some light on how the threesome became so close, why Erik was the guarded man he was, and how Bradi and Micah got together. The novella begins with Lexi, Erik, and Bradi's first time meeting in college and brings readers up to date where Book Two, Alluring Seduction ends. The book is told in Bradi and Erik's alternating points of view, so readers get firsthand knowledge of both characters back stories.
From the beginning of Alluring Turmoil, I knew that there was more to Bradi than a sassy mouth and a no bullshit attitude. Early on, she used that facade to protect herself, but when she meets Micah, he breaks down every single one of her walls and shows her what it's like to be in love. Readers get to see how Bradi and Micah's love story began, and even though they had to endure some tough times, their tale is definitely romantic and hot!
For a lot of readers, Erik has only been Lexi's best friend...her partner at the bakery...her shoulder to lean on, but in Alluring Ties, we see a different side of Erik - the man who doesn't love easily, but when he finds someone he wants to be with, he goes all in. Erik has loved and lost and that relationship and the devastation that follows is played out in the novella. It helps to make sense of his no strings attitude, and it makes it even more comforting that Erik finds what he needed with Alec.
I'm so glad that Skye decided to give readers an inside look at two amazing supporting characters of the Bayou Stix series. Lexi's relationship with them and their importance to her is a big focus of Alluring Turmoil. I loved their interaction and banter in book one, and I always wanted to know Bradi and Erik's back stories; in fact, I still want more;) Alluring Ties is fantastic addition to an amazing series. Can't wait for Book Three!

I LOVED Skye Turners Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction so when I was given a chance to read and review Alluring Ties I squealed!
Skye Turners writing style is unique. There are few authors who I feel can write conversations well, she is one of them. The banter between the characters are real, raw and hilarious. I could totally see myself sitting there drinking with them and shooting the breeze.
This is a novella to her other two books and I HIGHLY suggest you read those along with this so you can get the total effect of what is going on. This helps covers some holes in the Bayou Stix #1 and #2 and you get up close and personal with Bradi and Erik.
I feel so bad for Bradi and what she puts herself through because she feels her worth to be so low. She is so beautiful but most of us know that beautiful on the outside does not necessarily mean that everything is rainbows and unicorns on the inside and this is the case for Bradi. Micah is perfect for her!! Understanding, open and supportive. He understands what Bradi needs from him and his love for her is so strong that it touches your own. Not to mention that he is hot, a bit demanding and definitely knows how to keep things interesting!!!
Then there is Erik! I LOVE Erik and in fact I use to have one of my own lol I miss him and see so much of him in Erik it's not even funny. Erik is hot, aren't all men like Erik hot ;) He himself goes through some heart breaking situations but at the same time has a good support and friend in Lexi.And BOY his sexual encounters are EFFIN HOT! I actually got giddy every time there was a possible "Erik gets some" encounter lol I am so glad he has Alec now though!
I can't wait to see what Skye has up her sleeve for the next book and where her writing will take her in the future!!

And Skye has done it again!!
When I heard Bradi and Erik were getting a book, I was so excited I did a happy dance!! I loved them since I started reading Alluring Turmoil, and was so happy that we were getting a look into their lives.
I don't know how Skye did it but she packed 7 years in a novella, and she did it wonderfully. We get to see how they all met and how their relationships started. We get to see all the things they went through that made them the people they are when we meet them on Alluring Turmoil. Lets talk about Micah, holy hell, I love caveman Micah!! He is so dreamy and I want to fight Bradi for him. *grins* He is so sweet and the love he has for Bradi is just, wow. Erik is one of my favorite characters since the beginning of this series. He is loyal, so sweet, and such a good friend. Since we are talking about Erik, let me tell you there are some M/M scenes, they are hot and very well done. I had never read anything with M/M action before and it did not turn me off or anything like it, the few scenes were done tastefully. *fans self*
They were many LOL moments, Bradi is hilarious and so is Erik. There is a part at about 7% I think, when Erik first sees Bradi's side of the dorm she is sharing with Lex, and he describes what it looks like, I had tears running down my face from laughing so much. And then we had the really sad parts, I cried with Bradi and my heart broke with Erik's and with Micah's. And then came the happy tears.
I'm so happy we got this novella and we were able to learn more about Erik and Bradi and what they have gone through in life to make them the people I learned to love from book 1 of this series.
The story is told from both their POVs, so you get a behind the scenes from both of them. I can't wait for what is next on the Bayou Stix series.

He is so dreamy and I want to fight Bradi for him. *grins* He is so sweet and the love he has for Bradi is just, wow. Erik is one of my favorite characters since the beginning of this series. He is loyal, so sweet, and such a good friend. Since we are talking about Erik, let me tell you there are some M/M scenes, they are hot and very well done. I had never read anything with M/M action before and it did not turn me off or anything like it, the few scenes were done tastefully. *fans self*
They were many LOL moments, Bradi is hilarious and so is Erik. There is a part at about 7% I think, when Erik first sees Bradi's side of the dorm she is sharing with Lex, and he describes what it looks like, I had tears running down my face from laughing so much. And then we had the really sad parts, I cried with Bradi and my heart broke with Erik's and with Micah's. And then came the happy tears.
I'm so happy we got this novella and we were able to learn more about Erik and Bradi and what they have gone through in life to make them the people I learned to love from book 1 of this series.
The story is told from both their POVs, so you get a behind the scenes from both of them. I can't wait for what is next on the Bayou Stix series.
Where is the next book???? I need it!!

Alluring Ties is the Companion Novella to Alluring Seduction, this is not a read alone and to understand everything that is going on you will need to read book 1 - Alluring Turmoil and book 2 Alluring Seduction.
This book takes you to the beginning! However it does not take you to Jude and Lexi's beginning. It introduces you to Bradi and Micah, even though you met them in book one. As said above this is the companion novella and takes you through everything, from the past to the present, after book 1 and 2. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO READ THEM!
I wish I would have told you about Bradi, Micah and Erik in my first reviews but the stories weren't really about them. So let me talk about them.
Bradi - She is a freaking nut case, but I love her. She speaks her mind and she doesn't care what people think of her. She has some issues but don't we all?
Bradi is hot and she knows it, however she is a great friend.
Micah - how can I describe Micah... Micah is hot and fights for the girl he loves from the moment he meets her, even after some not so great things happen.
Why can't every real relationship be like this?

This books is hot, there is some M/M in this book and as a reader who is not into M/M books I will gladly tell you that Skye made me feel comfortable and even a bit turned on with the way she wrote the scenes.

I was asked to review this book not realizing that it was a novella after the story is concluded until I opened the cover. I was prepared to be lost and not know what was happening at all but I was wrong. Lesson of the day, NEVER ASSUME.
Alluring Ties is more of a companion novella that is used to delve into the 7 years before and up to the current happening of both previous books. The main characters of Alluring Ties are the best friends of Lexi (main lead in Alluring Turmoil), Bradi and Erik. I need to tell you that I am not big on novellas but this one is GOOD and I loved all the characters so much, that I am buying the other two books, Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction; even though I already know that everything turns out happy ever after.
I adore all these characters, even the very insignificant ones. Everyone has a purpose and Skye brings each and everyone to life. The writing is excellent. My emotions were everywhere and I connected with Brandi and Erik. I want them as my besties. Skye conveys to us a couple of different love stories but through the eyes of friendship amongst the three. I cannot say enough about this little doozy. Alluring Ties goes back and forth between Brandi and Erik POV. There is cheating and M/M sex scenes and not everyone is going to be comfortable with it, so be warned. I would suggest reading Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction first but if those two are anything like Alluring Ties, we are all in for a treat.

Hold on to the tissues cause this one will get you teary eyed.
This is Bradi and Erik's novella and Skye delivered their story and key points in their lives in a short amount of pages. I have said since the first book in the #BayouStixSeries that I LOVE ERIK and I still stand by it. We get to know Bradi and Erik and their history together. The evolving of their maturity and relationship throughout the years that they have known each other is a blast.
Erik on one hand goes from a non-committed man to a non-trusting guy because of what he was put through. I won't say much about it, but I felt my heart break for him. He is such a sweetheart and he deserves nothing but the best. Bradi learned to be guarded from her Mother's experiences with love and relationships. When she is tested she makes a hard choice that is heart wrenching.
The supporting characters are always awesome! Skye always delivers on her supporting characters being so fun and makes you want to know them. Micah is one of my favorites. He is such a great guy and such a stud! :D I love the way he loves Bradi and how he stands up for her in every possible way that she thought he would never do or rather anyone would do for her.
It is the perfect novella to tie everything together and to further it a little more in to understanding the characters. Awesome!

This is my review for Alluring Ties (Bayou Stix 2.5) by Skye Turner for Eskimo Princess Book Blog.
Alluring Ties follows Lexi’s (from Bayou Stix 1, Alluring Turmoil) best friends Bradi and Erik. This book is full of emotions. You will laugh, you will cry, you will probably even scream. It is an emotional ride but it is worth it. You get to see into the relationships Bradi and Erik have over the past 8 years. We get to see how Bradi and Erik each deal with falling in love and even heartbreak. Will they each find their HEA or will one of them ruin their chance at love?
Bradi and Erik are both strong characters and you get to see so much into their backstory. If you have not read the first two books in this series I suggest you do that first. You will need those two books in order to understand how these relationships are important to the Rock Band Bayou Stix. You should come to understand just how much Lexi means to Erik and how Bradi weaved her way into both Erik and Lexi’s heart and life as well. The sex scenes are hot, and there is even a little M/M action. I look forward to reading Liam’s story coming soon in 2014.

The Alluring series- Bayou Stix- is new to me as is Skye Turner's books !!
I am very pleased to have been able to read and review these books.
This book gives us great insight to the beginnings of relationships formed between Bradi , Lexi , Erik and Micah. It is in the POV of Bradi and Erik and you really get a great sense of their emotions and why they are the way they are !!
Full of so much emotion and struggle this group of friends survive the early years of college and move into adulthood with strong bonds and lasting love.
Bradi is a firecracker right from the start and I loved reading about her and Micah's start , their major hiccups and then of course into their blissful love !!
Erik feels the burns of first love lost but also gets to enjoy some fun times with a few hotties !! He really is a great guy and the best of friends to all 3 , Lexi , Micah and Bradi.
There is 7 years packed into this quick novella but it is easy to follow and a great companion to the wonderful series.

I really liked this novella that "ties" in two of the secondary characters from Skye Turner's previous books. We are given the background on Brandi and Erik. What I particularly liked about this novella was its quick pace. Skye jumps right in with action and dialog, allowing the reader to immediately make a connection with Brandi, Erik, and Lexi. I also liked how the author uses dialog to move the story along. The strong dialog allows the reader to feel as though they are right there in action (whether dorm room, frat party, etc). Skye is able to paint pictures with her dialog writing. The chapters are written in alternating POV (Brandi and Erik) which at first I thought might be confusing, but it was not at all. In fact, it was a great way to see the passing of time through each of their eyes and situations. All in all, a great companion read to Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction.

Received and ARC for an honest review. To be honest I had not read anything by this author, but in order to give an honest review I had to go back and read Alluring Ties and Alluring Seduction and am I glad that I did. This novella focuses primarily on Bradi and Erik and how the friendship of Lexi, Bradi and Erik came to be. Bradi was a character that I couldn’t help but like. She is a strong willed and has had a tough life. Underneath her tough façade lurks insecurities that keeps her from trusting easily. Erik is a strong and caring individual that struggles with his own issues of being homosexual. After having his heart broken he feels that he is safest by keeping his heart guarded and limiting himself to relinquishing in meaningless flings. Warning: this book does contain M/M scenes but I can assure you that they are tastefully done and you will love the entire series and its characters. Bravo Skye Turner!

Alluring Ties is a companion novella in the Bayou Stix series. It is different in many ways from Skye Turner's other books. It should not be read as a stand alone book. It does involve male on male sex. It is not book 3 in the Bayou Stix series and should not be confused as such.
With that out of the way, let's get down to the story.
Alluring Ties is the background story of our heroine Lexi Sloane's two best friends Bradi and Erik. This story gives us insight to the friendship formed in college and up to "present day" wraping up the whole package nicely. The emotional gambit runs wide as both characters evolve and grow. This story brings out these two supporting characters very well. I am left with a better understanding and more appreciation for Bradi who in previous books was a bit abrasive for me personally. Overall this book is great and does exactly what it is supposed to. Another awesome job by Skye Turner and another great addition to the Bayou Stix series.

This is book 2.5 in the Bayou Stix series. It Tells the story of Erik and Bradi who were introduced to readers in books 1 and 2.
I had not read Alluring Turmoil, or Alluring Seduction, and I had no trouble, starting this book and getting pulled right in.
This story tells of Bradi and Erik, their success and failures and frustrations over love and relationships. It is told from both their points of view, over the course of seven years.
You will love them right from the get go. Bradi and her feisty personality, and Erik with his never ending generosity.
After reading this story, I did go back and read books 1 and 2, I just couldn't resist.

This series is one of my favorites! Ties does exactly that it ties everything we have learned from Turmoil and Seduction together. Bradi and Erik are really the main characters in this book. Bradi is crazy and funny but deep down she is very insecure and scared! Erik is sweet, charming, and probably the nicest guy ever!! I loved both of them equally but for me Micah stole the show in this book! I loved him!! He was sweet and understanding and he loved Bradi unconditionally! His love for her amazed me! There were definitely some twists and turns I didn't see coming but it made the book so much better! I can't wait for more from this bunch of crazies!

This book ties in with Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction. WOW is all I can say about this book! It's amazing and gives so much details that you wanted to know from Brandi's and Erik's past. Brandi is a strong and independent woman that has had a rough life and trust no man because of a fear. She met Micah at college at a party and fell for him instantly. Micah is her everything. Erik is a strong caring man that is the rock and big brother for Lexi. He trusted one man with his heart and it got crushed. He decided flings would be better but that was until he met Alex. Now that he has Alex he wouldn't want his life any other way. This is a must read I can't wait for the next book!

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and had a really good story line. I enjoyed how the characters were developed over a period of time and how you got to see the growth of each character. There were some parts that may not be for everyone, but it was a well written novella.
The only part that confused me, and I think it is because this is the first book I have read from this series, is that at the very end there were characters introduced that I hadn't heard of. It didn't take away from this story at all, but I knew I had missed something. If you were reading this book as part of the series I'm sure that would be explained. I hope you enjoy this book as I did.
The only part that confused me, and I think it is because this is the first book I have read from this series, is that at the very end there were characters introduced that I hadn't heard of. Alluring Turmoil first stole my heart, so sweet and tender and all about your first loves. And then Alluring Seduction, sweet and spicy and I was blown away...again! I honestly thought you couldn't write a better story!! BUT I have to say, Skye you blew me away, with Alluring Ties!! Your writing just keeps getting better and better!
Now with that said, Alluring Ties is sweet, spicy, funny, at certain times nail biting, and at others had me bawling! But I love it!!! Can't wait to see more of the Bayou Stix gang!!

I absolutely loved this book. It was great to get the back story on the relationship with Lexi, Erik, Bradi & Micha. I didn't care for Bradi too much thru Alluring Turmoil, but after reading Alluring Ties I have a much better feel for her. Would love to see more of Erik's life with his new partner. This was a quick easy read and very well written. Be sure you read Alluring Turmoil and Alluring Seduction before reading this one or you will be very lost.

I absolutely loved this book.I loved the whole Bayou Stix Series. I enjoyed getting to know more about Bradi & Erik. I fell in love with all these characters and can't wait for the next book in this series. Skye Turner has done an Amazing Job with these book, she is very talented and I can't wait to read more books from her. I would highly recommend you read Alluring Turmoil, Alluring Seduction, & Alluring Ties. You will not be disappointed.
