Bio:
Staci Thomas is the Assistant Director of the English Language Program at Washington University and has been teaching written and oral communication skills to WashU scientists and researchers for three years. Prior to joining WashU, she spent 20 years in marketing communication for biotechnology companies, including Life Technologies, Applied Biosystems, and Sigma-Aldrich. She has experience in scientific writing for a variety of purposes, including publication in scholarly journals, mainstream media, executive speechwriting, and blogging. Staci also served as a translator in the Air Force and speaks Mandarin.
