Biography
Amy Cecil is an award-winning Indie author of both historical and contemporary romance. Her penchant for Austen fan fiction, won her the title of Favorite Historical Romance Author (2016-2017) while her MC series has won several awards throughout the Indie community. Recently, she has expanded her repertoire to the thriller and erotic genres.

For as long as she can remember, Amy always had a book (or two) that she was reading for the love of getting lost within its pages. Amy has been heard to have said, “I’ve never given much thought to becoming a writer myself until I realized that if I hadn’t written my own version of Mr. Darcy, I might have run out of material to read.”

And thus, her first novel was born, A Royal Disposition. In the words of Miss Austen herself, “I wish as well as everybody else to be perfectly happy; but, like everybody else, it must be in my own way.” Ms. Cecil writes to do just that.

She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Kevin, and their four dogs. When she isn’t creating her next masterpiece, or traveling the country for book signings, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and of course her fur babies.

“Face life as you find it-defiantly and unafraid.” -Nietzsche

This amazing story was absolutely my favorite from Amy Cecil! The first book was definitely amazing too but this was an adventure worth every second of suspense. The ending was perfect and so sad to see the last of them and the gorgeous island they call home. The true love describe is powerful. The history is well researched and laid out wonderfully throughout. I highly recommend this book!

On Familiar Prides take place 22 years after On Stranger Prides ends, after the prologue of this book actually.

Just like in book one, this is Amy’s continuation of her “what if” of Pride and Prejudice.

This book is amazing. I love the way Amy tells her stories, she kept me riveted to my seat while reading this book.

Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth go through so much and we get glimpses of their past, both before their marriage and after.

We get to see how London life was for a young woman being presented to society and to the Queen during this time of the 1840’s. Her writing is very descriptive, made me feel like I was there.

I really loved this book and really all of Amy’s books. The way she ended this book left me feeling very satisfied with their future.

I had been anxiously awaiting this sequel. Ms. Cecil did not disappoint she wrote another exciting version of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. It’s written years later and they have returned to society and have a wonderful life together . Then a letter appears threatening to tell everyone about his crimes of the past. Who is threatening their happiness and just how far will they go in getting revenge on the Darcy’s . Beautifully written with the characters we know and love. Highly recommended to any Jane Austin fan. Kudos to the amazing author who takes us on another incredible journey to the world of Mr. Darcy and his beloved Elizabeth.

I enjoyed the first book in the series, even though I thought it was an odd choice for Darcy to become the pirate, Max Sterling. But this book had little to recommend it.
First of all, the antagonist couldn’t have been more obvious. I kept hoping it would turn out to be someone else.
Second, there were so many scenes that were regurgitated verbatim from both the original Pride And Prejudice, and the first book in this series, that I think it easily added a third to the length.
While I did finish it just to see how the end was tied up, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
