Botswana National Front presidential hopefuls, Isaac Mabiletsa and Duma Boko, have struck a deal ahead of the BNF central committee elections in July.

Speaking to Mmegi yesterday, Mabiletsa confirmed that they have agreed to contest the election as a pact with Boko running for President and he as the running mate. The Kgatleng East legislator, however, emphasised that the personal deal is yet to be discussed by BNF structures. The deal was further confirmed by Boko.

The Mabiletsa-Boko deal leaves the presidential contest between Boko, current party deputy leader, Olebile Gaborone, and Gaborone lawyer and former youth league leader, Gabriel Kanjabanga. Boko further informed Mmegi that he has now changed his old BNF life membership to the current BNF life membership card.
