How would you summarise this season so far at Gloucester City?

It’s been a season full of ups and downs.

We haven’t quite hit the heights of last year, but recently we have seemed to get results and play some really good football at times. Long may that continue.

Have things changed much since Marc Richards took over from Tim Harris

I wouldn’t say that they have. Rico has always been vocal and his attention to detail his second to none.

Both care extremely about the football club and will do everything they can to make things right for Gloucester City.

Talk me through your wonder goal at Havant & Waterlooville

It was just one of those goals that will stick in the memory for a long time.

As soon as I turned with the ball there was only one thing I was going to do.

My initial thought once I hit it was that I had hit it too well and it was going to go over.

It was just shame we didn’t manage to get anything out of the game.

What has been the key to your recent run of results which has lifted you out of the relegation zone?

I just think confidence is massive and recently all of the boys have found that.

We’ve gone into every game knowing we can win and thankfully managed to pick up some really good wins.

We’re still not there just yet and have some massive games coming up between now and the end of the season.

There is plenty of competition for places and everyone is desperate to be in the team and for us to do well.

How have you found balancing football with your new career with the police?

I’d be lying to myself if I said it hasn’t been difficult at times. I hate missing games or training and that’s why I’ve been using holiday to try and make sure I’m there.

All the lads have been brilliant and fingers crossed I manage to find that right balance.

How has it been going with the police service?

So far so good I think! I’ve made some really great friends already who have been brilliant looking after me.

I’ve almost been doing this for a year now so it just shows how quick everything flies by.

Looking back, what are your overall thoughts on your time at Cheltenham Town?

Well obviously it was a little bit frustrating.

It just didn’t quite work out for me and I’m just glad the club is back in the Football League and hopefully doesn’t have to go through what we went through a few years ago.

What stands out as the highlight?

I think the clear highlight for me was Bury away at the start of 2014/15.

It was great scoring that goal and to win away at the title favourites everything seemed to be looking up.

It was a special day and sadly there weren't many like that during that season.

Do you think the relegation season affected young players like yourself and other, slightly younger, youth team graduates who had stepped up and were thrown in?

It’s hard to say. It affects people in different ways and for me it just made me more determined to put things right.

There was a lot of ins and out during that season and it just didn’t quite work out for the younger boys.

Do you still have aims to play professionally, or do you think realistically your career will take priority now and you’ll look to play at the highest level of semi pro football possible?

I think realistically it would have to be something quite special like a Leeds United to tempt me out of my career now.

I’ve fully enjoyed my time football wise since I left Cheltenham and playing at Gloucester has been brilliant.

I’ve played over a 100 games for Gloucester and I’ll try to keep adding to that tally.

I love the lads here, the staff and all the fans and personally I would be happy to play here for as long as I’m wanted.

We have enough in the dressing to push on and I hope to be a part of it.
