PROJECT GRIT

Purpose

The present study, Building Biobehavioral Goal-Directed Resilience Training among African American Women (Project GRIT), provides African American women with PTSD tools they need to build resilience and live healthy, productive lives. Participants will learn resilience skills as strategies for responding to and managing past and present trauma or stress, becoming an actor – rather than a reactor – to trauma.

What We've Done

As a team, we have created a safe space for all participants to lead them down the path of a good life. This space is presented through 8 weekly modules with facilitators from Emory University and Morehouse School of Medicine. We have created a guide that will address and tackle any trauma one may have.
