Williams named Gonzales Primary Principal

Jaimee M. Williams is the new principal of Gonzales Primary School. "I am honored that the school district has chosen me to lead this school that has such tradition and legacy," she said. Williams is going into her ninth year in education, seven of which have been in Ascension Parish. For the past two years, she has been serving as assistant principal of St. Amant Primary School. Prior to being appointed assistant principal, she served as Instructional coach for two years at Pecan Grove Primary School. She taught fifth grade at Gonzales Primary after teaching second grade in Iberville Parish. Williams earned both her Masters of Educational Leadership and Bachelor of Arts from Southern University. "I am honored that the school district has chosen me to lead this school that has such tradition and legacy," said Williams. "The Ascension Parish School District has a reputation of excellence and it is my intention to carry out the highest of expectations for the students at Gonzales Primary."
