In those rare leisure moments, you'll find me lost in the enchanting world of poetry, delighting in the creation (and indulgence) of decadent cakes or fervently capturing moments through the lens of my camera.

Writing emerged as my beacon of hope in navigating the labyrinth of depression and anxiety. My insatiable love for literature and the boundless horizon of travel infuses my tales with the rich tapestry of my adventures. I strive to breathe life into my stories with an air of authenticity that resonates with readers.

Received ARC for Honest Review

After Mulling over this Review, I wanted to update it to my true opinion.

I Give this book 2.5/3 Star Rating

I went in thinking this was going to be Badass DARK cause of the other books in this series, but i would put it in my Dark ‘Lite’ category. It’s Dark toned, but in the end when I finished reading this book I wasn’t really impressed.

Overall: An Ok Read.

Dark: 3/5 (Dark in the beginning. That’s what got my attention. Then...it could’ve been way better)
Romance: 2.5/5 (not convincing)
Smexy: 2.5/5 (inappropriately timed)
Drama: 3/5
Suspense: 3/5 (would’ve been higher, i actually didn’t see some things coming, but it was really rushed)

Female: Overall she didn’t act like an abused victim in the long run, she recovered way to quickly in my opinion to be rational and was interested in intimacy way to fast.

This book towards abuse had a ‘It happened, deal with it quickly and get over it’ vibe, that wasn’t appealing to me.

The ending was thrown together in such a rush, that I felt like I was at a tennis match.

Agreed to Keep Spoiler Free.

Would I read more from this Author? Possibly

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Two years ago, Megan was kidnapped and sold to a dangerous, sadistic, M, who has continually beaten, tortured and raped her. Weak from the heinous treatment and lack of food, Megan despairs her future.
Gawain is an assassin for the Cavalieri Della Morte. He been given the assignment to rescue Megan. He finds her broken, tortured soul. With patience and care he tries his best to gain her trust and begin her healing. He also pledges to find M and make him pay for all the pain he has caused Megan.

This has to be the most distressing story in the series so far. The abuse Megan suffered was heart wrenching and I physically felt ill on numerous occasions.
On saying that I’d say Redemption has to be a brilliantly written book. The characters were very well developed, I loved how Gawain helped to heal Megan, and the plot grasped me heart and soul as I waited for the Redemption Megan so justly deserved. It’s a fairly a fast read but missing nothing, very dark, violent and heartbreakingly emotional.
Can trust be gained or will revelations destroy all.

Oh my dayz. I’m absolutely loving this series. This group of fearless hit men are truly awesome.

We now get Gawains story. He hadn’t had an easy life before Arthur took him into the family. He’s now one of the twelve assassins. He’s hot, fearless and good at what he does.

When he sees Megan for the first time his life changes. Vowing to protect her and keep her safe he doesn’t take into consideration what she does to him.

I absolutely loved this story. I read in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down.

This is book ten in The Cavalieri Della Morte series. I highly recommend you read them all as they are so darn good. Can’t wait to read the next in the series.

I Hate that I FLIPPING LOVE IT!👍👍👍👍👍
I hated it. I had to read it in sporadic spurts needing to gather my emotions and stop my trembling body as the the dark stabbing words hit with an earth shattering impact sucking every bit of life out of me turning me cold shaken gasping in shock cringing in fear. Point blank a nervous wreck and still I wanted more. A well written read that definitely plays with your emotions and ends with an enjoyable HEA that I would recommend.

This is a bit dark with some of the subject matters that are dealt with in this story. This is a quick read that will leave you shaking your head as the story unfolds. Let's just say family doesn't always mean blood. I love how in each book we get to see the brotherhood and how each is there no matter what.

We finally get Gawain's story in Redemption. This title explains everything about this book. Gawain is one of the best assassins in the world that is sent to rescue Megan. Megan is a beautiful young lady that has been through some horrific events in then last two years. She has been battered and beaten that when she and Gawain meet she can't believe he is there to help. As the story progresses we get a good glimpse into Gawain's childhood and why he does what he does. Megan awakens something in Gawain that he will do anything to protect her. The time they spend together he becomes not only her protector, but her confidant as well. He helps her start to heal mind, body, and soul. I love how each of the men in these books are all bada$$, but have huge hearts where their woman are concerned.

Finally! It’s Gawain’s Story!!! Book 10 in the Cavalieri Della Morte series turns to tell the story of Assassin Gawain Vincent, Arthur Calthorpe’s nephew. If you have read all the books so far you will remember glimpses of him from the past books. While out celebrating her new job, Meghan Ragnell, is kidnapped and sold as a slave. For two years she was held captive until one day a man comes for her, an Assassin by the name of Gawain. He might be a killer but this lady’s man has a soft spot for trafficked women. Can he bring her back from the horrors she survived? This was a quick read but no less exciting. Told in dual POV

Redemption by Anna Edwards, book number 10 of the Cavalieri Della Morte series but can be read as a standalone. There will be triggers in this one for some, I don’t want to spoil anything so all I’m going to say is sex trafficking is a big part of this story so if you have triggers to that sort of thing, proceed with caution. Anna Edwards is a new-to-me author but she did an amazing job on her installment to the Cavalieri Della Morte series. If you have been reading the series you know we’ve seen glimpses here and there of Gawain but now we get the full story of the mysterious man.

“When Arthur calls, you answer without question. Sex is one thing but the thrill of a new assignment ignited the fire in my blood. Saving those who need it is the best feeling in the world.”
Gawain Vincent, one of the twelve assassins of the Cavalieri Della Morte. But Gawain’s situation is a little different than the other assassins. Arthur, the man in charge of these badass assassins, is Gawain’s Uncle. Each member of the Cavalieri have their own special set of skills, Gawain is not only a skilled fighter, but this ladies man has a sweet nature when it comes to women which makes him the best guy for the job when it comes to helping with victims of sex trafficking. But for Gawain, it’s personal.

Gawain’s father was a horrible human being and made Gawain partake in unspeakable acts, and ever since Gawain got away from him he’s been seeking redemption for the sins he was forced to commit.
“It’s why I’ve worshipped them with my body ever since, hoping that I’ll find some redemption for what I did.”
So when the Cavaleri gets a call about a trafficking ring, Gawain is Arthur’s first call.

While out with her friend Lena to celebrate her 24th birthday Megan Ragnell is taken by sex traffickers. Shortly after being taken Megan is sold to a sadistic man she only knows as “M”. This “M” does despicable things to Megan, for two long years she’s kept in a room in “M’s” house where she suffers mental and physical abuse at his hand.

Unfortunately, when Gawain and his brothers get there to save Megan, the mysterious “M” has already escaped. With “M” still on the loose and the overwhelming connection Gawain feels towards her, he takes Megan home with him to help get her on the road to recovery and to make sure she’s safe while she heals.

Megan is a shell of the woman she used to be, scared, frightened, and fragile. As a trained sex slave she’s been conditioned to be a certain way and it’s not easy for her to break from those habits.

Slowly but surely she begins to flourish under Gawain’s care and despite her painful experience, she is still drawn to Gawain. Maybe it’s because he saved her, or maybe it’s because she feels safe around him, either way, she can’t stop.

Gawain vows to avenge Megan and find “M”, he won’t stop until “M” is incapable of ever hurting another woman again.

But things take a turn when Gawain’s quest to find the mysterious “M” leads him closer to home than he ever could have imagined…

Ahhh, I loved Gawain and Megan’s story! Watching Megan thrive under Gawain’s love and care, and Gawain finally learning how to forgive his self for the things that happened that were beyond his control, beautifully written.

I only had a couple of issues with this one, for starters the relationship between Gawain and Megan… super fast for a sex trafficking victim. The ending, I just felt like it was way too rushed and I just wanted it to be… MORE. I mean the villain and all that was GREAT but I just needed more to that scene.

Gawain is such a sweetheart and when he dressed up as Mr. Darcy for her…OMG, *sigh* despite his chosen profession Gawain is a GOOD man.

Megan, that girl has gone through so, so much and came out stronger than ever on the other side. I was really happy to see that she went through counseling and not just completely healed by Gawain’s love, made things feel a lot more realistic for me.

All in all, this one is a 4 1/2 from me and was a wonderful addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte series. Highly recommend.

I received the book for my honest review.

The book has trigger warnings. When I started it, I thought ok.... two girls going out for an enjoyable night. When was the shoe going to drop? It wasn’t long. Anna’s writing sucked you into Megan’s head. You could feel what she was feeling....the despair, helplessness, and being a victim. Megan’s abduction was for the abusive habits of M. M left nothing undone to Megan and she was his captive. Although she had a strong spirit, she had no choice but to give up and accept her position. Anna words pulled you through the dark, evil world of human trafficking. My heart went out to Megan and all the others that were drug into this black world.

Gawain was part of the Cavalieri family. They worked and trained hard to help and save those sucked into the black world. Gawain knew first hand the evilness of the world Megan was in. The Cavalieri head, Arthur, sent Gawain to where Megan with instructions to save her and kill M and his men. The magnetism between Gawain and Megan was there from the beginning. Gawain’s prior conquests were a result of his upbringing yet he handled Megan with warmth and kindness.

Gawain was Megan’s white knight and savior. The magnetism grew between them. It was undeniable. Megan was Gawain’s savior as well. Together they supported, conquered, and grew together. Megan’s strong spirit had returned and together they would be an asset for the Cavalieri family and supporter of the efforts. Seeing how both Gawain and Megan overcame their past and the horrible experiences warmed my heart.

If triggers don’t bother you and you like a HEA, grab Redemption. You will NOT be disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed Redemption. Way to rock it Anna!

It's Gawain's turn!

I have enjoyed his bit parts in the other books and I have been looking forward to his story. There is something carefree about his character that has always been a bit in conflict with the heavy and dark theme that has been present through much of this series. But his character brings this is a much-needed spark. His mission brings a very broken Megan into his life.

Megan has endured two years of horror. Her treatment has reprogrammed this once full-of-life Megan to this shell of obedience and trauma. Her story is dark and she reluctantly clings to the freedoms that Gawain is giving her. Small things like clothes and food are so out of the ordinary for her that she isn't sure what to do with them.

With a sadistic man still on the loose, Gawain promises to protect and Megan learns how to be herself again. Even her new self is a bit different and a bit damaged. Gawain for all his assassin badness, he has this kind heart and has spent much of his life looking to redeem himself. So while this book was on the darker side, Gawain really has this kindness to him that is on the lighter side of dark. I enjoyed this book and I think the author did a good job with this character. It was nice to see some familiar faces throughout too and the story twist added an additional twisted element to the book.

Another new-to-me-author discovered with this series. I was not let down. A mixture of light and dark themes throughout. Gawain has a strong sweetness about him that made me fall in love. I do feel this was a bit rushed, but I still really enjoyed the story nonetheless.

As far as dark goes, this one paints a disturbing picture of sex trafficking, non-con, forced non-con, etc. As far as light, I think the author told a beautiful story of redemption and the rebuilding of one's soul. Gawain was a perfect melding, assassin with heart. He melted my black heart with his grand gestures of respect and vulnerability. Megan having gone through a terrible two year enslavement was another breath of fresh air. She was broken, yet fierce in her determination to overcome her monster's training. I loved the dynamic between the mains.

Although I had trouble with the pacing of this story and the lack of build-up. I loved what the story stood for and how two twisted halves can truly make a whole.

This is the latest book in the Cavalieri Della Morte shared world. There have been some tremendous books in this series, and this is just another one of them.

This story follows Gawain and Megan. Gawain is one of the Cavalieri. His boss, Arthur, has sent him out on a job to rescue a woman who has been trafficked, Megan.

I thought that Gawain was pretty perfect with Megan. He made sure that she always felt safe and did everything he could to help her feel in control of her life, which is something that she really needed. I think that he was just really patient, and not like you would really think that an assassin would be.

I think that they had great chemistry from the first moment they were together, as friends and as more.

I would love to see more of Megan and Gawain, even if it were just a short story so that we can check in on them.

A great addition to the series.

This was an extremely fast paced story in the series, even though it was on the shorter side I felt it got the point across and packed a punch.

I've been excited to read more from Gawain since I met him in previous books. I loved his cheeky confident side and his softer side melted my heart. The way he was with Megan was beautiful but he still has the ruthless killer streak in him that makes him a lethal part of The Cavalieri.

I adored Megan, I felt so emotional for her. Her life changed forever after a night out and she lived a terrifying existence until she was rescued by a handsome stranger seeking Redemption for past circumstances that were beyond his control but have plagued him ever since.

These two have put me through the emotional ringer but I loved their journey.

Absolutely LOVED this addition to the series.

Megan was broken mentally and psychically by the sadistic M who bought her after she was stolen from the streets after a rare night out.

Gawain is the one assigned to rescue her, from there we see their journey to putting an end to M and his associates. During this time Gawain slowly makes Megan see she's more than someone's slave and helps her find not her old self but someone much more stronger.

It was great seeing some the old crew and past characters. Throughout the darkness these characters go through and see, it's great to see they have some sort of light to balance everything out.

This series is beyond epic, and it's slowly coming to an end **crying** I don't want it to end!!!

“When Arthur calls, you answer without question. Sex is one thing but the thrill of a new assignment ignited the fire in my blood. Saving those who need it is the best feeling in the world.”

Each Cavalieri has his own specialism and Gawain is tasked is rescuing the abused. Seeking redemption through penance he tried to absolve his sins but saving those that find themselves at the hands of the merciless. Trying to destroy a trafficking ring he is sent to retrieve Megan, held captive for two years she is shell of the woman she was once. A trained sex slave her responses are automatic and conditioned yet her fire has not been extinguished. Feeling safe with Gawain he pledges to help her through her rehabilitation and vows to help her on her journey to heal. But the quest to find the men responsible lead his a closer to home than he first thought and there is a price to be paid...

This story is dark and ugly. The corruption of men seeking the ultimate power over another’s life, a self made God that only an influx of money can provide. Twisted beliefs that another life can be bought that someone’s worth has a monetary value. For Gawain this is a personal crusade after he experienced something at 16 that has forever haunted him and filled him with self loathing. I enjoyed seeing him learn how to forgive himself whilst being her avenging angel and reaping vengeance for all the misery she had survived. This was a beautiful blend of raw emotion and brutal violence that I have come to realise is synonymous with this series. A new to me author I am adding her other work to my TBR list immediately.

A five star send a message read.

OMG this story was a killer! I absolutely LOVED it!!! It grabbed me right from the beginning and didn't let me go!

Gawain, Arthur's nephew, finally finds his purpose!

Megan was kidnapped while celebrating a new job and sold as a sex slave to "M".

This story was SO well written. The storyline and characters were absolutely fabulous!

I loved Megan and Gawain and all they had to go through. Gawain, I loved how he was all bad-ass and still so tender and loving. How he put Megan first even though they weren't "together".

The best part? The villain and the way that all came together!

This was great...so great.

So now I've found another wonderful author to stalk!

This was so action packed with excitement and danger I couldn't put it down the characters are so well written and their story sucks you right in from the first page not having to wait for the intensity of the job that Gawain is sent on that will change everything and reveal a whole lot of answers. Megan was such a strong willed character I was so proud of her with so much strength for what she had to endure was horrid in every possible way with Gawain by her side and his brothers they actually will melt your heart with their safety and compassion.

Gawain wow he is one of twelve assassins and loves women , then he sees Megan who is totally broken and has the biggest blue eyes and blonde hair .
He swears to find M the one who broke her and he also wants to help her heal
This story killed me I hate it is the final one of this series since I have enjoyed every single one in a totally different way.  Each author made their books stand out on their own way and I will enjoy rereading this series.

Wow!! Anna another brillant dark book I absolutely loved it, I was hooked right from the start and on the edge of my seat.
It had darkness, suspense and love which kept me reading on and made me not want the book to finish.

Megan I thought was so strong to have to go through all what she had. Gawain was her rescuer which I fell for big time, especially after what he had been through too.

I found it brilliantly written and I absolutely recommend it if you like a dark read. I'm beginning to really love your dark side Anna please write more.

I totally recommend this book and this Author

Keeping with the theme of the Cavalieri Della Morte series Anna Edwards has just delivered a dark tale with triggers that some may struggle with.

A quick read following Gawain and Megan’s journey and the tale of survival and strength. Megan’s story broke my heart.

I’m a fan of dark reads so in my head I was expecting this to be a bit darker than it was but overall a great addition to the series.

I'm loving these Cavalieri men!!

Megan Ragnell, is taken on the way home from a night out. Kept and abused for two years until her knight in shining armour rescues her.
Gawain Vincent, a skilled fighter and assassin for the Cavalieri but he has a soft side too. When he is asked to go and retrieve a girl, he does just that. He's the best for the job.
Megan only sees men as monsters, who take what they want and break it. Gawain is different, he can help her - if she'll let him.

Fantastically dark and fast paced. I loved Megan and Gawain's suspensful story. Definitely go grab this one!

Megan was kidnapped, raped and tortured for two years by a madman. Gawain is an assassin for the Cavalieri Della Morte tasked with rescuing Megan. He is a hard man but has a soft spot for females. He tries to help Megan overcome her past abuse. This is a quick, dark read that involves human trafficking. A good read.

This read was really Good and I have even sucked into it from page one. Yet I had a few issues with it which had not given me as much pleasure as I expected.
After reading The blurb I expected something darker here on the scene. As everything that had happened to Megan was horrifying to the core.
The female lead had been thru hell for two years. After something like that, I had pictured her to be scared beyond reason with anything. Yet here she is behaving almost normal. I was not happy with the way she was put here - she had so many potentials to be a great survivor. I think due to the format of the story it had to b done that way.
Gwain... I really liked him and the way he was thinking. I hope to see more of him in the next few books in the series.
Maybe in the future, there will be a long story for those two two?

This was a quick read (regardless that Goodreads said it took me five days to read it). I finished it in one sitting, maybe about three or four hours. It was definitely dark, with a few twists I didn't see coming.

This is my favorite type of dark romance, that deals with sex trafficking. I don't know what it is about that subject, but I just love it. Anna Edwards did a good job with this subject and I love how sweet Gawain is with her.

I like the relationship between Gawain and Megan. It's one to be envious of. I just didn't like how fast their relationship moved, it some times didn't seem realistic. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this book. I haven't kept up with the Cavalieri Della Morte series, but this can be read as a standalone.

Heartbreaking and hopeful, brutal and tender, bitter and sweet. This entertaining read was powerful and gripping. Megan just broke my heart. What she had survived was truly unimaginable. Gawain was an assassin but he had a good heart and was so swoon worthy. Dark, intense, suspenseful, twisted and romantic, this haunting read had me from the very beginning. This is my sincere review that I am posting by my own choice.

This series about modern knights of the round table has been addictive and I love this latest installment.

This is a dark story of kidnap and fortitude in the face of great suffering. Gawain isn’t a classic knight but he is there to save the day and the maiden in distress. Megan isn’t a classic victim but a twist of fate has made her one. These two have a great deal of ‘baggage’ to sort through and with an evil plotter in the background their path is anything but simple and straightforward.

A fast paced and suspenseful story which kept me gripped throughout... I read an advanced copy of this book.

I thought it was a good read. Read shorter than the typical book, but it may because it went by quickly. Even though it had dark themes, it wasn't overly so. There were some gruesome bits, but nothing dark enough that I may feel triggered by. I liked reading about Gawain's past experiences influencing who he is now. I also enjoyed reading about Megan overcoming her experiences. I would have enjoyed reading about more of their interactions, but I would read more about this brotherhood.

Megan is kidnapped and sold to a rich man to be his pet and is subjected to inhumane and painful abuse. She is rescued by Gawain, who is part of a brotherhood fighting against such crimes. He rescues her and finds himself drawn to her. Megan, despite her experience, is also drawn to Gawain. "M", the rich man, escapes so Gawain decides to have her stay with him to keep her safe.
