Walk-Bike Cupertino Petition to Support the Regnart Library Trail
Please support the proposed Regnart Creek Library Trail project by signing this petition.  The  trail will:

--Increase the green recreation space on the east side of Cupertino. This trail would give additional recreation space to 8,000 people living within ¼ mile of the trail without the large price tag or near impossibility of buying land.
--Connect three city parks: Creekside Park, Wilson Park, and Library field to allow residents to enjoy recreational exercise, shop the Farmer’s Market, attend community events, visit the library or just be out in the green spaces in our city. This trail could be used by walkers, runners, those with limited mobility, parents with strollers and those learning to ride a bike.
--Provide an off-street, secure and safer route for nearly 400 of Cupertino’s youth who live near the Civic Center and Wilson Park neighborhoods to walk or bike to Cupertino High and Eaton Elementary schools;
--Allow residents to comfortably and safely ride a bike to nearby destinations without the hazards of mixing with cars on 30mph roads or on 25mph residential roads with documented problems of speeding vehicles;
--Provide decreases in traffic, especially school traffic, by encouraging alternate transportation methods to school or on other commutes.

We, the undersigned, are concerned residents of Cupertino and the surrounding Bay Area who urge the City of Cupertino to move forward with the proposed Regnart Trail engineering evaluation and drawings.
