Making Your Research Have an Impact

Program outline:

  • What makes a good title?
  • How to use your abstract to increase your visibility
  • Creating digital signposts to your research
  • Communicating your research to the right audience
  • How to promote your research using social media
  • Measuring and mapping your impact through using Altmetrics

Over three million research articles are published each year and this number increases by approximately 4% annually. How does an author ensure that their work is discovered, read and hopefully cited in an already crowded landscape? In this workshop we will explore what authors can do to increase the likelihood of their work making an impact.
