Continence care standards survey 2017

The Urology Users Group Coalition (UUGC) is a group of charities which represents the six million people with continence needs in the UK. UUGC has launched a survey asking people who use
NHS continence and urology services about the quality of their support, such as:
  • GPs' understanding of individuals' needs
  • access to specialist services, if required
  • access to products to meet personal needs

The UUGC hopes to use the results as the basis for a manifesto setting out how standards of care can be improved. Take the survey below.

Secret Life of Us campaign brings to life the realities of the challenges disabled children, young people and their families face in everyday life. The campaign, run by the Disabled Children's Partnership, aims to improve awareness and understanding of these challenges and asks people to join them to help make this change. Sign up below.
The new bus services act
The Bus Services Act 2017 aims to make it easier for local authorities, the Secretary of State and bus operators to work together to improve bus services for passengers.

The Act could be used to help disabled people by providing better accessibility and more audio and visual on-board information. Find out more from Disability Rights UK below.
Para Dance UK

The Wheelchair Dance Sport Association UK has changed its name to Para Dance UK. The organisation is expanding its range of courses and is now open to all disabled people, but their status as the national governing body for Para Dance Sport and inclusive dance professionals in the UK stays the same.
