Introduction
13
This Research & Development spreadsheet is designed to help players see the requirements for R&D projects. The goal is to be able to see quickly what components or materials a specific project will require.
14

You can see R&D Pack drop rates at:http://bit.ly/STORnDPacks

How to Use
19
1.The first thing you need to do if you want to use this spreadsheet is to make your own copy of it. To do this, select File -> Make a copy. Keep in mind, your copy will not be updated when I make updates to this spreadsheet, but it will list the latest version and provide a link where you can find it.
20
2.Fill in the XP and Materials amounts on the "My Levels" sheet. These are the yellow numbers, and are used in calculations throughout the spreadsheet
21
3.On the "Project Requirements" sheet, you can choose a school and a project from that school. The spreadsheet will then show all the required components, and the total number of materials needed. If you are lacking any, it will show those too.
22
3.If you ever think you broke your copy of this spreadsheet, just get a new one!
23
4.Enjoy!

25
What This Does Not Do
26
1.This does not guarantee 100% correct information. We make mistakes from time to time, and although we tried to find and fix them all, we might have missed something.
27
2.This does not provide any services unrelated to Research & Development in Star Trek Online. Sorry, but it won't heat your coffee, make you awesome at PvP, or do other things besides help you see the requirements for R&D projects and upgrades.

Change Log
30
V2.5* IN PROGRESS *
31
- Added the Kits and Modules items.
32
33
34
35
V2.4- Added the Pilot Officer Training items.
36
- Added the consumable items.
37
- Added the new Hyper-Capacitor Shield Array.
38
- Split Fed and KDF R&D doffs into separate sheets.
39
- The doff lists now show where each is found, and if they are bound on pickup.
40
- Added list of Fixed Upgrade Mods. This is an "in progress" thing.
41
- Streamlined the way quantity material requirements are calculated.
42
- Daily R&D projects will not show quantity material requirements since you can only do one of these per 20 hours.
43
- I've been trying to figure out how to calculate chances of success, crits, etc., but have been unsuccessful thus far. I will give 100mil Energy Credits to the first player to provide me with a formula that works every time.
44
45
V2.3- Added the new Officer Training school and items.
46
- Added Secondary Deflectors.
47
- Added Special Event Omega items and upgrades.
48
- Added all the Kobali R&D doffs I could find on the exchange.
49
- The EC cost to buy components in crafting now correctly changes with the quantity of items to be crafted. The cost to buy the materials was already correctly changing.
50
- Altered many of the background formulas to improve spreadsheet efficiency. Some material requirements will change on some items since the spreadsheet now looks at components crafted in that school, not the first component of that name in the Data sheet (same component, different materials!). The Costs sheet still takes the first component of that name on the Data sheet.
51
52
V2.2- Material costs to craft components changed in this patch:

54
55
V2.1- Altered the Project Req. sheet so you can now determine requirements to craft in bulk! Use the new Quantity input to decide how much of something you want.
56
- If you only want to craft a single item, set the quantity to 1. The quantity is now used in all the calculations for how many materials you will need.
57
- Let me know if I broke anything while making this change.
58
59
V2.0.2Corrected Dilithium costs to apply tech upgrades on the Upgrade Req. sheet. Thanks for catching that, @Mighty_BOB_cnc.
60
61
V2.0.1- Updated and rearranged the list of queues on the 'My Levels' page for Delta Rising.
62
63
V2.0Major change to add the R&D costs of item upgrading to the spreadsheet.
64
- Put in an item's current Tech Points and how many you need to upgrade, and get information on how many upgrade items it will take at what cost to create them.
65
- You can find out if it costs less to craft the upgrade item yourself or buy it. Keep the 'Costs' sheet updated for accurate results.
66
- Experimental Tech Upgrades are included, even though they are not yet on Holodeck. If you keep the 'Costs' and 'My Levels' sheets updated, these should work once they become available.
67
- If you're looking for more complex upgrade information, check out this great spreadsheet by @Mighty_BOB_cnc:

69
70
V1.2- Added Tech Upgrade crafting.
71
- Added list of known R&D Duty Officers.
72
73
V1.1.1Updated the queues that provide Craylon Gas.
74
http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1182781
75
- There are no other changes for this update to the spreadsheet.
76
77
V1.1Changes to facilitate crafting for profit.
78
- You can input the energy credit costs for materials and components. If you do not update these often enough, the spreadsheet may give bad information.
79
- The spreadsheet calculates if it is cheaper to craft components or buy them.
80
- There is now an estimation of how much a certain item will cost to craft.
81
- Added link to R&D Pack drop rates spreadsheet. It is a work in progress that will be updated as we get more packs copied over to Tribble.
82
- There is some confusion over what queues reward or should reward the Craylon Gas packs. We will not be updating the list until we get confirmation.
83
84
V1.0.1Minor changes and adjustments.
85
- Added list of what queues give a chance for what very rare materials. Craylon Gas is currently bugged.
86
- Added the ability to track how many components you have. At this time, they are not taken into account for how many materials you might be lacking for a specific project.
87
88
V1.0Initial R&D spreadsheet.
89
- All current projects are included.
90
- Shows how many materials each project requires, and if you are lacking any.
91
