This book is more than just a “rocker” book and it took me on a much unexpected ride. I haven’t read anything from this author before and I have to say that she is someone who knows how to write a book that takes you into the hearts and souls of the characters she writes about. The complexity of Truthful was something that made him seem “real” for whatever than means. I feel like I know what made up Truthful and I was able to follow along with him emotionally in everything he did. Savage Truth was a story about a little boy who had everything going against him and took that, along with the help of his “life father”, to become the man that was at the top of the rock world, surrounded himself with friends who were family, and eventually found the love of his life.

I haven’t had the pleasure of reading the Savage Angels MC series but believe me after reading this I will make it a point to make that happen. There were a few tie-ins that were mentioned and were done in a way that I didn’t feel that I lost anything by reading Savage Truth before those. It just gave me the incentive to get myself in gear and make it a priority to read those books asap. This is a very well written book that will bring its characters to life for you which means you will have times that you feel sorry for that little boy, you will feel the determination that Truthful had, the sorrow that he felt at different times in his life and most importantly the love that you had for that one special person. Be warned though because even though you have the HEA you also have a cliffhanger that will have you waiting on pins and needles to see where Truth and Rosie’s story will go.

This book was freely provided to me as an ARC for an honest review.

This story is divided in two. The first part is about one couple, Truth's parents, and the second part is about him.
I couldn't connect with the two stories. The first part, even though it was fast-paced, was really interesting and heart-breaking to read. I liked it, but the second part didn't have the same feelings, and it felt too different to be in the same book. I think it would have been better to have one novella and then this book.

I devoured this book, it was that good. I'm barely into Rockers book but The Grinders were introduced with the MC series Savage Angels MC so I had no choice lol.

I loved Truthful story, his upbringing wasn't the best thankfully he met people who changed his life for the better.

I miss the MC side but was ready to dive into Truth story. It was amazing and I read this in a day, I'm a huge fan of Kathleen writing and I want more Grinder now. I think I may like Rocker story.

Well, well, well Kathleen. Quite the little tale twister you have become as you get further and further into this world you have created. Most of which I don’t even see coming so I had quite a few OMG moments with Truth’s story.

As Truth approaches his wedding to Rosie, we get his life story, even going as far back as his parents. It was such a good way to do this. Rather than just start in the present, at the rocker we know and love, we got a full insight to how and why Truth became the man he is. Add to that the things we find out once time catches up to the present, and Savage Truth is really a very good story. I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. I would have liked to have seen what happened with his siblings, but I’m sure we will find out in future books because there was no way this book could have ended any differently than it did.

I really enjoyed this first Grinder’s book, and if you haven’t read the Savage Angels MC books first, that’s fine, you really don’t have to have read them to enjoy this; you will not be lost. I would recommend you do though because they’re really good.
I give Savage Truth 5 stars.

OMG!! Truthful Hunter is the Ultimate Rock God to Kat Saunders Rock Goddess.
I have truly been waiting to read Truth's story since I first read about him in Kat's story, Savage Stalker (Savage Angels MC #1)! This much anticipated description of the beginning of the The Grinders is a complimentary addition to Author Kathleen Kelly's Savage Angels MC Series!
The storyline grabs you from the get go and doesn't let go, not even in the end. This author has you so wrapped around her characters that you just can't wait to see what happens next. I am so on the edge of my seat already waiting with anticipation the continuation of the Grinders stories!
I love how Kathleen Kelly adds so much depth to her characters, she makes them come alive to the point you feel their emotions right along with them. She opens your eyes to all the intricacies e lives of the Band Members as well as the MC.
A heart wrenching emotional rollercoaster ride you hope never ends!! Well Done!!

Kathleen Kelly you've done it again!
This author repeatedly releases great books and never fails to live up to her high standard of writing.
This new spin off series is terrific with the story of lead guitarist Truth. There is so much detail regarding his background that fills in many questions about him.
If you don't fall a little in love with Truth I'd be surprised as he is hot, sexy and talented. Rosie is a great character who is supportive but has that touch of sassy to delight.
I can honestly say I was hooked into the story straight away and could have read a book just about Truth's parents it was so entertaining. Yes I wanted to slap Faith silly & then Dex but this is how invested you get in the story.
This book deals with a lot of issues in a well executed manner. There is an abundance of humour and emotions that set your heart either pacing or alight!
Well done on another fabulous story.

This book was very different for me and not at all what I was expecting. I was waiting for an all out rockfest and that isn't what I got at all. The story was beautifully written and the last 30% was the best part for me and for that I gave the 4 stars.

Truthful Hunter who this book is about was a broken soul and his story is one that is very touching and often bought a lump to my throat but he was a very guarded man because of his past. When he meet the one, he falls hard and fast and this is when the book took a more appealing turn for me.

I liked this book and look forward to reading the next installment. I really like Kathleen's writing style and look forward to more of her work. I recommend this book but expect more than just a rock star book. Expect different and you won't be disappointed.

Mmmm I'm confused

OK I'm a little confused, I did enjoy the book but at 30% I almost stopped reading I couldn't stand it anymore!! Now since I've finished the other half of the book made up for it. With that said I'll explain, the first part of the book I checked twice because I thought I downloaded the strong book!! I mean who were these ppl?! Then I thought well maybe dex is truth?! But anyway I thought it was way way to much back story, I wanted more truth!! Lol but if you feel the same I would say definitely continue on it was we'll worth it! That is the reason I only gave it four stars though. I really didn't like the beginning it was just to much. But I love all Kathleen kellys books this one was just a four star instead of five lol thank you ms Kelly for an enjoyable book!

Voluntarily leaving a review. Savage Truth is an amazing read. Kathleen Kelly brings back the Savage Angels and mixes them well with the Grinders. We were introduced to Truth and Rosie in the Savage Angels series and he is a character that you want more of just for yourself. Savage Truth takes you on a journey that gives you the background and depth of how Truth became himself. Truth and Rosie are an exceptional couple, they are equal to each other and the calm to a storm for each other. There are more characters that make an appearance and I hope Kathleen Kelly does not make us wait too long for the next Grinders book because I personally want to know more. I am excited for this new series from Kathleen Kelly and I am looking forward to many more wonderful reads.

AMAZING READ!!! Kathleen Kelly does it again. Savage Truth is the first book in her new series The Grinders. I'm so glad she started this series. We've all come to love the hot, sexy men of the Savage Angels MC. Now we get to know more about the band. This story focuses on Truth as his wedding to Rosie nears. I love that this story starts when Truth's parents first meet. We learn a bit about them and the way Truth grows up. You might want to keep a box of tissues handy as you read this one. Truth's story is full of heartache in the beginning. But eventually Truth finds his rightful place first with The Grinders and then with Rosie. I love that he gets the HEA he truly deserves. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

When it comes to Rosie, it seems like on thought always has Truth ready to go, “no, I’d rather be naked and so far inside you that you scream my name.” At the thought of sex with my Rosie, I’m hard, and I rub myself against her." Rosie was perfect for Truth, I loved the take charge attitude she had at times, “go and rescue Violet from Truth, and tell him to get his butt back over here with me.” Curtis grins at me. “And Curtis, you hurt her, and I’ll get my daddy to bury your body where no one will find you, okay?” I'm really eager for Curtis's book. I liked this on but Curtis stuck out for me and I see him becoming my favorite character.

This was a great read. Kathleen Kelly is the MC queen and now we get more from the Rockers, This isn't just Truth's story though this covers it all. We get all of the past too, we hear Faith and Dex's tale and also get snippets from Truth's sisters. Truth and Rosie's book is about finding that one person that can make the heartbreak of the past fade and give hope for the future. The book ends leaving the door open for the next book and I have a feeling it's going to be an exciting one. This would have been a five star read but I gave it four as me me some parts felt a little rushed.

I still 100% recommend this

OMG! I was first introduced to Truthful Hunter in Kathleen Kelly's Savage Angel MC series. He's Kat's guitarist in her band, The Grinders. And I've followed him as he found Rosie and fell in love. But Kathleen Kelly gives us his back story and I fell in love again. But this time I was enthralled with Dex and Faith. They were so lost. I cried. Neither were perfect - at all. And I found myself blaming Dex, and then blaming Faith, and then getting so mad and sad for both of them. Their's wasn't a happily ever after story, but their story is what made Truth who he is. I'm all about the rock stars, and Ms. Kelly has given us the perfect beginning to a new series. 4.5 stars!

I did not expect any of the book to go the way it has but that's what makes it so good! This story starts from when Dexter and Faith met and how their life evolved. Time passes and the story focuses on Dexter and Faith's son Truthful or Truth as he wants to be called and the things that have gone on in his life and his band mates who are now his family. Because I don't want to give up the plot of this book I will just say that the man has a chance to be better than his father but how much can one soul take. I also loved how the SavageMC was also intertwined in this story. I can't wait to read the next one!

I love all of Kathleen's books and this was no exception. This her new series and I can't wait for books in it. I have always loved Truth. It was great to read about his personal story. He has been through so much and now has found true love with Rosie. Truth had a truly horrible childhood until he found the right foster family and someone to help with his dreams. I can't say enough about this book or how much I loved it. It is a must read and all of Kathleen's books. I need the next book now, either in this series or the Savage MC series. I don't care which one. lol.

Wow!
This is a SAGA …
It takes the reader pretty much completely through the (short, dark) life of a young woman from around her 16th year on … provides alternative POVs so we get her spouse’s story / view on things as well.

Then it presents Truthful’s story from when he’s about 15 … though we met him as a tiny little boy also. Some of the earlier parts were DARK. Impressed with the author’s ability to truly pull at my heartstrings … for a fiction read … when I’m generally very aloof.

It’s not just a sad, epic saga though, it’s so much more because it also packs (in no particular order):

🎸Small town vibes.
★ So much hope.
🎸So much tragedy.
★ Kids, failed by a failing system.
🎸A trip back in time.
★ A second chance at familial love.
🎸Found family.
★ Loads of love … and loss … and overcoming or learning to live with said loss.
🎸Another view at some of the events of some of the ‘Savage Angels’ books.
★ Lots of familiar characters, again from the ‘Savage Angels’ books.
🎸Drama.
★ A peek into ‘rockstar’ life.
🎸Great characters.

Overall, I absolutely couldn/t put this down and when I had to, I missed it pretty badly. Some of the scenes from this book will stay with me a long time.
Recommended read … if you can stomach the darker moments. If not, work through your trauma and come back—it’ll be so worth it (in more ways than one).

Oh, and if you like steamy reads … it’s got that too!

4 stars.

Technically speaking there were a few small things that were a tiny bit rough, but ultimately it sucked me in so hard, I just enjoyed the ride.
(Also, I don’t judge these things when I read an advance reader copy, which at the time of this review, which can be found here

Willingly reviewed on behalf of Endlessly Reading book blog.

Overall Thoughts: This book is supposed to be a rock star romance but IMO it has a character that is a rock star but to me didn't have that feel that I would associate to that genre. Rock Star romances are one of my favorite genres only because music is a big part of my life. But to me this story was a mashed-up mess. It's written in multiple POV which adds to confusion. The story starts off with Dex and Faith, then switches to Truth. You get one chapter wit Truth's girl and then suddenly you're thrown into a chapter about bandmate Curtis. The story felt rushed, there's time jumps everywhere. Personally I think that as a way to build that maybe a into book of Dex and Faith should have come and then Truth's story could have been told without all the different time jumps. Or maybe have told Truth's story and then came out with a story about Dex and Faith to introduce them as a way to bridge the gap between how they fit into Truth's story. If you are going to claim this to be a rocker story then IMO it should be about said rocker. Another confusing thing is that the author tossed in characters from her previous Savage Angels MC series of which I've come to understand is where we've originally met the characters from the Grinders band. This is something that we should be warned that we should read that series first. I enjoyed the story but this isn't a book I'd recommend to any of my friends who enjoy rocker books.

The story starts with a young girl named Faithful who wanted nothing more then to be popular in school. She decides the only way is to be the head football player, once she has everyone will want her. When the time comes she realizes she really doesn't want it this way but he takes what he wants and has a good laugh with all the other players. She ends up being the girl to go to if you want something, a terrible reputation and she meets her bf's brother's friend Dex and well things end up going the same way with him, she thinks that's what he wants and just does it. Now Dex is a whole different guy then the players, the is 10 years older then her 16 years. They are together for a bit of time when she becomes pregnant with Truthful. She never really wanted to be married with 3 kids so young but this is her life. She ends up into drugs, not liking her husband anymore and well pretty much ignoring her girls. So much happens in Truths young life that he has to overcome. This is a story of a young man who pulls himself out of the cellar and with the help of new family and friends makes his life better. Amazing read and I loved how characters intertwine between Kathleen Kelly's stories. I started and barely put it down until I was done, it drags you in and never lets you go and still leaves you wanting more. A must read!!
