Dragged by my good wife kicking and screaming to every single personal growth workshop that was out there, I have to say that the idea of becoming a life coach was the last thing on my mind! So how come I became one? And why is it one of the best decisions I’ve ever made?
My intention is to use this webinar as a vehicle to tell my story. It’s true, I never thought that I would become a Life Coach in a million years, but then I stumbled upon the Principles and everything changed! I’ve always been an avid storyteller and an avid listener of storytelling and when I attended my first ever 3P seminar this is what stood out to me. People were pointing to this understanding by sharing their own personal stories. Up until then, it seemed as though every other workshop I’d been to couldn’t hold my attention for any length of time, but this was different. The weekend came to an end, and I realized that I hadn’t once been bored. This was remarkable to me and when I wondered how this could happen it occurred to me that I’d spent the whole time listening to entertaining stories and not instruction. My mentor’s George and Linda Pransky would say teach The Principles from your grounding, from what you know, don’t try and be clever, or emulate others, speak from your heart and tell your own truth. I can do that, I said to myself, and this is what I’ve been trying to do ever since.
A great friend of mine once told me that the greatest virtue in life is simplicity.
So, this is how I am going to approach this webinar. I’m not going to follow some slick theme or format, I’m going to tell my story, by telling some stories. How I came to the principles. How I stuck with the principles, and how I work with the principles. A lot has happened in the last three years since I came across this understanding, and I’d like to think there will be some value in me sharing about all of the water that’s passed under my bridge.
