Shine is a stand alone romantic comedy by Jacob Chance.
Tyler Shine is a thirty six year old private investigator although he does state once that he never did get a license. So in reality, I’m still not completely sure of what he does.
Bobbi Lee is twenty six years old and has been kind of floating the last two years after the death of her parents. When her friend offers her a job doing secretarial work for her brother, Bobbi decides it’s time to re-enter the work force. That she’s ready. But she definitely wasn’t prepared for her sexy new boss.
These two have chemistry right from the start but Bobbi is determined to keep things professional. Even when Tyler invites her to help him with a job which will require them to spend the weekend out of town. And of course, Bobbi offers to pose as his new wife!
This is a quick, light hearted read with plenty of humor and banter. I read it in one day. Some of it was a little bit too over the top for me and I didn’t really like the way the case ended. It’s not what I expected to happen. But Bobbi Lee and Tyler were cute and fun together and I enjoyed them. This book made for an enjoyable afternoon of reading.

I mean wrote this? I am so hot here for it! It tells me that what women dream of is not actually only possible in our imagination. Dear, dear Jacob, I devoured your little book within just a few hours and it was just divine. I loved the unashamed and honest relationship Tyson and Bobbie had from the very beginning. They were playful and protective of each other, just the dreamy kind of relationships we like when ... well we can't afford to blush all the time surrounded by a bunch of strangers.
Additionally, the mindset prominent in Shine resonated with me as well.

OMG! As much as I love Jacob’s sports romances, his romantic suspense novels will always be my favorite. The way he can mix the gritty suspense with the fun loving and hilarious banter between his characters just makes reading his stories a true joy! Tyson and Bobbi have joined my list of favorite characters and I found myself laughing out loud at some of their antics, but then gasping in anticipation a moment later. Highly recommend!

This book was so awesome and I couldn’t put it down! To me, Jacob can literally write anything and he creates a super amazing story! The banter and comedy along with the suspense is the perfect combo.
I loved Tyson and Bobbi together, their banter throughout the book had me cracking up plus their chemistry is on point! I was laughing through the book and on the thrill of what was going to happen next. There were some pretty enjoyable side characters along for the ride as well. This book was well written and captivating, as all his all his books are! I definitely recommend!

SHINE is a super fun read full of the best banter and suspense. The banter in this one had me laughing the whole way through! Bobbi and Tyson’s chemistry came with the funniest and flirtiest one liners. Jacob did not disappoint! Love, love,loved!

I loved this book. Tyson and Bobbi are perfection together. They compliment each other so well. The banter between the two had me smiling throughout the book.

What keeps me coming back to Jacob Chance’s books is his variety! He goes from sports romance to a more action packed storyline! Each book always packs surprises and really sets themselves apart! I have always loved his sports romance books but I am head over heals for his more action packed romances!
Bobbi and Shine from their first meeting are hilarious! They just clicked and their friendship came easily! The attraction though was fire and was hard to keep platonic till finally they just couldn’t! Their banter had me rolling with laughter! I love how strong and independent Bobbi is! She is who she is! Love her or hate her the girl has fun and it’s that shine that just attractions Tyson!
I was shocked with the ending but I love how real life and honest it was! (If you know you know)! Things weren’t wrapped in a pretty little bow but more gritty and honest!
A definite must read if you love high angst, hilarious banter and two main characters that will have you hooked from the start!

I loved this! Jacob certainly knows how to hook you into a book and keep you entertained till the very end. Bobbi & Shine complimented each other perfectly, their banter was hilarious, and their attraction and chemistry was hot!! Add in the action, suspense and laugh out loud humour, this was an outstanding read.

Get ready for a new adventure by Jacob Chance that will take you to a place of lies, betrayals and a love no one saw coming. For years Tyson has been on his own always in danger, never settling and living life as it goes. The thing is he has never thought of someone besides himself but Bobbi takes him by surprise in a way he never saw coming. Jacob Chance shows us that no matter how dangerous your life can be there's always a light in the darkness. Amazing Read
I absolutely love this story. Shine and Bobbi are off the charts fun together. Their journey together is adventurous, fun, and action packed. Must say I enjoyed The Chad. The writing and flow of this book is incredible. I beyond recommend this book and author.

Loads of fun
I can't put into words just how much I loved Tyson and Bobbie. They're banter was witty and full of humor, they were so much fun to read. Bobbie is cute,smart, and funny. Tyson is hilarious, heroic, and downright sexy. This may be my favourite couple Jacob Chance has written since Belfast and Georgia. This book had lots of dialogue and there wasn't a dull moment in sight. All in all a fun read, not to mention definitely five stars.

Shine is a fun & witty slow burn with a side of mystery…it takes a little bit for Tyson and Bobbi to give in but once they do 🔥
Bobbi is smart, witty and exactly what Shine needs. He’s pretty much a reclusive bounty hunter/PI/jack of all trades😉 but Bobbi spunkiness and go with the glow attitude makes him realize he can have more.

Shine is a quick, sexy and fun book that I really enjoyed. Tyson Shine aka tall, dark, delicious and bearded was the perfect way to start off my March reading list. He and his assistant, Bobbi were an excellent team, their hilarious and flirty banter was on point and I’m so glad they crossed those blurred lines. They were a steamy and hot match made in heaven.
This book had me laughing from beginning to end. Couple that with the action scenes and you have one heck of an entertaining book. Shine is definitely the light hearted book that I needed in my life.

I was hooked during the first chapter with the banter and storyline. The book did get a little slow in the middle, but the ending was unexpected.

I have always liked his sports romance books but I have enjoyed the hitman books as well.
Tyson and Bobbi were fantastic with some great banter, whit, and chemistry for sure. Tyson is older and his sister, Jessica is the one to get Bobbi hired for the job.
It is hilarious with the two getting in odd and extreme situations and how they work thru them is great. There is immediate chemistry and Bobbi is enamored from the start but you see that Tyson is just as much. They play off each other well and friendship is present which is something they both need!
There is a few twists that I didn’t expect but it was great to see them get resolved. I ultimately just want to read more! It was a great cute read and quick…I finished in day which isn’t common for me.
Some Easter eggs and pirates in the story that are fantastic!!!! 😋

You know those romcoms where the characters are a little crazy? That’s exactly what we have here. Bobbi more than Shine and it made the book enjoyable. It’s a slow burn with a lot of banter and there was a mystery, but it was not what caught my attention here, it was the couple itself. There are some hot scenes, but only towards the 2/3 of the book. I recommend it if you want something light to pass the time.

laugh out loud funny!
Once again Jacob brings us a unique book, mixing a romcom with suspense. The suspense is action pact that plays out like a movie in your head and the comedy in this one is perfection. I haven’t laughed this hard at a book in a long time. Bobbi with her quick wit and one liners and Tyson with his sarcastic comments had me laughing the entire time. These two had some of the best banter I have read and it was just hilarious.
I loved both Tyson and Bobbi, they were opposite in so many ways but perfect for each other. The build up and chemistry was fantastic and you knew once these two got together it was going to be worth the wait.
I enjoyed the story and enjoyed these two. I really hope we see more of these characters again because I loved them both. Definitely a must a read. Another fantastic book from Jacob that has left me wanting more!
Once again Jacob brings us a unique book, mixing a romcom with suspense. The suspense is action pact that plays out like a movie in your head and the comedy in this one is perfection. I haven’t laughed this hard at a book in a long time. Bobbi with her quick wit and one liners and Tyson with his sarcastic comments had me laughing the entire time. These two had some of the best banter I have read and it was just hilarious.
I loved both Tyson and Bobbi, they were opposite in so many ways but perfect for each other. The build up and chemistry was fantastic and you knew once these two got together it was going to be worth the wait.

Tyson & Bobbi were perfect for each other. Their banter was off the charts and might be the best Jacob has written so far. The chemistry was undeniable & together these two were explosive. I just loved everything about this book from the first to last sentence.

Loved this book and I fell for Tyson right away. I enjoyed the chemistry, suspense and storyline. Tyson was a mysterious and intriguing character and I could not get enough.

Jacob Chance’s books just keep getting better and better. And this book, Shine, does not disappoint.
I think the two characters Tyson and Bobbi are the best.
Their perpetual banter and back and forth between them is priceless. But my real favorite is Bobbi’s landlord. OMG thus woman is my spirit animal. I laughed so hard with this book.
A definite must read.

I completely enjoyed this fast-paced, funny, intriguing, and steamy story. Tyson and Bobbi are awesome together and have fantastic banter and chemistry. I highly recommend this book.

This was really funny. Jacob always has humor in his books but this one was extra funny. Tyson was hot, funny, badass and adorable. Bobbi was funny too. She's probably fun to be drunk with. This has some action that was really good and again funny.
