Zac's Walking Home

I’m walking home from university at the end of my third year, yes I know I’m crazy but let me explain. It’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t been affected by cancer these days. My family was worst affected when my dad died of lung cancer on my 19th birthday. It has somewhat understandably made my birthday hard to stomach so every year since I have asked for donations rather than presents. In my second year at university I was sitting in a pub, as students do, and I thought I wanted to do something bigger and better. I wanted to do something properly challenging. In a brief moment of genius or insanity or maybe both I decided that I wanted to walk home from university. So here’s my bid. After my last exam of my final year I want to walk from the University of Salford to my family home in Chelmsford. I’m going to carry a backpack with everything I need for the walk with me. I’m looking forward to meeting some lovely people along the way so if you want to go for a day out walking feel free to join me for a day, the more the merrier. If you have a house or even a patch I can put a tent in somewhere on route for a night it would be gratefully received. I would love to see donations to help fight cancer.
