Seattle Storm History
The Seattle Storm are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 2000, the Storm have qualified for 18 of 24 postseasons and won four WNBA Championships, in 2004, 2010, 2018, and 2020. The Storm have built a sustained legacy with players such as 2022 Hall of Fame inductee Swin Cash, three-time WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson and three-time regular season assist leader Sue Bird. In 2015, the Storm drafted Jewell Lloyd at No. 1. She went on to be named Rookie of the Year, became a five-time All-Star and in 2023, won the Peak Performer Award for leading the league in scoring. The Storm’s subsequent No. 1 pick in 2016 was Breanna Stewart, who would win Rookie of the Year and MVP as a member of the Storm. In 2021, the Storm won the WNBA’s inaugural in-season Commissioner’s Cup.

Climate Pledge Arena, home of the Seattle Storm, is located in the Seattle Center entertainment complex in downtown Seattle. Opened in 1962 as the Washington State Pavilion, Climate Pledge Arena has undergone several renovations, most recently between 2018 and 2022. The Storm are supported at home games by the team’s mascot, Doppler. Fans set a franchise attendance record at 18,100 spectators for Sue Bird’s final regular season game in August 2023.

All great, will visit again and again. The only things that should improve: 1. Food was ridiculously overpriced, and prices were not showed, the pretzel and beer place was cheating!! 2. We couldn’t enter the team store at all, line was too long, need a solution to be developed.

It is a bit confusing to find your way around but the staff is pleasant and helpful. The game was exciting and the team play was excellent. Will definitely return and recommend! Loved Caitlin! She will be better than advertised. Jewel is our superstar though! Love her game!
