It's all happening! Countdown to two exhibitions in Frankfurt.

We're in the home stretch here, 97% of the work finished and framed for two exhibitions in Frankfurt beginning August 25th and running through the end of September.

Standing between me and a smooth getaway in my large white rental van that I'll drive through five countries (UK, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany) via the Eurotunnel are a lot of non-studio tasks. Staying organized is my ticket to ride:

Artwork labels for the back of each frame
Certificates of Authenticity for each piece
Inventory reports for both galleries
Wrapping and packaging for the journey
Loading and securing the work
Loading tools and equipment for installation (including my trusty sewing machine)

This all happens next week, along with One. More. Piece. that will be finished by mid-week next week.

Because my work is comprised mainly of paper and ephemeral materials, most of it has been framed for these exhibitions. I've been working with two excellent framers, essential to giving the work a level of professional finishing. The investment is significant, but worth it – professional framing really elevates the artwork!

A huge thank you to Paul Webb of Artwork C reations, who did all of the Playing With Fire work for Galerie Uhn. Paul worked tirelessly to carefully and meticulously frame and protect this rather fussy work.

And a heartfelt thank you to Simon Webb of Mount Art Services, who inspired me to take my sewn image pieces for Object (Im)permancence in an exciting new direction by sewing the artwork into the frames, which in turn, inspired a two-meter tall free-standing sculpture for the exhibition.
